Okay, I was a huge fan of polar. This was my fourth watch. And last! Sadly the M2 has a known fault with the bottom left button becoming stuck - non responsive. Means you can't use it. This watch lasted me 2 years 8 months. Not long enough for the purchase price. Polar customer care, sorry out of warranty (just). So you've lost a customer. I'd… Read more

suggest product review users look at a watch that is more robust and well built. I've now converted to garmin and won't go back. Much stronger build and more data options for same / cheaper price.

Will stop charging! – Generally good, but the battery dies after 300 charges. When I say die, it means die, just like the rest of the watch. Neither you nor Polar can replace the battery. 300 charges meant two and a half years to me. Now I have to scrap it and buy a new one. If you compare the prices per year, it's not cheap at all! Towards the end of its life, it was not uncommon for GPS to take over 20 minutes to connect. Show details

Excellent and well priced training tool – Been using Polar products for 20 years. They've never let me down unlike another more popular brand. My first M21 of 20+ years ago still works! The M200 I bought, looking for a decent but mid priced on the wrist hr workout watch. So far the GPS, though taking awhile to find satellites, maintains the connection through forests and heavy undergrowth… Read more

well. The reliability of the watch is the same high standard I expect from Polar. This has been a fabulous watch thus far (2 years). Polar Flow is just brilliant and I depend on the metrics and also the ability to do the running programs every year. It's the best "ecosystem" out there. I also own an expensive, new brand, ultra running watch, and I've tested the cheap Polar against it for running metrics, GPS, on board training pages etc. Very little difference in the final outcomes. Thoroughly satisfied with this little M200 and I wear it often when I don't feel the need to bring out my heavy weight watches.

Do not buy! – This is my second Polar product, they are garbage. My m400 was so bad I threw it away because the warranty they ask you how much you want to pay to fix it? Huh? So I get the m200, price points good and it's not a refurb like my m400. Flow is horrible I cant get it to go away and it's getting mixed up with my m400 data making it absolutely useless.… Read more

The gps is horrible the navigation on screen is horrible. I'm going to throw away the m200 as well beacause Polar is natorious for not giving you money back. Do not buy Polar products EVER

Wristband poorly designed. GPS slow – Agree with other reviewers re the watch band. It is of very poor quality and not fit for purpose -should be replaced free of charge. My watch has flopped out of the wrist band a number of times and just luckily has landed on grass and I managed to find it. The other disappointing aspect is the GPS- it can take 15 mins to kick in. Very… Read more

occasionally it only takes 30sec. Different locations don't seem to make any difference. What a time waster! Features are good but I conclude that quality is dubious.

Faulty GPS – I am on my second M200 - after less than a year (purchased March 2017) the watch first would not find a satellite so the GPS would not connect, then the battery gave up and the watch would not charge. After logging the fault online and posting it to Polar Australia for a warranty repair in December 2017, a new watch appeared in January 2018. No… Read more

explanation and annoyingly no offer of a refund or replacement. Now in August 2018 and the replacement will not find a satellite so again, the GPS will not connect. Similar to the other reviewer, I agree the watch band stretches and the watch becomes lose and liable to popping out. Overall, disappointing.

Good watch but band gets so loose may lose watch – I bought a Polar M200 in early 2017 and it has some great functions for the price e.g. waterproof, heart rate monitor, GPS, sleep and activity monitoring which you manage via the excellent Polar Flow app. For these aspects, I'd give it 5 stars. However, it has a major flaw in that you have to remove the watch from the band to charge it, and… Read more

after doing that dozens of times, the band around the watch face gets loose from being stretched each time.

I have lost the watch in the pool three times now (but lucky to find it each time) because the watch has slipped out. I am on my second watch band - $30 to replace. I wrote to Polar who provided excellent fast response and they're sending me another band for free.

If you only use the watch very occasionally the band issue might not be a problem. But as a regular long term watch - this is not the watch.
