It stopped working – I think this is a bad iron it constantly make loud click sound and feel like it is going to blow up or just stop working altogether. The iron never dose a grate job it's always leaves clothes with lines and creasses it should had taken away but fails to even when using spray water or creasses gaurd. It is redicuoles and also this is expensive to bye. I also have investergate other owner of this iron and 2 said the same issue that happens to mine was happening to their ones as well. I also do truly believe they a faulty as and are a waiste of money big time.

Excellent – Fab purchase, looks good in laundry (but even if it was ugly I would still recommend it), love love love it (and so does my hubby, which speaks volumes, what bloke likes ironing??!!) Easy instructions to start using. Easy to fill water (large chamber, sooo much better than refilling every 10 mins or so, more like 1-3 hours, depending on steam level). Locks in place, safe for having around my young kids, and for carrying. Irons like a charm, the pile of ironing disappears very quickly. Perfect for people with wrist problems, iron is not heavy and rests on its soleplate on heatproof pad. NO leaking (YAY YAY YAY!!!) Every other iron I have ever used has always leaked at some point, but not this one. Can finaly iron white clothing without fear of streaks. Chose this iron after reading reviews from overseas for same model, did not read one bad comment apart from price. But there is a saying you get what you pay for...so true It is pricey, but got it on special at David Jones $425 (was $499).
I am now addicted to ironing...
Excellent – I have arthritis and most conventional irons are very heavy to use because of their water storage. This iron is light and don't have to constantly stop to refil, plus no water leakage from iron, also unit cotainer can be filled at any time. Items ironed look 100% better than previously, I wish I'd had this years ago but this is a new, far more improved model than any others on the market. Everything, so light and easy to use
Good – I am extremely happy with my Philips Steam Generator. It will change your view of ironing. It is now a pleasure, not a chore. Yes, they are expensive, but well and truly worth the extra money. I have owned my Philips 8400 for about two months and it has made a remarkable change to my ironing. It is so light and easy to use. I had forgotten how heavy my old conventional iron was ( a Tefal ), until I tried it again recently. I would never go back!! Originally, I was going to buy a Tefal Steam Generator even though I had problems in the past with early disintergration of the surface of their soleplates. In fact,I purchased one, and would you believe it, the entire surface of the soleplate disintegrated the first time I used it!! So, back to the store and I replaced it with a Philips.
The only plus that Tefal has over the Philips (in my opinion) is that you have the option of resting it on it's heel or on the plate and also that the cord is set higher so that it doesn't drag on the fabric. But I would never purchase another Tefal, due to the inherent weakness of the soleplates.
I can't believe how easy it is to iron with one of these. I get my ironing done in half the time and the press looks like it has been dry cleaned. Why didn't I get one of these years ago?!!!. I chose a Phillips as I read some of the European models have service issues. I can't fault this one. I have had it for about eight months and love it. Yes, it really does take the chore out of ironing and it is virtually impossible to ruin my wife's clothes when I iron them. It is not an iron for those that iron something quickly before they go out, as it takes a few minutes to set up. If you are one of those ironers who don't iron until you have a big pile, this baby is for you. I love it!
