Stay away from them – I have had absolutely awful experience with PJ pool. Very Unprofessional and unresponsive. It took them 10 month to do the initial stage of my pool build which they had promised to take only 2 weeks. Nick and Brad were completely unprofessional. They left my site full of mess and even did not take away the spoil they excavated from my land. I… Read more

made tens of phone calls, their staff take messages, but the builder never attends to the messages. I lost significant money with the delays they caused to my project, as I could not build my house while the site was occupied by them for 10 months. I wish I had not been fooled by Nick.

John Doe might be a happy customer (see pic), but unhappy customers are real and their reviews are everywhere – Seriously, think long and hard about signing on with PJ Pools. And despite the best efforts of the salespeople to tell you that the bad feedback you see online is a result of a few bad apples or overbearing customers, I can assure from experience that the problems start with the guy who runs the business. And if you are going to sign on, make sure… Read more

your contract has penalty $ clauses if PJ run over time... its no coincidence to me that our contract template (from SPASA VIC now the Master Pool Builders Association) didn't have that. Why, because people like [Name Removed] are on the Board. I called the MPBA in frustration seeking help and despite assurances their CEO would call me back, he didn't... clearly knows on which side his bread is buttered. Anyway, PJ's service is terrible service, up there with the worst phone company, only you're spending a whole lot more with PJ's. The office is disorganised and it seems like they can't action anything unless the owner, [Name Removed], approves. I even had one of their former staff text me during the works to say if you can't talk to [Name Removed] you'll just get the run around. So I thought things were looking up when [Name Removed] came to my site in January 22 and told me he'd be seeing our job through to completion. But dealing with the head honcho (not sure I really ever got the chance to do that anyway) was as painful as it comes. Through gritted teeth, countless emails and phone calls (where I'd have to repeat myself over and over), trying any and every phone number I had for them, we got the pool to be useable but not full handover on 23 December. And now that there's only $200 worth of work left (and a final proper handover), I'm back to being completely ignored again. I should say there are some good people at PJ's (people like [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] who came to site and worked hard to make the experience as best they could), but starting at the top there are serious serious issues. I doubt PJ's will respond (they probably don't even read these anymore), but if they do they might try and get some mileage from a leak my landscaper caused, so I better be transparent and cop that. But if PJ's didn't try and save a few bucks on the first inspection and would have more thoroughly assessed the pool they would have also found the leaking light assembly and the pinhole leak next to a pipe which were completely their fault and we both could have avoided far less pain and delay My only hope is that I don't need to chase up any maintenance issues under warranty because I'd need some counselling if I had to go through this again.

Very disappointing and they don’t stand behind their warranty. Issues with pool quartz coming away – It was easy to maintain before the quartz starting coming off after 6 years Show details

Do not use this company – Completely unprofessional, slow to build but quick to bill (took over a year to complete). Constantly had to follow up to progress to the next stage.

Do not use this company!!! – I would strongly advise in staying away from PJ Pools & Spas. Sales team are quick to sign you up and promise the world. Then the admin team are quick to invoice you for early works such as engineering and soil test etc but when it comes to starting the pool and construction you are left with no communication regardless on the number of calls and… Read more

emails you send.

Peter does not return calls nor emails and we are now left hanging when we could have gone elsewhere. Really wish we did now. Strongly recommend not dealing with PJ Pools.

After sales service non-existent – We love our PJ Pool and Spa, despite having an installation issue back in 2016 (pump not properly connected and pool water ran out). We started seeing rust marks about 3 years ago, which suggests a concrete lining issue) and our lights don't work properly. Despite regular follow ups for them to inspect the problem (and we understand Covid may have… Read more

caused complexity) we have not had any response at all from PJ Pools. We're more concerned that this will create issues when we sell our property in the future. This has led us to complain to Consumer Affairs in the hope that PJ Pools will honour their warranty and repair the problem., as legally required. We're planning to build another house and pool in the future, but after this experience, we won't be using PJ Pools again.

Don’t use PJ Pools – PJ’s work was ok but tile grout didn’t last too long. Importantly if anything needs rectification you basically need to threaten legal action to get them to show up. I’d look elsewhere Show details

Avoid This Company!!! – We are devastated to have had an extremely bad experience with Peter and the PJ Pools team. We signed a pre-works contract with Peter to receive new pool documentation including engineering and soil tests. Since making payment Peter has ghosted us - numerous calls, emails and text messages go unanswered. We are now into the 4th month and have… Read more

not received our required documentation. The promised date for our pool build commencing has come and gone - with nothing to show. We have now sadly accepted that we made a terrible mistake engaging the PJ Pools team and have given up any hope of receiving return communication from Peter. We have lost the money paid, and have had to begin the entire process again with another company. We have lodged a case with the Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria, with the hope this company will at some point be brought to justice. But would like to warn other potential customers to avoid this company at all costs. We can only now wish someone had given us this advice!

Great pool great company – We use our pool as often as we can but not as much as we would like lol and with this covid safe summer I think that’s all we will do this summer. The pool equipment seems to be working fine :) Show details

Great pool and equipment – I’ve been using our pool most weekends and as often as possible. The pool is very easy to maintain and my cleaner that was supplied keeps the pool spotless and sparkling clean.  Show details

Avoid them! – OK at first, the construction of the pool went fairly smoothly despite them forgetting to include a ledge seat ,which was add on later. The construction Forman was never on site to supervise trades, the hand over of the pool was almost non existent and later on when we had a problem with coping tiles coming loose they were a nightmare to deal… Read more

Avoid ! – Would strongly recommend avoiding the engagement of pj pools for the construction of your pool for the following reasons: Planning - Poor. Inattention to soil classification and site details. Did not take into account client's concerns/request regarding construction in reactive soils. Management of sub contractors - Poor care to aesthetic… Read more

Communication - Poor communication with customer post commissioning of pool regarding evolving major structural pool faults.

Honouring of warranty - Poor. Declined to participate in the honouring of their responsibilities regarding product issues eg delaminating of quartz pool lining

Demonstrated a total lack of care towards their customer and are a poor reflection on the pool and spa industry.
