I am now commencing my 4th year with Petsy pet insurance. I have a Pet Protection Plus policy for my cat. Am very pleased with the professional level of service I receive and feel this is a good policy for my 9 year old cat. Benefits are paid promptly in a no-fuss way and service is friendly. Feel this policy is competitively priced and that I get good value from it. Pretty satisfied with this pet insurer at this stage.
Petsy is truly just so easy to manage and easy to make a claim with. My baby has been suffering with ear infections and has been back and forth to the vet. Petsy make it so easy and stress free when making a claim. Simply upload the invoice, submit and thats all there is to it . When Harley, our Maltese x Shitzu Poodle, had a seizure and we had to suddenly to go to emergency, it was one of the most stressful experiences we’ve had as pet owners. Petsy. Knowing Harley’s treatment and ongoing medication could be covered gave us real peace of mind at a time when we were already worried enough. The claim was easy to submit and paid VERY quickly, but what really stood out was the customer service. The team were kind, helpful and genuinely caring. insurance, it could be devastating. I told him I had decided on Petsy, but he wasn’t familiar with them and suggested some of the bigger, more well-known companies. I went home, did more research, compared policies, and checked differences. I found those other insurers had sub-limits and lots of fine print, while Petsy was clear, straightforward, and covered what mattered. So I stuck with my choice. Less than four months later, the vet’s warning came true – our puppy suffered tick paralysis, and we went through absolute hell. At that moment, all we cared about was her coming back healthy. I hadn’t even thought about the insurance claim, the Vet had put through the claims automatically, our puppy was still at the hospital when Petsy emailed about the refund, it was a beautiful surprise. They processed everything quickly and with no hidden clauses – exactly what you hope for in a crisis. Petsy is amazing. Honest, straightforward, and so supportive during one of the hardest times of our lives.
My Bernese mountain dog developed a limb and fearing the worst we were very quickly into CT scans and surgery on her shoulder. covered. Petsy makes it easy to claim and we’ve gotten pretty much every claim we made paid out fast. I recommend it to anyone - especially new pet parents like me. Who tend not to know things about pet care until they have to learn the hard way.
Follow-up · My excess is $500. I don’t have any exclusions but if you have a brachycephalic dog breed you might. I got the policy online from the Petsy website. I would recommend it to anyone with a pet especially a young puppy. The earlier in their life you get the policy the better because more things will be covered.

Follow-up · Product review asked me to write a follow up review. I can’t comment much on the current customer service etc because we left after 1 year due to a crazy increase in our premium. Have been with a different insurer since with no increases and good service.
I really don’t trust insurance companies these days, regardless of what I am insuring. However, Petsy has restored my faith in that they are doing the right thing by who they are insuring. Follow-up · Petsy’s support has been a life saver for my family, as the costs of surgery when so unexpected and very high. The process was seamless after the review of our vet reports was very quick. We chose Petsy because after reading reviews and their values, they just seemed down to earth, real and motivated to do the right thing by our puppy and us as a family.

I am genuinely so grateful towards Petsy who accepted the claim with no issues, and anything that wasn’t covered was clearly stated and explained, which was all reasonable. They seem to really be more than an insurance company, and it’s refreshing to see the humanness in a company that helps people not worry about money during an already stressful time. I’ve had to make decisions for my furry family members based on my financial capacity in the past, which is an awful feeling. I could not have been more thankful that I could just help my cat get back to her usual healthy, loving self. Would recommend to anyone and everyone with a pet!

of water and I was a bit worried about her so I took her to the vet who checked her out she still needs a wee test but all looks good maybe a little arthritis so got some anti-inflammatory medication for her. And to my surprise my vet has not heard of petsy pet insurance and out of all pet insurance company's and so I had to pay the whole bill and claim the rest back from petsy. Being disabled I don't have much money but I used my pension money and paid it. As soon as I got home I sent the invoice to the insurance company after 3 days I received a email saying before we can pay a claim we need every vet records you have for the past till I got her so 6 or 7 years back I have no idea the name of any vet she has been too maybe the RSPCA for her vaccines. I now live out in the country. I have two dogs who touch wood have been well most of their life's. But the point I am making why wait till I need my money to live on and ask about her past history. Been taking my $150 every month. If they was not going to cover you pets for any reason then they should say and ask for my dogs history. What if something serious had happened to one of my dogs and they needed $8000 of treatment and me thinking I have insurance so I am ok for the insurance company to turn around and tell me I may not be covered. It's leaves a bad taste in my mouth. So I would recommend you contact them and make sure you have cover. Ask them if they need to contact every vet your animal has ever seen to make sure you pet has insurance. Being sick and disabled it takes time to find out addresses of vets ECT should of asked for this information from the start of the insurance cover. It makes you think they can choose who to cover so they can leave out people who may make a large claim.

within five days the claim had been processed and two days later the funds were in my account. All I had to do to make my claim was provide the details of the vet and invoices if the care was complete and they would do all the work getting information from the vet. They also checked in with me a few times during this process to let me know how the claim was going and asked me how my puppy was going.
I have been with Petsy for three months and they have been so much more approachable than my previous insurer. Their policy is the same price of my previous policy but covers two dogs while my previous policy only covered the one. I wish I had been with Petsy earlier as my other cavoodle needed to have dental surgery on some adult teeth and my current policy would have covered this when my old insurer did not.
They also provide a Pre-existing assessment for all pets that helps to outline what vet costs will or won’t be deductible based on their prior vet history. They are also open to updating information when some existing vet notes change, such as a dog no longer eating poop!
My amazing experience with Petsy has made me speak highly of them to everyone who has heard about my poor puppy getting sick and I recommend them to anyone who has a pet.

Okay and Average Pet insurance – Petsy promises a lot on their website and whilst they are okay they are just okay. Everything just seems to have an extra step with Petsy and they use red tape to avoid some claims (I know isn’t every insurance company the same)? Confirmed not pre-existing, then another agent denied claim – I insured our 10 week old "healthy" puppy. As part of a routine vaccination (after policy was taken out) the vet checked pup's ears (brown, not irritated). In the pre-check Petsy initially said there was a pre-existing condition. Months later I put in a claim for a new mild yeast infection in ear and follow up. Claim denied due to a pre-existing condition! I emailed back with Petsy's previous advice to me. I did not hear back from that agent - then almost 1 month later I received an email from Petsy that I had made a complaint and that they would get back to me within 30 more days. In the meantime I am paying for cover, and am out of pocket awaiting more advice when they previously said it was NOT pre-existing. How can this be? Awaiting the outcome.
