I used the mini chopper for first time after bought it from HN and it emitted smoke as well as burnt smell – Love the complete slicing, shredding and all of the package included. At first time of mini chopper usage it emitted smoke from the motor, but after a week it worked out just fine. Perhaps the motor had cooled down. Show reply
Can't live without it – This blender is too good and with im loving to cook more food its just does everything snd its makes my work so much easier for me to cooking and cleaning is also easy worth buying it Show details
Spare parts availability – I love my Viva Food Processor KR7761 however I accidentally lost several parts during a move. Would appreciate if the Phillips team could advise if the discs and small spice cup only are available for purchase so that my machine can be complete again. Show details
Potato slicer – I enjoyed using this processor. Easy to clean and use. In the manual there is a potato slicer, but it did not get it in my box. Was it meant to be included in the box? Show details · 1
Misleading Advertising – The box clearly advertises a bowl size of 2.1 litres. The website description did the same. If you're buying a food processor that advertises 2.1 litres, you would think that is the capacity but oh no. The bowl itself states the maximum as being 1.5 litres. If that was not bad enough it came out of the box faulty. While the motor worked with… Read more
the blender, it did not work with the bowl..
Thankfully I purchased it from Target who refunded me instantly and the person I spoke to was shocked about the false advertising on the box.
Works efficiently – Fantasic! Don’t know why I’ve waited so long to buy one! Works efficiently, quietly and performed all functions well using the different attachments. Impressed by the ease of use, though the directions in the leaflet could have been improved upon. I’ve used a variety of foods in the processor and it didn’t miss a beat. Consider I’ve gotten value for money. Show details · 1
Great value for money processor – For the money, this machine is great value. One thing to realise is that it's a light to medium duty processor, so putting anything too firm is obviously going to break bowls and such - a big ask for something that wasn't designed to be abused. Otherwise, it does everything it should and does it nicely. Really though, if you're expecting a heavy duty processor, then perhaps you should think about spending a few hundred dollars, not $120 odd. Show details · 2
Hi ..if this model is discontinued that mean i can't buy the bowl? I love this super machine ..but w – A beautiful and easy to work when you know the way..every ghing work perfect ..but i admit the bowl is a bit weak..my broke few weeks ago ..i going to missed if cannot find a replace ,it is possible to buy just that .Can somebody give me an advice please?..thanks Show details · 1
Good food processor/blender/chopper but not amazing grater – Bought this from Target as it was on discount - obviously because it’s discontinued. Out of the box it’s easy to set up and clean in the dishwasher. The blender is quieter than my old Kmart blender but works well for smoothies. The chopper and food processor work well. The only downside is the grater. Basically the food pusher doesn’t go all the… Read more · 2
way down and any vegetable will have large bits stuck at the top, not fully grating. But other than that it works fine. Cleans up nicely in the dishwasher.
Great Blender Processor – I bought this food processor blender from Target last year & are happy with it, mostly gets used for blending, but it comes with the juicer, plus many other attachments, it does the job well, would recommend this product. Show reply
Great for biscuit crumbs!!!!!! – I was sick to death of making biscuit crumbs with rolling pin (aka wine bottle) and ziplock bag. Googled extensively for food processor that does this well and found everything but. Anyway, this machine does it perfectly! Have no use for the other attachments (it came with heaps) and will prob never use them. I love the small compact size and… Read more · 1
neat look compared to others, and the price $108 was very reasonable for something I will not use much. Target have them for $99 this week.
This is the worst electrict equipment that I ever bought – I bout Philips Viva collection HR 7761 few weeks ago. When I use it I notice grinder and blender attachments are not working. Then I returned to the seller and bought a same model again. Unfortunately new one also had the same problem. I believe this model has a factory fault. The safety switch is not working while attach grinder and blender to the motor. I really disappointed about the product. Show details

plastic bowl just broke up – Plastic bowl just broke up while fitting the bowl to the motor unit. The bowl seems to be made of plain polyethylene rather than ABS plastic which is the standard. the motor unit is made of ABS , they should have used ABS for the bowl and the jar also. Show details

Could be better – I purchased a Philips Food Processor & while it works great the parts seem to break easily & require replacement. So far I've had to replace a black O-ring for blender which wasn't easy to get & now the lid has broken/chipped. I also wouldn't recommend the blender as it doesn't work well. Show details

A very useful, good value food processor – Unlike many food processors, this one can also make mayonnaise and whip egg whites. The direct drive unit takes up less shelf space than belt drive food processors, and hopefully will last longer. The package includes a standard food processor with a chopping blade, aerating (whipping) blade, several shredding/slicing blades and a dough blade… Read more · 1
(which I haven't yet tried), plus a vitamiser and a small grinder that worked a treat turning chestnuts into puree.
The negatives are that:
* it's not clear whether the main mixing bowl is microwave-safe,
* you will need to find space to store the attachments and numerous accessories, and
* the package doesn't include a spatula, or attachments for squeezing oranges or for slicing potatoes into chips.
A waste of money – When you use it just for a few seconds, not even a minute, It smells like if it is burning. You can´t get the texture of the humus for example, or any creamy texture, the blades are very short. Both of them, the processor and the blender are terrible. My boyfriend gave it as a present for Christmas and I know is not too expensive, but for 750… Read more
Watts of power I would have expected something at least decent.
I went to Target to give it back but I was exeded on the 28 days you have to do so, otherwise I would have to sent it to Sydney (I´m in Cairns) and its not worth it.
Everytime I use it (like now) I think " Such a waste of money!!"

Awesome Multi-functional Unit But – I have loved using every function on this machine! I have 2 small child with allergies so I do a lot of food preparation. I use the blender every day for smoothies, until i dropped and broke the blending jug :( The blending bowl is great for delicious dips, homos and to puree baby food. The grater and slicer for vegetables- fantastic blade! The… Read more · 1
grinder mill is great to make almond meal and other nut/seed flour. All parts are easy to clean! My mum saw how much i used mine and just purchased the latest model. Unfortunately really hard to get replacement parts, even from overseas, found one jug in the UK but the jug alone was more than half the cost of the whole unit. Really miss our smoothies & icy poles especially as its summer! Would love any info on where to acquire new blending jug.
Love it but – Have had my food processor/blender for 3 weeks now, I love the food processor but after 3 uses of the blender the blade no longer spins so now have to return the whole device. Very disappointed as it's Christmas and I really need it and will have to wait weeks for a replacement.

Great little machine! – This is a great value food processor. It's compact and packs away very neatly in the cupboard, has loads of attachments and with the food processor and blender bowls it can pretty much do everything we need a food processor to do. The suction feet on the base are a great idea and work brilliantly. We've had our machine for over a year and it's… Read more · 1
been great. The only negative is that because it's a lower priced machine the plastic is not as good quality as other machines, so when we dropped the lid on a tiled floor it shattered and spare parts were very difficult to find.
Good processor but the blender hasn't lasted – Similar to a few other reviews, we have loved this processor and the blenders up until recently, but are really disappointed that the blender, after only 12 months, now leaks on use. We are a family of two, so haven't given the processor too much work. We picked it based on good reviews, but it really hasn't lasted.

What a very versatile food processor at a low price – Last year I bought this Philip food processor for $99. What an excellent value for such a very versatile food processor. It is easy to use and easy to clean. It has a bowl, a blender and a grinder mill plus 5 different stainless steel disc inserts. I often quickly use it to grate vegetables. It makes cooking so much quicker. Great product! Show reply
Good product at a fair price – This is my first food processor and I'm very happy with it so far. I've had it for about 4 months now and use it regularly. I don't really use anything other than the bowl and dual metal blade insert to make things like dips, mashed cauliflower, cauliflower rice, smoothies and sorbets. I attempted to use the jug to make a banana smoothie however… Read more
the blades struggled with the frozen banana so I just stick to using the main bowl and dual blade insert, which is fine.

partly excellent / partly poor – All blades are excellent, multi-functional, sharp. Phillips have decided to use a poor quality black resinous plastic on the base of the blenders (bowls), it wears out after only 6 months of low usage. It has a 2 year warranty, but Phillips are reluctant to cover the bowls, even though by Australia Consumer laws they have to. Plastic shoot cracked when grating cheese. multifunctionality poor quality plastic wearing out after only 6 months

Well haven't had much chance to use it actually – only used it once to make breadcrumbs which it did.. The suction feet stuck so strongly onto the bench that when I tried to pull it off the bench the food processor bowl fell off. It broke. I rang the philips 1300 number from a previous review here and was told there was no one to take my call ring again later, which I did. Same thing. … Read more
Finally pushed spare parts option and was put onto south side electronics...told to go on their website to make order...went onto website..impossible to use...rang number on website...spoke to nice woman.. will have to pay $30 for new bowl and $15.00 delivery... not sure its my fault that the parts are stored in Sydney and I live in Melbourne...not convinced I should bother as it all seems too hard and expensive..I have spent hours getting this far... it makes breadcrumbs and it seems like it would be good

Broke on third use – The third time I used it, to gently grate some carrots (applying little force) the metal grating insert popped out of the plastic disc and broke plastic off of the inside of the lid. I should have bought a processor with full metal discs. Ok other than the poorly designed disc and inserts. Metal blade inserts are inferior to full metal discs.

Don't waste your $$$ – I had this processor for about 3 months and it completely lost power, I was trying to process an onion to make a curry paste and it would not even cut through it. I was disappointed as I loved all the accessories it came with but I guess you get what you pay for. It was cheap. The number of accessories Not very powerful
99% AS GOOD AS $500 MODELS AT 20% THE PRICE – I was torn between 2 much more expensive food processors, the Breville & the Kenwood when i came across this at HarveyNormans. With an RRP for $149, a sticker price of $129 i got it for $99 cash which clenched the deal as it passed the value test by a wide margin. First i dont see why anyone would give this a bad review, it works every bit as good… Read more
as its more expensive companions on the shelves beside it. While not made of metal it is a quality plastic and of decent weight, not flimsy or cut price at all. First i checked the blades and the bloody bandaid says its sharp enough of any kitchen and made of quality stainless steel. The vitamizer has a blade which is sturdy, sharp and made to crush ice to powder very quickly! The extras all fit in a supplied container and thats handy as i wouldnt want to be fishing around a draw and come on contact with any of the blade edges! With a dough hook, cream wisker ect it ticked all the boxes and also included a spice grinder for spices or coffee beans>powder.
MISSING from the package is a fruit juicer for lemons/oranges, but to be fair it was missing from most the the ones beside the top of the line KENWOOD at $500 for the multipro. But they are cheap to buy a dedicated one or like me you will just have the old glass one you scored for 50C from a thrift shop...
Plastics are BPA free and plastic and made well. They should easily survive daily use but are not the heavy grade kind some of the more expensive ones offered, nor is glass. But the Breville BP450 at $200 (think its being discontinued, i could get for $169 the same as the Brevvile handheld stick for the same price and was tempted). It lacked only the sprice grinder and was much heavier plastics and a glass vitimizer, which i would hate to drop. Tough call as it was the nearest in price and was a much better unit for build quality and i think would have been just as happy, but a little poorer. Both were about the 750/800 watt direct drive (the much more powerful brushless motors that run cooler, are more powerful and have a long working life over the old traditional brushed models of the past) which means it does ice into snow with ease. 2 year warranty quality is on par with units x3 the price, but not metal/glass
Below average – Like most you I thought philips cannot go wrong! But I was quite dumb to think that way! I purchased this food processor from target and not happy at all. It doesn't process anything well, including pesto, any dips etc etc. I paid quite a bit and am just stuck with this bad appliance because I have no choice. Wouldn't recommend this product. I wish I could exchange it to something else ! The design Expensive and poor results.
Good machine for a great price – I've had this for about 6 months. Mainly use it to chop onions and vegies. Have also used it to chop prawns & mince to make wonton mixture. Also the blender is good for smoothies. I also use the whisk attachment to whisk fresh cream for icing, quick and simple to use. I haven't really used the other attachments but they are easy to remove and… Read more
wash. Simple and easy to use, machine holds firlmly to the bench, excellent price Would be nice to have built in storage for the attachments
Excellent product – Does what it says it does. Have used the food processor and blender components, the grinder component didn't seem to work very well, but will try again. It is possible that I do have trouble following directions. Thought it had a kneading attachment but not sure that it does. Great value for the price Use it four times a week. Great Machine for various cuisines – Have been using it for months but it never disappoint me, at least so far. Great for making mince, patties, mixing, juice, cream soup, etc. I specially like to use it to prepare meat patties, smoothies and soups like creamy pumpkin soup. It makes me creative in kitchen and my family like my new ideas for dinner. I would highly recommend this… Read more
machine to busy mums who wish to prepare meals for family in an innovative manner. Compact, efficient, save me a lot of time, reasonable price and a reliable brand for appliances. Distance between end of pusher and cutter edge is bit wide, I have to cut the end bits by hand. But it doesn't really bother me as there must that bits to cut.
Great machine very happy – I am happy with the machine, it is only new, but worried that the lid has cracked already and has not been overworked.. How difficult is it going to be to get a replacement..and it is only early days yet... I found the philips web sight difficult to find replacement parts. The blender lid is cracking from the centre button... I feel there is… Read more · 2
a lot of pressure on the unit when using the cheese grater..and now I am having difficulty trying to organise to buy a replacement ,, its possibly still under warranty..
