So thankful for this policy!
Comprehensive CoverRecently my dog was hit by a car. I was frightened that I would pay the full $9200 and be assessed to only receive half but they paid the advertised 80%! It was such a relief. It was quick and to my bank again so soon! Definitely recommend for peace of mind.

Pet Insurance AustraliaExcellent service. I have been with PIA for 6 years. They have provided consistent service. As soon as I put the claim through the app, I literally have a response in less than 24 hrs. I have never had any issues with a claim. Most importantly they are very caring to my dashie. Always ask how she is doing. Many companies just want to take your money. PIA are genuine about helping and their refunds are always received within 24 hrs of making the claim. They are particularly good with dachshunds. Would not insure with anyone else. I highly recommend them. Don’t bother looking anywhere else!

Comprehensive CoverI have had two dogs insured with PIA for around seven years. I have always found them very efficient and friendly. Their online claim process is easy and claims are paid very promptly. One of my dogs recently needed extensive treatment and I used the GAP payment option at the vet. This was approved in minutes and the whole process was very straightforward. Unfortunately, my dog had to be euthanased. I appreciated PIA's immediate cancellation of the policy and their acknowledgement of our loss.

Fast and easy claim process
Comprehensive CoverMy kitten got diagnosed FIP, which cost about $5k for the treatment. I tried the gap only claim with my vet and it got approved and processed in 10min with no question asked! I was so worried that the claim process may be lengthy and i may not get the full claim back, but I was very impressive with the quick and easy claim process!
I submitted two other claims myself afterwords and all got processed within 1-2 days, online claim was easy to use as well. Great service and highly recommend!

Comprehensive CoverWe have a beautiful choc lab named Toby. He is generally always in the best of health, but there have been times when a visit to the vets has been necessary. The latest was when we discovered he had some painful cysts developing along his rib cage. So we took him to the Kings Street Vets in Murwillumbah where our Vet Julie Charest decided to operate. His medical care at the Kings Street Vets was as always first rate.
Toby's operation was an outstanding success and he has completed his recuperation phase and is now back to his normal self.

The best decision we made
Comprehensive CoverBeau has had major medical intervention and the insurance company has provided quick support at all stages. We have had cover since Beau was a pup ( 4.5 years) and never been disappointed by the response to queries and claims. Our vets manage the claim process now so that means everything happens quickly. Previously, claims were processed efficiently and cheques mailed in a very short turn around time. A very positive experience at all times.

Exceeding expectations
Major Medical CoverI have only had my newest addition for three weeks and unfortunately he had already sustained a fractured leg. You can imagine my stress level was high by the vets asking me ‘you have insurance right’.
My poor pup had to undergo emergency surgery and stay in hospital for 2 nights with constant care. The experience was dreadful however the process with Pet Insurance Australia was amazing, efficient and easy.
I was so please to also find out that they offer gap only so we didn’t have to pay the whole bill upfront and the process took less than an hr.
I will continue to recommend Pet Insurance Australia to my friends and family.
Thank you again.

Comprehensive CoverThe whole process is so easy. I visit vet, they submit my invoice, I wait 10 minutes and claim is processed. I only then need to pay the Gap. Never let me down
And the peace of mind of pet cover is invaluable.

Comprehensive CoverMy little dog had a trauma to her eye recently, and Pet Insurance Australia have been very quick settling claims and still ongoing treatment, I feel it is well worth the money I have been with them just on 18 months and think I have now come out even with this latest accident.

I am looking to switch pet insurance. My 6 year old dog is pretty good. When he was a puppy he swallowed something (a bone or something) which caused intestinal intersusseption . He had a surgery and his guts were fixed. No issues for over 5 years. Would that be regarded a pre-existing condition? Many thanks.
Hi Larisa. Thank you for your enquiry. Confirming that providing the level of cover is correct and after any waiting periods served, future episodes of foreign body ingestion that bear no relation to the previous instance would be eligible according to the policy's terms and conditions. I hope this has been of some help, have a great day.
My cat needs a total hip replacement on the right side. The surgeon has cleared the left side as being ok. If later down the track, the left side does end up the same as the right is this classed as a pre existing condition?
Hi Jas. As per the Terms and Conditions outlined in the Product Disclosure Statement, a Condition which was first noted prior to your policy Commencement Date or within an applicable Waiting Period is classified as a Pre-existing Condition. Any Vet Expenses related to a Pre-existing Condition, unfortunately, cannot be claimed under the policy and are not eligible for Cover. Under the Terms and Conditions of the policy, a Bilateral Condition means any Condition affecting body parts of which the Pet has at least two, one each side of the body (e.g. ears, eyes, knees and elbows). When applying an exclusion, a Bilateral Condition will be considered a single Condition. This means the Condition being claimed is classified as a Pre-existing Condition and any ongoing Vet Expenses to treat this Condition unfortunately cannot be claimed under the policy.
I hope this has been of some help, have a lovely day.
I am looking to switch pet insurance. My dog has previously had ingestion of foreign object and skin lesions, does this means that I have to wait 18 months to claim for these?
Hi Vevene, I would love to pop you in touch with a PIA Policy Expert over the phone. I'll private message you now for some additional information. Thanks, have a great day.
