Always Breaks – The idea is good but the structure is rubbish the long handle wont stay retracted rendering useless. I wont buy this item again which is a shame as it's handy. Show details

The latest refill is half the density of the original – Inflation by stealth. The latest batch of refills are half the density of the previous batch. Current batch No: 20191018101 Will not buy this product again nor will I purchase any product from Pledge due to the obvious theft by stealth. Show details

Discontinued but still crappy stocks exist – Have had 2 previous models and they were great. Not robust but did the job well. The last one I recently purchased was a dud. Lighter plastic and the slots did not engage with the pop-up pins. If it's defective don't leave it in the shops until your stocks run out. Cynical marketing. Show details

A very disappointing product – This is useless and I'll be trying to get a refund. The previous model was my best friend. It extended enough for me to reach high places and the flexible head enabled me to dust tops of cupboards.

The latest one I bought doesn't seem to extend the handle – Have been using it for years, very handy although it does break if not handled carefully. But the latest one I just bought does not let me extend the handle fully, although i am pressing the button as hard as I can. It only extends to about ⅓ metre which is no use for higher shelves.

Designed to fail – This would be a great duster if the handle was not designed to fail. I will not buy again as they break after half a dozen uses. I dislike companies that lure you in with a product that they know has a high maintenance cost.

First time use! – I bought this product for the first time yesterday and have just used it all around the house. I'm 67 and don't know how I ever lived without it! The damp cloth has been banished as its so quick and easy to zip round the house, then do skirtings etc. Took no time at all. Also I'm in a new house with building all around me and it gets VERY dusty. Thank you Pledge!

Best little duster for allergens – Best little dusters for keeping allergens out. I tried going back to microfibres to save money but the allergens moved back in. It's quite an expense to my weekly shop though, so would be good if the handle showed value for money.

Excellent for "light" dusting – Great for dusting ornaments and fragile items. I use it on an ornate table lamp with bronze monkeys, bicycle and a timber slatted shade? Removes all dust perfectly. I gave it an excellent rating because there's nothing better that I'm aware of that does this fiddly job so well.

Good duster just a bit pricey – I've read the reviews and the people who are frustrated about it flopping around, you need to read the instructions. You need to click the head back to secure it into place. The duster is good and I use it a lot. If only the refill was a bit cheaper it would be better.

A good product that needs a few changes – Have been buying it for sometime and apart from the long handle breaking very soon after use was quiet happy with the product as it dusted quiet well .I have also noticed something is different about the duster that it is either smaller or thinner and also it keeps coming off the prongs when I dust .I'am sure that before there was some sticky… Read more

stuff on the back of the duster where you stuck the prongs in.

So now we not only reinforce the top of the handle we also have to put some sticky tap to keep the duster on.

I must admit I do really like the duster bit but for the price overall not a very good product.

I bet that it's the same old story they change manufacture to get a cheaper price but the quality changes

Grabit Duster by Johnson – Some fool has decided to stuff up a good product by making refills smaller. Very disappointed. looking for an alternative product.

So impressed! – I am so pleased with this little tool. I bought it mainly to get rid of those sticky cobwebs in the cornices of my house. It is sturdy and does the job. Bonus, I can dust and de-cobweb at the same time. It gets up all the cobwebs and dust even in the kitchen where i had quite a few cobwebs and they had become sticky from steam of cooking, they… Read more

wipe straight off and stay on the cloth instead of tumbling down onto my face. Would love to see a washable cloth for it, cheaper than continuously buying refills. Love that you can just pull of the dusting cloth and chuck it in the bin. Much easier than having to clean a feather duster by hand The handle could be a bit longer. Could be a bit cheaper in price.

Worst product – This product makes it look like you can actually dust with it. However, the head flops back and is completely useless. You could use it as a cloth but that is it. Called the consumer line on the pack but got some person's voicemail and no callback. Extremely disappointed as my mum can't reach down under things. Now need to run around returning it. It grabs dust Extremely frustrating and misleading packaging

Disappointed – Could not keep it from flopping about until my husband finally figured it out (yes I did read the directions). Even when locked it came undone several times. Bought it especially for my plantation shutters so was also disappointed with how short the fully extended handle was. Have thrown away my receipt so not sure how much I have spent but if it was really cheap and the refills are as well I might persist with it.

I am not a dust expert – ... but I actually was quite impressed with this little thing. It was cheap enough and once i figured how to clip it together to lock in place and extend the handle (see previous review who might have not) it seemed to do the job well. The dust stuck to the brush instead of flying around the room, perfect for my pantation shutters, eco blinds… Read more

and dado rails. It can with a spare refil which is great as I don't see myself washing the current one. Easy to store and good for a quick dust job. Inexpensive, efficient

What rubbish! – This version of Pledge Duster is rubbish. The handle is short and stumpy. The head of the duster isn't locked in place so it flops all over the place while you're trying to dust. Its downright annoying and an utter waste of money. I'd sooner grab the extended wand. Far more reliable. Though I'm so irritated with this purchase I'm not sure I want… Read more

to give any more money to the company for the one I prefer (my last Pledge extend broke after years of reliable service). Won't be buying this piece of [censored word removed] again.

Everything. Flops around. Can't reach anything more than an arms length away. Can't dust anything unless I want to use both hands - one on the handle, one holding the head of the duster in place - kinda ruins the 'ergonomics' eh?
