Very poor service – very difficult to communicate with over the phone, initially refused to cancel my policy and kept trying to reschedule my phone call. asked could they speak to my partner instead of dealing with me to see if they could convince him instead. Despite providing comprehensive medical documentation supporting the incident as an accident, PetsonMe classified it as a hereditary condition. This contradiction between their assessment and medical advice caused significant frustration and confusion.
Based on this experience, it's difficult to recommend PetsonMe Insurance for emergency vet care. The lack of transparency regarding coverage details poses a significant risk to pet owners facing unexpected medical expenses.
Moving forward, PetsonMe must should pritorise transparency and clarity regarding what is covered under hereditary conditions versus accidental incidents.

asked us to supply tax invoices and the bank details, the whole claim process took two days. We are very grateful for taken away extra stress from us. Because having a sick dog which is a part of the family is stressful enough. We are real people with a real dog and no one paid to us to wright this review. Amazing company! – Fantastic pet insurance company, I wouldn’t be with anyone else! Their monthly premium is cheaper than so many of the others, and they cover so much more! I especially love the wellness package that pays for my yearly vaccinations, and when I had to make a claim recently, the process was so quick and simple and paid out within 24 hours!! Not transparent re annual vaccinations NOT covered unless you pay additional – Lured by good customer reviews was astounded that 6 months in, I make my first claim to be told annual vaccinations are ineligible unless you have ADDITIONAL coverage! The best insurer iv had whether it be home, car, pet etc – For such a relatively new insurer on the market, it came recommended by a friend so i took up a policy approx 18 mths ago. Ethically problematic business practices – Warning: If you own a brachycephalic dog breed (French Bulldog, Pug etc.), or are a breeder, please do not take out this insurance. They specifically state that any surgery related to BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) is excluded, which a high percentage of these dogs require. I believe this company is ethically problematic, as it actively pursues breeders, offering incentives to sign up new puppy owners for 'two months free coverage' - knowing they exclude common conditions of the breed. If the breeder does not read the find print/wants the kickback Petsonme offers, and a condition is diagnosed during this two month period (say if you just assume the breeder would use a breed-appropriate insurance policy) your pet may end up with a pre-existing condition. This could be financially and emotionally devastating considering other insurers who DO cover this (such as Bow Wow Meow, etc.) will then not cover the condition either.
When I approached them about this their response was:
'We work with a number of French Bulldog breeders and have always maintained that we do not cover BOAS, many reputable breeders still choose to work with as they are confident in their breeding that the condition is not prevalent.
Once again thank you for taking the time to write to us and rest assured we will highlight to French Bull dog owners going forward that BOAS is excluded from coverage'.
I don't believe this company should be allowed to actively pursue and offer incentives to breeders, and I don't think any reputable breeder should place their puppies on a policy that actively excludes common, breed-specific conditions, especially BOAS. The whole situation is unacceptable.
