Literally died as the warranty ended. Waste of the extra $$$. I'm now using a $25 sunbeam iron which I'm hoping to get my monies worth. Absolute rubbish iron, don't buy. Show details
After using Philips Azur irons for many many years and even my normal go to for wedding gifts I am so disappointed with the new Azur 8000. From day of purchase it has leaked water and discolour on my garments and this is main reason for my review. Unfortunately being unable to control the temperature is also an issue when ironing delicate fabrics. So sad I will never purchase a Philips Azur again. Show details

Worst iron ever – Takes forever to heat up and never gets hot enough to iron linen properly. Also leaks water onto garments. Honestly this is the worst iron I have ever owned and the one I paid the most money for. I’ve since replaced this with an iron that lets me control the temperature myself. I think they are trying to make appliances too clever these days and a computer doesn’t know how to get to the right temperature.

Rubbish – This iron is absolutely rubbish. It drips water and scale strangely builds up on the outside of the iron which indicates to me it leaks or is not sealed properly. Philips have made it impossible to be exchanged or refunded and have given many excuses or keep requesting additional information. I have only had it for 3 months but it's the last time… Read more
I'll purchase anything from Philips. Save your money the product is junk and their customer service is appalling.

Doesn't like cold weather – My old Philips Azure started making ironing hard work so I bought a new one. I used it for the first time yesterday and it ironed like a breeze making short work of the ironing pile and it didn't need filling with water every 5 minutes like the old one. I got it out again today but the blue light on the handle kept blinking and it wouldn't heat… Read more · 1
up. I unplugged it then re-plugged it but still no joy so I rang Philips. It seems my new iron doesn't like the cold weather so I had to boil the kettle, wet a towel with the hot water then stand the iron on it for 3 minutes. Honestly, it's an iron. The customer service person said I could return it but it does do a terrific job once it gets going. At least I'll know what to do the next time it happens, but I do think it's a bit odd.
