Peter's General Repairs

Peter's General Repairs of PORT PIRIE resorted to misogynistic defamation of me after being repeatedly unreliable – Please don't hire Peter Gregory Wilson currently trading in Port Pirie as Peter's General Repairs and Pirie Pest Control. After I explained what I needed (specific repair work) over the phone, which he agreed to do, he also agreed on a specific time he would be at my property. When he hadn't turned up more than two hours later, I called him and he claimed that he was waiting for me to send photos of the damaged areas first, which I had already sent more than two hours earlier. Finally he turned up, asked a lot of questions (for quotes of other work I needed) and said he would be back first thing 9am the next day to start work.

But he texted that evening, saying he was now needed somewhere else at 9am to do emergency work (I had broken windows from an intruder in my carport/garage area earlier that morning, is that not an emergency??) and would be finished before noon. At 12.15, when he still hadn't turned up, I called him and he said he would now be there by the end of the day. He was very rude and very aggressive from the start but especially when I asked for a clearer idea of when. He ended the call and then texted that he now wouldn't be doing any of the work at all, claiming that he felt 'uncomfortable'.

Over the next few weeks, I received numerous demands for payment with ever increasing interest added. Then a debt collector contacted me who provided a statement of claim written purportedly by Peter Gregory Wilson in which he did not tell the truth about his visit to my property including by making direct allegations and also insinuations about my behaviour (as a woman) towards him which I found humiliating and infuriating because they were completely untrue and in my opinion misogynistic and defamatory, again claiming that he felt 'uncomfortable' on my property. Essentially these false allegations which I found extremely offensive were made to claim that my so-called 'strange' behaviour towards him on my property was why he did not want to do repair work. But the truth is evident in the texts he had sent at the time because they clearly show that he was making arrangements to return to my property to do repair work, especially the final one in which he specifically referred to my phone call as the reason he was now deciding not to do any of the work for which he had been hired. It's my opinion that this guy is easily offended and highly egotistical. I would be interested in knowing what an expert in NPD would make of him.

He was hired to do specific repair work which he agreed to over the phone (as well as providing quotes for putting security bars over the house windows) but in the statement provided by the debt collector apparently on behalf of Peter Gregory Wilson, he claimed that he was hired for a 'make safe' only and this is, again, completely untrue.

Then when he still hadn't extracted any money from me, the real estate agent who had sold my house to me contacted me on behalf of Peter Gregory Wilson, repeating these false claims that I owed him money and stating that he had been told by Peter Gregory Wilson that he 'didn't want to get involved' in repair work. I was so distressed at being subjected again to these false allegations and this suggestion, again, that what was being falsely alleged about me personally as a woman. I could not deal with responding to this real estate agent at the time and I will never seek any property sales or any related services from that anyone in that agency ever again.

I was told by certain people and businesses around Port Pirie that Peter Gregory Wilson has a reputation for abandoning (storming out, refusing to return to) jobs he has been hired to do and then billing people. One well-established and in my opinion reputable local business (I have hired them on about three occasions and would not hesitate to do so again) stated 'He is known for doing this. Let's put it this way: I would NOT want HIM on my property!!'

My research under his name and ABN reveals that he has been involved in the following businesses in about the last 20 years; fastfood/takeaway, bobcat hire, flooring (two different companies), concreting, all of which appear to have Queensland postcodes, something called Bitza etc, as well as his incarnation in Port Pirie as a handyman. This last one appears to be the one he has been able to keep going the longest however there appears to be another addition, the latest one being in pest control which was registered in 2024, with a service address in Port Pirie but the principal place of business is in Port Augusta. Perhaps the continuation of his handyman business is in large part due to being actively referred by certain people such as the real estate agent from whom I bought my house. This is despite someone else in that same real estate agency also advising me that Peter Gregory Wilson has a reputation for this exact same stressful and unprofessional behaviour he put me through. I can't recall ever being contacted by a debt collector in my life. On his facebook page, an only fans female is featured below 'followers' (she is the sole 'friend' featured there). His white work van is featured at the top of his facebook page which, in addition to the words 'Peter's General Repairs' with a mobile phone number, also contains the words 'Pirie Pest Control' with a different mobile phone number.

In my opinion a tradie or a handyman who behaved in this way repeatedly would be driven out of business within a few months in a larger place such as Sydney or Melbourne but here it would appear he has continued to enjoy the support of this particular male real estate agent or perhaps even the real estate agency in general. For a handyman to routinely abandon work he has previously agreed to do suggests to me that he is not short of ongoing work or that he needs the money.

So that averages out in my estimation to about one new and seemingly short-lived enterprise (or one that is then put on the back burner) which is then shortly afterwards abandoned or discontinued about every four years. Some of these appear to still be current and others appear to no longer be registered. It's certainly a very interesting work history.
