Peter Pajama is a scam website NOT a Peter Alexander outlet – WARNING WHAT HAPPENED TO US AND MANY OTHERS. If you search for Peter Alexander on Google to check on their sales the peterpajama.com website comes up close to the top of the search page below the Peter Alexander site which is offering a 30% off sale. The Peter Pajama site offers 80% off. When you click on the Peter Pajama site it looks exactly the same as the Peter Alexander sale site BUT with the 80% off price in Australian dollars showing instead of the 30%. The site has the https and padlock and a trust certificate. When you go to pay (on a site showing all the security logos) it only accepts credit card. When you complete the purchase you are taken rapidly through two websites till a sale confirmation page in US$ and the amount showing in US$ was more than the AU$99 purchase we made PLUS Peter Alexander is an Australian company and the payment receipt should have been in Australian dollars. We quickly got onto our credit card site to lock the card and while doing this the sale appeared on our transactions listing the sale as Aooashop.com Hongkong Games. We phoned our card company, cancelled the card and started a transaction dispute. CHECKING THIS SCAM ONLINE: If you search in google "Is Peter Pajama a scam website" a US Scamwatcher site comes up with all the details of this scam and entries from people who were caught. If you go to the Help and Support section (link is at the bottom of the first webpage) of the REAL Peter Alexander site it lists the only two websites that sell Peter Alexander clothing online and every other site is fraudulent and you should contact you financial institution. HOW THE SCAM WORKS: You buy from the Peter Pajama site and pay and get the sale confirmation and then soon after you get an email confirming the purchase from eva@foruservice.com (you get a 403 forbidden message if you search for foruservice). A few days later you get another email with a tracking number for your package and the tracking company (17 Track net and it is a genuine Chinese package tracking company) to go to check on the progress of your package. Soon your package appears on the 17 Track net site so you think you are going to get the clothing you ordered. Weeks later your package arrives from Peter Pajama BUT it is some small rubbish item like fake sunglasses, a pair of socks, a pack of face masks. THE COUNTRY ROAD SCAM: Last year the same scam was being used to trick Country Road buyers with a fake Country Road website. Friends of ours recently told us they had the same experience and bought over $400 worth of clothing (at 80% off) and many weeks ended up with a knitted baby's bonnet in the post.
