I used to love Princess Cruise but their Sydney office treats you with contempt. Promise you the world but don't perform. You can forget about talking to a manager because they will resist at all cost. They have just lost a very loyal customer. Show details

Antarctica on the Sapphire – Excellent experience, staff were amazing, no complaints. A huge variety of activities and shows. Food, no one could complain about the food, restaurants and Cafe. Actually the Cafe, brilliant. Would definitely sale on the Sapphire again. Good size, not a massive amount of travellers. Only extra was if we purchased in the shops and the packages.

Princess Cancelled my shore excursion with no explanation or notification – I've booked a Princess land and cruise tour to Alaska in early September as a retirement gift for my brother. We're very excited about this trip and booked our shore excursions in April to ensure we get to do everything on our bucket list. When I went into my account yesterday to check a couple of dinner reservations, I learned that my shore… Read more

excursion in Skagway has unexpectedly, and without explanation, been cancelled. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with Princess to find out why and the only explanation I could get was that the vendor cancelled my reservation because of a time conflict. That's very interesting since my brother is booked on the same tour at the same time and his reservation has not been cancelled. There is no time conflict since we arrive in port at 5:45 AM and the trip starts at 7:30. The Princess representative suggested my travel agent should contact them to see if she can get a better explanation. She has spent over 3 hours on the phone with them today and has gotten the same run around--no valid explanation. The only thing they will tell her is that they issued me a refund on June 3. I am now on a waitlist for the exact same trip. If it was a time conflict, why would they put me on a wait list? Something is very screwy and I am not at all happy with Princess. This is my first trip with them and will definitely be my last. My guess is that a large party needed another ticket and they thought it would be easy to cancel a single female. What they don't know is that this single female can be very vocal! If you’re on the Sept. 7th sailing out of Whittier to Vancouver, you may see me picketing Princess Cruise Lines at the dock and in the lobby. Stop by and say hello!

Terrible – Horrible service. I need to include the correspondence history and write it out as it is a lot over multiple days but it is truely damning both in terms of their incompetence and lack of accountability and service.

Karma has hit this cruise line after cheating us out of $3500, they were hit by COVID – They did not let my wife board in Singapore because she was a few days short of 6 months on a Filipino passsport would not refund any of the fare. Terrible company to deal with. But they have lost more then what they cheated out of us so glad to see them pay the price can only hope they go broke. Show details

Pending trip with coronavirus in Singapore – I am totally gobsmacked that Princess Cruises will not allow a full refund for passengers leaving Singapore on 23/2/2020 considering Singapore is the next country outside China with the most cases with Coronavirus. It would be great Customer Relations if the cruise company gave us a credit on another cruise rather than forfeiting our monies as we… Read more

all have lives to come back to, rather than risk another cruise ship in quarantine. My husband and I have many years of retirement to look forward to and cruising was to be a big part of our holidays with Princess however based on their uncaring policy, we will be using other cruise liners such as Cunard who are being responsible and diverting their ships away from Singapore.

CONCERNED – Paid a deposit for cruise next year and received a final notice of the payment date with the wrong amount of deposit paid in their favour. Have emailed them a copy of the receipt showing what I have paid a few days ago and still waiting for them to adjust with the correct amount.

Cruise Experience

Lovely cruise , Food very poor – My husband and I traveled on Sapphire Princes on the 27th July 2019 to 10 August , leaving from Southampton to Portimao , Cadiz, Sete , Ajaccio , Malaga , Ceuta, Lisban and Back to Southampton. Fantastic trip best ever, great staff and fabulous shows. BUT the food was extremely disappointing, sent the dishes when fine dining back several times,… Read more

like all the other quests we spoke too. Food is part of your holiday, we have been on other Princes cruises and food fantastic. We are now booking another cruise but not with Princes again,London to Sydney, we will either go Cunard or Celebrity, pay a little more and have real fine dining with great food.

No Loyalty, booking process – Explained we have sailed 4 times previously, got 8 cabins booked for this cruise, my cabin mate had an accident broken sternum, asked for a possible reduced rate on a 9th cabin, even if not sold prior sailing, NO, the tone offensive, dismissive, understand its a business but some loyalty would be nice.

Captain chaos was in charge – Recently did a 14 day cruise from Hong Kong to Singapore . The ports were great but a few issues re logistics etc were encountered . I blame the staff captain and captain aka captain chaos for the hiccups . I was on diamond princes in May and it was perfect . The captain blamed the changeover from the Chinese season but his excuses should not be… Read more

valid it was his management that caused the problems ,felt sorry for the coal face staff . Food was good and ports very good . An enjoyable cruise but this ship needs logistics training .

was ok – Went on the Beijing to Singapore cruise April from Beijing .Got balcony cabin for about $1900 AUD last minute deal so was good value for long cruise like that. Was ideal for restful time as older set ,not many youngies or kids if that is your thing. Early morning very quiet poolside and gym .Food all meals everywhere was very good.As usual on… Read more

cruises tours and alcohol prices exorbitant .Overall the cruise very enjoyable and good value for holiday dollar. As usual you pay to learn as I found that if you wanted instead of paying out for tours ,what nobody told me that alternative shuttle buses to places operated at quay side.Very good example was the port in Thailand where instead of paying quite a price to travel 2 hours to BKK you could travel to pattaya in 30 minutes for$8 each way ,which I did and forfeited the pre booking amount I paid instead.Speaking off tours I would never pre book tours would take a chance and see what I could arrange on arrival ,especially Beijing tours to the great wall tour.Lastly the mis information passengers received on board was quite bad ,I relied on the cabin steward for factual info regarding arrival times in ports etc.But I would travel on this ship again as I heard it was going for a refit soon .Forgot to mention when happy hour is on you can buy one drink and pay $1 for same drink ,but this is not restricted to just happy hour in the bar you can buy a few bottles and pay $1 for same each and take them away ,also applies to bottles of wine too beats their drink package hands down (was a bit of secret not divulged by other staff in no happy hour bars pushing the package )Iheard about word of mouth on day 4 or 5

percent refund paid! Excuse: company policy!

Beware the princes pirates, none of these extra charges were shown before departure!

Princess, not "come back new" should be "come back fleeced".

we will sail again – We have just returned from our cruise 28/1to 10/2/2015 Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam "Grand Adventure ". Our two night stay at the Swissotel Singapore was nice. Boarding the Sapphire Princess there was an unexpected surprise because we had booked a Mini Suite and where upgraded to a larger suite c104 . My wife is a platinum - , and I am a elite… Read more

Captains Circle member . we were treated to luxuries we had never before so for that we like to thank you .

Our tours wereprebooked and we enjoyed them too.

Now here is our problem : we bought one litre of spirits each at 10 percent discount sale . We thought it to be odd that we where given the liquor just over the the counter - not like the usual procedure- on the end of the journey in duty free packaging .

At least we should have been made aware of the fact that when finally arriving in Singapore again we would have to be paying duty of $ 76.00 ! Ok we may have made the mistake of having our purchase in our hand luggage in fear that the bottles may break in our suit cases . So disembarking from the ship and going through Singapore customs we where held back and I was treated like a criminal in the customs office . I was quite intimidated with officers standing all around me , soI paid the $76.00 to just get out of there because I have a heart condition .

We waited until 11.50 pm for our flight to depart to Melbourne and then going to board the plane , customs officers took the liquor off us regardless of having paid duty for it showing the receipt of the charge . With that the officer took the bottles and deposited them gently in the bin .

So we would like at least have an explanation for why the liquor was handed overto us in this unconventional way ? We are retirees and on our part we thought it is ok to have one litre of spirits each to bring home . At the same token we could have consumed some of it in our lovely suite ( not permitted ) . It would be nice to know if the employee followed correct procedure and it is ok that he knew that we have to hand our purchase at customs anyway .

Wouldn't it be nice to know staff is probably traind ?

But beside the cost over $ 110.00 dollars for the 2 litres we had a good time and know not to be to trusting .
