Absolutely rubbish. Unsafe Not Fit for Purpose. DANGEROUS our warranty started Nov 2022 once it was installed. Purchased in May 2022 and took over 8wks to receive it. Kitchen remodel was completed in Nov 2022 and the electrician wired and installed the breaker and hooked up the oven. The first oven wouldn't heat up above 100 on fan forced after… Read more

multiple repair people and attempts to fix it, including while guests were visiting at Christmas. The 1st repairman borrowed my husband's bench grinder to "fix" the thermostat, that according to him is a real problem for this oven?!? After replacing the thermostat multiple times they gave up and replaced the whole oven at their suggestion. I thought wow great customer service. THEN THINGS REALLY GOT BAD New oven installed in June 2023, yes it took that long. First time trying to cook a roast it threw the breaker as soon as it got warm and the lights on the oven didn't work. Andico seller of Falcon made me spend money to have an electrician out. Done not problems, proper breaker size and excellent wiring-both had just been installed in Nov 2022 during the remodel. Still throwing the breaker, electrician isn't a warranty repair person but tested the oven and it was showing a short. Repair again-hurry up and wait. Opened the top of the oven and the wires for the oven lights had never been connected and were shorting out on the oven frame. OK, dumb but mistakes happen. Cleaned the oven on self clean about 3 month later, threw the breaker and the oven was so hot my stainless steel countertops were radiating heat. Freaked out as it was a Sunday and I thought my house was going to burn down. I left urgent voice messages about how hot it was and how scared I was my kitchen was going to catch fire. At 10 am I still hadn't heard from andico so I called them. Oh well the kitchen didn't burn down so we will see when we can get someone out there. Que multiple repairs trying to fix the oven and I mean multiple. I have photos of the temp of the external oven an hour and a half after it shut off again, during self cleaning and after the repair and replacement of the thermostat and I burned my wrist on the countertop next to the oven. The two reasons I bought this oven were self-cleaning as I am old and cool touch external because I have grandchildren that love to help in the kitchen. Finally after months and months of problems there was a service order?!? because they had installed a sensor that was supposed to keep the oven from overheating during use in the wrong place. So guess what-the sensor couldn't work. I watched a repair man drill through the top of my very very expensive oven to "move the sensor to the correct position". So it took over 7 months to figure that out??? Then I wanted proof the wiring hadn't suffered from all the overheating-another and some replacements. Then the wok burner wouldn't stay lit, then another burner wouldn't stay lit. More repairs. Then the thermostat was 15-18c out-que another repair. Incorrect oven temperature means the possibility of unsafe food. I've had cheap ovens that were never more than 5c out, Andico says 10c is acceptable. "Just buy a thermostat and put it in your oven" Really just buy a thermostat and put it in your oven because your new oven doesn't work properly-under a 5 year warranty. Because the oven still leaks heat the knobs get hot and can burn you. UNSAFE again. So hot that I am supposed to be getting the 4th set soon, of course there is no mail tracking or information when they are coming. I get to guess what the oven temp is as the temp one just spins around. Just cheap plastic with a piece superglued on the front. This oven should have been recalled. If anyone else is going through this, and they must be, please report it to the ACCC for a possible recall. The sensor being installed in the wrong place??? Somehow I really doubt I am the only Falcon Professional oven that had that happen. So much for inspections at manufacturing. I am waiting on them to figure out how to quit overheating the outside of my oven, again. Hopefully before my grandchildren come at Christmas, but since I filed this back in early Oct and ...... well nothing again. I am not holding out any hope. I have kept the email communications but they don't like putting things in writing, so ... DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE READY FOR A LIFE OF MISERY The pictures are of the oven well over an hour after shutting down 65 will definitely burn anyone but children's skin is more sensitive. The picture of the oven shows all the knobs in the off position and the rings just floating and one the silver piece for turning it around just won't stay on (zoom in). Sorry I can't clean the broken knobs as they just spin.

Purchased a Falcon professional +FXP oven several years ago aiming for a quality oven /splurge for a household of 2. The oven and cook top can literally go months without use. The cooking trivets do not sit flat so frypans rock back and forth and cooking in uneven. The oven door slams when closing and the whole oven shudders. The oven rack sliders… Read more

are not telescopic and stick when trying to slide them in and out. The oven door handle is loose, even with such little use. The pyrolytic lock has failed for a second time.....we have only run the pyrolytic cycle twice and now it won't function and the locking mechanism is causing an issue with the door seal. The most expensive worst product I have invested in and would recommend avoiding at all costs

Dream machine – We purchased this oven for our new House, both being chefs there was no room for quality sacrifice when it come to the kitchen. This Oven is an absolute cracker, solid build with close attention to detail and quality assurance. We did have a mix up with parts but Andico were more than accommodating and got it fixed up within a week. The energy… Read more

divider makes a massive difference and so easy to remove set for a massive cook, we bought with the Falcon range hood combo which is also quality second to none with complete stainless filters making easy to clean. 12 months in from install and it's fallen nothing short than a pleasure to use. You won't find anything close to the quality of falcon in Australia

Problems with Self Clean Function - and now a hole on the base of my oven! – Update Nov 2022: Since writing the review below, I have discovered another problem with the oven. It now has a hole, a bit larger than a pin head, on its base. I have contacted Andico to see whether anything can be done, and my request for help has been ignored. I know the stove is 9 years old but really, a hole?? Given how much I paid, I… Read more

expected the oven to be better quality.

Original Review: I purchased this stove in 2013. Generally speaking, I have been very happy with it. Except for the oven self clean function. The last couple of years, the self clean function has been unreliable. Sometimes I can get it to work by continuously pressing the 'cook' button. Other times I have had no option but to get a service. Considering how much extra pyrolytic ovens cost compared to standard ovens, I think it is unacceptable this feature no longer works. If having a self clean function in your oven is important to you (as it is to me), you may be better off getting a different brand. The disappointing self clean function aside, my other comments are (1) the wok burner is excellent. It has a lot of power and I have been able to make restaurant quality stir fries with it. (2) the energy saving panel is quite fiddly and I found the resulting smaller oven to be too small to be practical. I have used the energy saving panel once in the last 9 years.

Great oven – We have falcon xp oven we got in 2017. we have found it to be reliable and great to cook with. The pyrolitic cleaner works well cleaning the oven but after taking the Glass off the oven door to clean in between the glasses per instruction book we have a pronlem with one of the screws. It doesn't tighten fully so that side of the door casing has some play in it.  Show details ·  1

Expensive stove has failings – Several design failings that customers will have to live with: Hobs are badly designed and allow small, even medium size saucepans to fall over Oven racks grind noisily over rails on the walls when being removed or replaced Top rail which is used for rack when grilling is too low, and there are no adjusting components Ps. Cooking class that customers are invited to was excellent Wife says oven is very good Show details

Very solid stove; perfect for a person who doesn't like to replace things – I bought the Falcon Professional FX because I wanted an enameled top and I didn't want multiple small ovens that would be hard to clean. I cook a lot and overall I have been very happy with this stove; it feels very solid, the oven is large, the stove cooks well, and it is not too difficult to clean. However, there have been a few glitches. … Read more ·  1

Firstly, the divider won't go in; it appears to be too tight. Secondly, I have streaks of something inside my oven door and no idea how to clean them. Lastly, I am still not sure how to take advantage of all of the different oven settings. Still, I'm happy I bought the Falcon.

Good oven but interested to learn about markup – Whilst we love our Falcon (Rangemaster) oven, it’s a bit shocking to learn how it was more than double the price at AUD$8000 over the GBP 1740 price we would have paid in the UK. Why is this? Shipping does not cost THAT much! Show details ·  1

Can’t use brand new oven – We purchased a Falcon Professional FXP in early March. After waiting over 2 weeks for delivery, we were excited to finally use it. 2 days after it was installed the stove igniter would not stop. It ticks constantly and we have had to turn it off at the wall. Andico sent a technician but now we’re waiting on parts (10 days since it malfunctioned).… Read more

Finally I’ve found my dream oven – Recently purchased the Falcon Professional FX freestanding 900 oven in black. is the most complimented component of our substantial kitchen renovation but most importantly performs even better than it looks. The 114 litre oven heats quickly and cooks evenly including baked pastas and pastries. Roast spuds sizzle and crisp in no time at all and four home made pizzas cook evenly, all completed at the same time fit for a family feast. The oven fan grill is great for browning of cheese topped meals and crackling roast pork. I haven’t used the divider to cut the oven in half but given its overall performance I anticipate this will be equally impressive. The safety feature for the gas hotplates has already proven its value when a knob was inadvertently turned whilst cleaning after use. The hot plate set up is very practical, allowing ample space for frypan and saucepans used simultaneously. After use the cooktop is easily cleaned with minimal effort, bringing it back to its impressive appearance. The oven is easily wiped clean as we cook our roasts in an outside cooker. The pyrolytic function is probably worth considering which costs around $1,000.00. Opportunities for improvement:

1. The wide oven trays require a bit of jiggling to slide in and out 2. There is some leaking from use of the oven into the bottom storage tray

Overall very pleased with our choice - best oven/cooktop we’ve ever had

Excellent. Very happy – I love my falcon stove. Use everyday. Easy to use. Well worth spending extra money. Quality product. Large oven cavity can cook on large commercial oven trays therefore saving time when making biscuits etc. Great wok and BBQ grill an option. Can convert to to smaller oven cavities Easy to clean. Love self cleaning function option. Wouldn't exchange it for anything.  Show details ·  1

Absolute rubbish at a premium price – The screws in the oven door keep falling out. The knobs are made from cheap plastic and tinfoil and fall apart. Now the burner won't light. I am going to buy another product that actually works. Any repairs or replacement parts on this stove are ridiculously expensive. The worst stove I have ever owned. Show details

Good with the bad – I purchased this oven during my kitchen renovation. I’ve had it in and working for 9 months now. I had a few little niggles that were fixed perfectly. the food closer to the heating element and still takes a while. Doesn’t really effect me too much as I use it rarely. The self cleaning is magical, comes up like new again. Worth the money over the lifetime of the oven when you think of hours and $ paid for chemical scrubbing a normal oven. The only thing I’m not too happy with is I’ve only ever cleaned the top of the hot plates with warm soapy water or Koh which is a natural cleaning product and the black finish on the top of the stove has started to come off. I would have hoped the black finish would last longer than 9 months.

Love the oven – I was so excited when I bought this oven/cooktop and couldn't wait for it to be installed. without success. I don't know if I am meant to preheat. I rang Andi and they just quoted the manual to me so I am none the wiser regarding which function to use - I am convinced there must be a function for grilling but cannot work it out. The person I spoke to said they would send me a recipe book because no cooking demonstrations are scheduled for Adelaide but that never arrived. (slightly disappointed)

A cooks dream – My falcon oven is simply the best. The pyrolytic clean is fantastic. My baking cooks so evenly, and I just love the tepenyaki plate and the wok cradle. Good solid upright. Sleek looking and easy to use – Oven successfully cooked cakes, roasts, casserole, grilled cheese on toast. Grill pan tray support is heavy and awkward to remove. Seems easy to clean cooktop. Yet to try pyrolytic self clean feature.  Show details ·  3

Awful stove – The knobs are cheap plastic and warped and cracked very quickly. The replacement cost is outrageous. The oven door is stained inside the glass as the glass is not sealed properly at the top of the door. I should be able to clean this but the screws used are very weird and designed to make you use a repairman to complete a simple task. A very expensive and poorly designed choice. I would never buy one of these again.

Love my Oven but watch out for Proud Appliances, don't let them near your oven to repair. Here's why – I have a Falcon oven and needed to have it repaired, firstly he was asked to fix a connection for he oven clock that was burnt out, all okay, that was done, then he was asked to check and sort out the cook top elements as they are playing up and not connecting properly, claims to have fixed the problem, well I have news for him, then asked to look… Read more

at my self cleaning oven and said that he doesn't have any real experience with them, should have been a warning sign! he turned on the oven to the self cleaning mechanism left, the oven had some play in the door and for some reason it didn't close properly, now keep in mind that he is the one that turned on the cleaning and supposedly fixed my oven, well it melted the side panel of my new $33,000 kitchen and upon calling for him to come and fix the problem they told me that it had nothing to do with them but they would send him out to look and assess for their own records, he gets here and guess what?? looks and tells me it had nothing to do with him and that it might happen sometimes with a self cleaning oven and because i had only just started using the self cleaning part of the oven!! What a load of crap!! I have had the oven for 3 years, clean it every two months and NEVER EVER had an issue with the cleaning mode until he touched it!! BE WARNED !! and then he had the balls to try and charge me for the call out to look at his damage!! the guy is deluded!!

Shouldn't rave about a stove this much – I bought a new stove it had to be self cleaning and went for the larger size. It cooks really well but what impresses me is cleaning ease. Pyrolytic oven clean function is like a crematorium leaving only ash. But I've never had such an easy to clean stovetop. The black enamel only needs a soapy cloth and the aluminium rings shine with a plastic scourer. Ahhh a delight!

Rust on three separate oven doors and poor finish on extractor hood – We purchased an Oven and Extractor Hood. first one (the one we originally returned, which we recognised immediately due to an internal dent and light scratches inside the unit - and the original 'bubble')...got suspicious about customer care.

The labelling on the fan and light control wore off in about a year (and we did not scrub nor treat it roughly). About 6 months after the Oven was delivered, the bottom of the door started to rust. Customer contact was variable and dismissive. Reluctantly, and after much insistence we had the oven door replaced...and it too has now got bad rusting in the same place as the original door. The oven is fantastic as an oven, it works well, but the rust is an absolute eye-sore. I cannot recommend that you get a Falcon Oven - especially for the price. Their product 'finish' is bad, and after sales is appalling.
