Appalling to say the least – We spent 35K to get our concrete pool built on the Sunshine Coast. All was going well... $800 worth of water leak into god knows where. Owner Gary arranged for a leak expert to come out... No show, so I phone the Warana office to advise they have not turned up. 10 mins later I had a call from the owner claiming it was the leak company fault and will arrange someone to attend to find the leak. When I raised my concern about the money lost to fill the pool and that I believe as good will gesture they should be paying to have the water truck return to fill up the pool. The owner who is an arrogant and very rude person told me "Well I can ensure you that I will not be paying 800 bucks". I reminded him that under consumer law... states "no consumer should be out of pocket a significant amount of money". He simply ignored me and told me he will be filling the pool up out of my tap and will compensate me $170 which apparently that is all it costs to fill a 50,000 litre pool... I do beg to differ. We are still arguing over this which will result in QCAT proceedings. I was warned about this company and was also told do not pay the last invoice until everything is handed over.... How stupid of me, thought I'd do the right thing and give this company the benefit of the doubt. Should of trusted the rumors and the reviews from the start!!! I may even result to notifying QBCC. So long story short, off to court we go!! Everyone please DO NOT get your pool built with this man.

Absolutely thrilled with my new pool by Pools by Design on the Sunshine Coast – I am a first pool owner. I had no idea what I wanted and a few quotes proved that. From sales to handover I was confident and extremely happy with the build, communication, hand over and follow up service. Horrific experience – We had to engage the QBCC to get pools by design to complete our pool. Worse still was their affiliated landscapers, Moonah Landscapes, who left us with crumbling retaining walls, puddles in our paving and damage to our house. Incompetence personified!

Great from start to finish – Building our pool was easy right from the design phase with Clinton through construction with Daz and handover with Darren. We are very happy with the result and would recommend

Non-existent After Sales Service – Whilst not criticising the product, the after sales service from this company is disgusting. Emails and phone calls regarding warranty and problems are a waste of time as they are totally ignored. If this company put the same effort into their after market service as their demands for progressive construction payments, they would lead the field.
