This Machine Spoils My Mornings – Coffee is OK if you don't like it very strong. The milk frothing wand is a disaster. Apart from being too short and dripping whenever the machine is on, it does not produce enough steam. Even after heating up for 15 minutes, the steam comes out with drops of water in it. This causes a vibration in the milk which bursts the milk bubbles. You end up with watery milk with a layer of foam on top that collapses after a few minutes. Such a pity as it is a really compact, neat little machine.

Good for a run! – I didn't expect too much for the price, however, the brand is the one I like. It didn't disappoint me at all, I can smell fresh coffee every morning, though it's just a small "shot", since I have a separate milk frother, it seems no problem to me at all. It heats up quickly, the water tank is big enough for a week(one or two shot each morning),easy to clean, quiet small mug is not fit, milk frother design is too close, for the beginning use it leaks.
Little Brother measure up – We have a Saeco Incanto Deluxe fully automatic machine. We live rurally so it can take a week to get a part when ours needs a fix. Rather than go without coffee when waiting for parts we bought a compact manual Saeco machine for emergencies - having been so happy with the big Saeco we thought we'd stay with a brand we know. Wow! What a difference! This machine is so compact I can't get more than one cup under the filter handle although it is meant for 2 - they must use really tiny cups in Italy - and mugs are just no go at all. The steam wand cannot be moved around and it is so low I have to put the machine up on a brick to get the milk jug under it. Then it is so close to the side of the machine that half the froth spills out trying to get the jug out. It will have to be a dire emergency for me to get that one out of its box again. If they'd just put another 10cm between the base and the top all these issues would be solved. Water is placed in a tank rather than directly into the kettle so there is no risk of fracturing the kettle by putting more water in while it is still hot. It hold enough water to make at least 4 cups of cappuccino. There are double and single filters and it has an adaptor to accept pods. Quick to heat up. For a manual compact it makes a drinkable cup Too compact - can't get a mug under it. Steam wand too rigid and can't get a jug under it. It makes a lot of mess and is very fiddly to clean.
"I have to put the machine up on a brick to get the milk jug under it. Then it is so close to the side of the machine that half the froth spills out trying to get the jug". Your technique is the problem, not the machine - you have to start with the tip of the wand in the milk, open up the steam gently, and carefully 'stretch' the milk - not blow the milk up!
I guess you didn't read me properly Kj67 - the jug is taller than the space between the tip of the wand and the benchtop. The smallest jug available stands 15cm, the tip is 12cm off the benchtop.
Put the coffee in a little espresso cup first then pour it in a mug with your milk, its an espresso maker, not an instant coffee maker
