Pledge Duster Grab it Extended Handle – I have been using these dusters for years & love them. But, the extended one, keeps breaking in the same location of the handle. So the recent one we purchased, we have inserted wire & araldite glue as per picture to strengthen that area. Hope this helps.

X-tend handle is a good idea but it keeps folding up – I had an original Grab-It duster short handle for years but when it finally broke last month I decided to get an X-tend handle to make cleaning the ceiling fans, skirting boards etc easier. The telescopic part of the handle is fine and locks in place BUT the top part where the duster slides on that pivots won't stay in place. For example, if I… Read more

put it at an angle to clean the ceiling fan it keeps straightening, even with the lightest pressure. I tried using the side of the duster head and the same thing happens. If I use it in the straight position it clicks into a bent position. Before writing this review I read the others and see people had problems with the handle breaking and now this product is discontinued - even though I purchased mine at a supermarket a month ago. I stuck with this brand for years as I liked the duster heads, but I think it's time to find another duster.

Keeps breaking! – The design is great and very useful however it breaks constantly - the plastic is very cheap. This is not only annoying but also irresponsible for landfill. Can Pledge not make these stronger? Show details

Loved it but handle broke – Tried replacing handle today only to find a much shorter version only available. Very disappointed. Thought it was only me but on looking online I find others with similar problem of handle breaking. Disappointing as good product.

Yes the handles break far too easily – After submitting a review for the actual duster part I found this separate area for the 'X-tend' and noted someone else has had problems with the handle breaking. YES it breaks FAR TOO EASILY. The concept itself is great (extends and you can change the angle of the end where the duster is) but that is not good enough it they break so easily. I… Read more

had TWO of these and BOTH broke while folding them to store away within a day of each other. Either the 'elbow' which allows you to bend the end part is too stiff and/or the whole assembly needs strengthening.

Pity as apart from that it is a good product.

Common Johnson get this fixed!

Shame they can't find a better design for the handle to stop it snapping – The pledge duster is great, picks up most dust so is good for those quick dusts between damp dusting. The extend is great for hard to reach places up high, but also the fiddly bits in entertainment unit. However, I usually get 5 or 6 full house dusts with them before the handle snaps over the pivot. Even on opening a brand new one, you can see it… Read more

is a weak spot as the plastic is usually white instead of green. I have contacted the company in the past and told them I am happy to continue buying the dusters but as the handle don't last nearly as long as they should I would like some replacement extend handles sent to me. I also asked them to correct the problem for future purchases. Don't think they really listened to me as they sent me a replacement short handled Pledge Duster, which I don't find particularly useful. Picks up dust, very little ends up floating around in air. Good reach range. Handles break easily. Duster refills are a bit pricey, but constantly adding new handles to that is very expensive.

Brilliant, saves bending and easily reaches high spots in the house – Bad news is that the Pledge Duster Grab-It Xtend handle is flimsy and easily broken. Getting replacements is difficult as Coles in Western Australia no longer stock the product, neither does IGA and I am pretty sure Woolworths may not either. I managed to buy a couple of spares when I realised this but have since broken one and am not sure where I can buy another. Excellent duster Can't buy replacement handles
