This product was good – My husband bought this product as gift couple years ago and it works perfectly until last year, the battery had been dead and could not use it any more but it was a good product, good quality. Show details
Managed to remove most unwanted hair permanently – I've had mine for about 5 years, it only just ran out of flashes as I was told that it only had some 50000 flashes, which was probably about what I got. I could probably have done with another year for those random hairs that pop up but I can shave them easily. The machine continues to charge though and I probably went many months without using it or charging it. I was very happy with it. Show reply
So disappointed – Great machine, worked brilliantly but the same issue as everyone else - battery would not charge. Breville (Customer "care", Australian distributor of the machine) could not have been less helpful "We'll be sure to pass your thoughts onto Phillips". Worked out it cost about $170 per use.

Battery is terrible – The goods news is that it works for hair removal although even with very fair skin and dark hair it can take a while. However after buying the machine and with regular use the battery stopped working out if the blue. I took it into the Shaved shop with full receipts and they swapped it over as it was less than 12 months old. But this second… Read more
machine now has the same problem. Whilst it's 2 years old I did expect that for the cost it would last a while. The Shaver Shop told me not to bother contacting anyone as it had already been swapped once before - disappointing now that I see so many people with similar issues.

Battery dead – Great while it worked then battery dead after 2 years, waste of $600aud, same money gets you professional service and faster results, will never recommend Phillips to anyone, there is probably a reason why you don't see the brand popular in any electronics outlets

Zero Stars. Do Not Purchase – Sadly the other reviews are not exaggerated in regards to poor service, poor workmanship and poor battery. Even if you do read in the tiny print in the massive manual to charge it every 4 months (who remembers to do that) the battery will still go and fail to charge. I am disappointed that a big brand continues to make such a product. I bought… Read more
mine on special 599.95 and definitely did not get my moneys worth. Customer service was especially poor on the customer support phone line I saw from other people reviews (just lots of ums). Not even an offer of service or discount on purchasing a replacement. Do something about this Phillips!

not worth of money very misleading manual – Bad customer service. They tried to gave different contact number. I wasted my $ 899.00 AUD for not even see the results of this unit Lumea precision. Very misleading manual, They cant replace or do anything about the battery like other complaints my unit is not charging after a few weeks of not using it ... never I will buy any philips products.

Very disappointed - battery dead 2.5 years after purchase – I am so disappointed that Phillips would even bring out a product that would die just after the warranty period has ended. Please do no tell me to call the Phillips Service Centre, I have spoken to them already only to be told the same thing as everyone else, the product is basically non-repairable or would probably cost you more to get it… Read more
repaired than what you paid for it. To spend $800 on something that I only managed to use a half a dozen times is ridiculous. Yes I did read in the manual that you have to charge it every 3-4 months (I understand just like a car battery if you don't turn your car on every few weeks the battery will die, however I know I can easily replace a car battery). What the manual should have mentioned is if you don't charge it every 3-4 months the battery will die and you basically cannot get it replaced. I pulled mine out of the drawer after not having used it for 6 months, and yes the battery is dead. Will never buy Phillips again!

I love my IPL just want it to work – I simply love my IPL and really want a solution. It seems like it is common problem after reading the reviews. 2 years in and it doesn't charge or turn on. Please help me get this going.

Worked... And then it didn't, just past 2 year warranty, just like everybody else, at least Philips – Paid an exorbitant amount (from memory about $790) for this from Shaver Shop for this unit. It worked reasonably well (ideal skin and hair colour) for a time then winter came and the wife didn't need to use it for a while. Then came spring and she pulled it out of the drawer but to no avail. It didn't turn on and despite leaving it to charge for… Read more
24+ hours, it had died. Alas, I've been through our folders of receipts an manuals, I have the manuals but the receipt is nowhere to be found. I do however have a receipt for a trimmer I bought from Shaver Shop (which is still chugging away reliably - not made by Philips) that I bought just before this which would date this Lumea to a little over 2 years, which, conveniently for Philips is just over the warranty period. So now we're stuck having spent $790 (or there abouts) on a laser that was used maybe 4 or 5 times over 2 and a bit years. Congratulations Philips on making a consistently bad product. If you can't tell, I'm absolutely mortified/furious.

stopped working after warranty expired – Hi there, I bought my Philips in end of march of 2013 and after I used it for 12 times I had no much need for it for one year. Now I wanted to use it and its not even starting, there are no lights and its not working at all. I am so frustrated, because it was an expensive product and I was expecting to use it for at least three sessions. It's a waste of money.

I love this - it works! – This product is brilliant. I have had trouble with excess hair on the legs since my teenage years. Shaving would work only for a sort time, while my epilator left me with ingrown hairs, reddened hair follicles and only a slight reduction in hair regrowth after 7 years. I was looking to finally find a permanent/almost permanent, solution. On… Read more · 1
this site, I read the reviews for this product, found the best price in the stores and bought one. I was wary of being too sure it would work, but......it works, it works! I now only have around 10-20% of my usual hair growth on my legs, after using this product only 6 times over 5 months!
Try this, try this, try this! It is worth the money and has changed my life in summer. Many thanks to whomever invented this.
It worked well until the warranty run out! twice!! – I bought this product to save on beauty salon fees. It was great - no pain, no fuss & reduction in hair growth. Unfortunately, 12 months into using it (used it small areas) it refused to recharge - I was given a replacement (with the original warranty) so when my second machine refused to recharge 12 months later - I was out of pocket as my 2… Read more
year warranty had expired!! There is no way the 'zap' allowance was used with either machine. I am now back at the beauty salon because its cheaper!

Love this ! – This is a brilliant hair removal option, no pain, and stops ingrown hairs. I cant recommend this enough, its even stopped the itchiness when the hair grows back to start with. love it . The only issue i found is it needs to be charged more often then i would like. Easy to use, no pain, actually works ! Sick of recharging it after 1.5 legs. Show reply
