PrepaidSims New Zealand 10GB
1 review
In March 2025, before going on a self-driving tour in New Zealand, I bought two prepaid NZ 10G sim cards (one for my wife). When I arrived in NZ, I activated the two sim cards and immediately called my wife to make sure that the two sim cards were working. Three days later, I found that both sim cards could not access the Internet. I called the sim card provider (the local telecommunications company is called 2Degree) to ask what went wrong. The answer I got was that the data on my two sim cards had been used up. I told the lady who answered my question that I basically did not use the data on the sim cards. The campvan I rented was equipped with a navigation device, and my phone came with offline Google Maps, so I did not need to connect to the Internet for navigation. I arrived at the campsite, and the campsite provided free wifi. Moreover, I had no time or opportunity to use wifi in the first three days. At this time, a strange answer came. The lady said that the sim card is in your phone, and the data is also in your phone. How can I know how 20G of data ran away? You can either top up some money or upgrade to another plan. This was a really disgusting experience. I would advise not to buy this kind of rubbish sim card, it will let you down at the critical moment.
