for a condition which Ive claimed for before that is already extensively documented on my pet’s vet files. I lodged the claim on 8 September, and it’s now 30 September. Despite following up several times, I keep being told it will be processed soon, but nobody can tell me when. Apparently, they’ve introduced a new system that is causing significant delays.

I actually feel awful for their customer service agents, who are likely copping abuse from frustrated customers.

If you're looking for pet insurance, I'd strongly recommend going elsewhere. Many other insurers offer gap only payments directly at the vet, meaning you don't have to pay the full bill upfront and wait weeks for reimbursement. Knose doesn't offer this, and given their premiums increasing drastically and unreliable processing times, I can no longer recommend them.

I don't know what is going on at Knose Pet Insurance. 5 years ago when I first insured my dog the claiming process was extremely slow. can't get through on the phone without being on hold for almost an hour which I've had for both claims, the online chat isn't much better either. How come they can process them the same day that you call chasing it up? Just to top it off I received my dogs renewal and it went from $128 month to $246 a month. Yes I know he has turned 10 and blah blah so how can that be justified. The excuse I got was his age and that he's had claims. Isn't that what we have insurance for? Just so I can afford to keep his insurance going I have had to opt for a $500 excess now. They know they have you tied in because you can't change to another company without things being classed as pre existing. How does the premium almost double in a year. Not good enough Knose. I have recommended you to many people but I won't be any longer. You sent me an email asking for a review but as soon as I gave you a bad score there wasn't an option for anything other than "thanks for your feedback" so here is your review.

All of these reviews about knose pet insurance saying they pay up within a few days is absolute bs ive made many claims at least 20 and every single time ive had to spend 40 minutes on the phone chasing up my refund. This is the worst pet insurance ive ever had, do yourself a favour and go with a different company because this one is absolutely hopeless, they like taking your money but dont like reimbursing.

Solid company that pays out quickly. Hasn’t raised our fees quickly either so can only say good things at this stage. Been with them a few years and started to claim a bit more as old mate ages. Show reply

went for it, not thinking that each year it could go up soo dramatically.

My babies only just turned 4 and if I kept the same plan which was at the 90% cover then by now I would probably be paying about $150 a month. But I HAD to change it after one year because it practically doubled so i had to change the cover from 90% to 80% then had to increase the excess, and its just gone up again from $113.80 to $134.57. Its a ridiculous amount for one young pet. I don't know how much longer i’ll actually be able to have the pet insurance at this rate. NOT HAPPY!!

Knose Pet Insurance is always user friendly and if you’re having any difficulties with their portal, they go above and beyond to assist you. I did it this way and the lovely lady put it straight through and I had my payment the following day. Show reply

Knose Pet Insurance have been covering our two Great Danes for the past 5 years. The assessors are quick and fair with the assessments and in providing the rebate directly to our nominated account. Through claims relating to snake bites, minor bumps and scrapes to major TPLO surgery, we have never been refused. Knose have been easy to deal with and empathetic every time. This is my second pet to be insured through Knose. My dog required surgery and Knose were very efficient. Their claims process is simple through the online process and I was also able to upload the vet records so was all completed in one application. This insurance company has a poorly written PDS which allows to much room for interpretation. Further they have now more than doubled the insurance premium twice now in 5 years. Avoid at all costs

claims address of "claims@knose...." When I did use their Portal nil action therein for 11 days till I rang to complain. Had sent all vet notes with the paid invoices but same got "lost" in their wonderful Portal as "file was too Big" ! Truly Amateur Hour ! I dumped the awful Pet Insurance Aust & the Filipino run Bow Wow Insurance for this lot but BIG problems here with alleged "new" and "old" Portals running simulataneously.

Avoid this dodgy company at all costs. I have a 10 months old puppy, and Knose was recommended by the breeder. injection due to the dog vomiting. I logged the claim and never heard back despite sending emails to their support email. The claim also doesn't show up in their buggy portal despite receiving an email with confirmation. I escalated with AFCA as this company is completely useless. Once I receive my money back, I will cancel the insurance straight away - my dog has no preconditions so I have no issues moving to a different, much better provider.

I have never come across a pet insurance company as positive as Knose. Not only are they fast in assessing claims, I have never had a claim knocked back. Customer for life! Show reply

Our claim was easy to lodge and documents also easy to upload. Once the claim was received the team were proactive in their communication and provided regular updates on the progress of the claim.
