Quantum Stone
Horrible! Natural stone competitors can achieve more consistency in thickness then what quantum stone pavers give .
Out of 60 square meters only around 10-15% of pavers were the same thickness. Horrible to lay and get flush edges. Wouldn’t recommend spending or wasting time with these guys
Efflurescence:
Unfortunately Efflorescence can happen on any pavers with concrete present! It is the salt coming to the surface! I had reconstituted limestone pavers in WA! Same thing! They can be washed with a solution and then sealed the next day to prevent this from happening!
Cement is your problem not the pavers! Natural clay pavers won’t do this due to have no cement in them! Education is the key!

Attitude!
I got the impression it was an enormous imposition for the woman to handle my simple enquiry. Customer service came with an unpleasant, unfriendly, deliberately confrontational attitude. I went to an extremely helpful competitor - one without a chip on their shoulder. Give Quantum a miss. Limited range. Big customer service fail.
Utter garbage
As a licensed paving contractor with 35 years experience I can definitely recommend that you look at an alternative. I have had only bad experiences using this product especially the inconsistency in thickness...much better available.

Terrible Pavers
I had Quantum Stone pavers laid around my pool when it was installed in 2004. That makes my Quantum Stone paver installation just turning 13 years old. I regret having ever installed Quantum Stone and they are horrible. I have other paving around the house that is older and looks fantastic compared to the Quantum Stone.
My Quantum Stone pavers were once a sandy colour around the pool and initially looked great. However, the smooth surface finish has long since eroded away and they are now very porous. They trap lots of dirt and have develope...
Read mored a horrible black - grey appearance in the worst affected areas. I remember when they were laid, the paving contractor said that they were the worst pavers that he had ever laid, with inconsistent thickness, and he had a challenge in getting the edges level. The edges are tapered and leave a large gap between the pavers at surface level. Weeds continually grow between the pavers and I have to constantly weed (or spray) and continually top up the paving jointing sand, which regularly washes away. I am reluctant to spray the weeds and risk spray drift getting into the pool, which means weeding the pavers, which is an enormous and back breaking job. Because of the large gaps, water gets in between the pavers and undermines the base below the pavers, resulting in paver movement. I also have Quantum Stone as pool coping. In one section, the salt water from the pool has etched into the pavers so much that the small stones are exposed, which chips off and fall into the pool. The pool water constantly has a high calcium hardness level, which I would not be surprised if it is caused by erosion of the Quantum Stone coping paver leaching into the pool water. If you are considering using Quantum Stone, I would strongly suggest that you do your homework carefully and see if you can inspect some installations that are at least 5 or preferably 10 years old and to see for yourself how it performs over the long term. I am so fed up with my Quantum Stone, and have just finished weeding the pavers yet again. I have put up with them for too long now and I am seriously considering pulling them up and replacing them with something more reliable. A friend installed their pool the same time as mine, and their pool pavers look as good now as what they did when they were first installed.Amazing Product and Service
I have recently built a large entertainment area with patio, seats and fire pit. After significant research I used Quantum Stone and I am glad that I did. The staff were incredibly helpful and I found the sandstone product amazing. They also gave me great advice on how to look after the stones and the colour has stayed sharp. I feel it was excellent value for money and would recommend Quantum Stone to anyone.
Excellent customer service and product
Ordered large amount of pavers in March, wanted loads of different sizes and shapes, company could not have been more helpful, really worked with us so that we got it right, even completed the order early, even though we made several changes, gave us extras for free in case we needed them. Once laid, the pavers looked amazing and clean up beautifully, important because we have a lot of birds in the trees above the area we laid them. Really impressed and recommend highly.
Great product great experience
I have nothing but good words to say about the product and the service and would recommend Quantum Stone to everyone. I love my paved area and my pool looks amazing!

Terrible pavers and terrible service
We have a serious problem with efflorescence however have been told this is not covered under the warranty - not sure what the warranty covers to be honest. Our pavers should be cocoa in colour but are now white due to efflorescence. They say efflorescence sorts itself out however it's been 2 years with no change. Pool area looks ugly and is not good advertising for Quantum Stone nor Rainwise who recommended them. Quantum Stone under new owners who don't want to know; the old owner is non-contactable. Absolute waste of money to be honest and would NEVER recommend this product.

The Worst Pool Coping and Paving business in Australia
We had a pool installed in November last year and worked with a great company who gave us a choice of what Pool Coping we wanted to have. We decided to go with Quantum Stone because we wanted to support a local business in SA and also thought the price was reasonable. We ordered pavers to match the pool coping and our pool coping was installed in December with us greatly anticipating a great Xmas, New Year and then childrens birthday parties in Jan all being centred around our new pool. Unfortunately there was a problem with two stone pieces...
Read more on the corners not fitting and we were advised that as well as having 5 pavers short to finish the pool coping, that they needed to make a new mould for the corner pieces. We were very disappointed, given we had now lost the Xmas/New Year around the pool deadline, but understood that we would have to wait 2-3 weeks for a new mould to be made given the Xmas break for most businesses. We were promised by the owner himself that as soon as it was received in early Jan, they would prioritise making the stone pieces to complete our pool. Well mid-Jan came and they had only just paid for the mould to be sent all the way from Melbourne to Adelaide so despite paying for it, it would take up to a week to be received (apparently it was coming via carrier pigeon). Then when they received the mould in late Jan, they needed to make another mould before they could pour the stone and the person who made the second mould, only worked on weekends. They then said that they may send the master mould back to the Melbourne company to make the second mould so it would be quicker for us. If not, the person who could make the second mould, would definitely be in that weekend and would do it so it was no more than another week away! Then the same story the next week - may send it to Melbourne to make it quicker etc. etc. (obviously not much happened the previous week or weekend). The following week they had the second mould but still hadn't poured the stone to make the missing corner pieces, but that was a priority and would occur by the end of the week!!! Well it is now the following week and still no missing corner pieces, no finished pool coping and no deadline. Nearly two months after the pool coping was installed, we are still living in a building site with pallets of pavers that we can't put down because the pool coping isn't finished and we can't get the lawn replaced until the pallets are out of the way. To add insult to injury, they overcharged us $200 on my visa card for the pavers that we bought, for no reason at all and it took a week of 3 phone calls and a call to the owner to be re-imbursed for my own money where there was never any dispute that they had overcharged us. So all I can tell you is to tread very, very warily when dealing with this company. If there is no paving business left in the country but them, and you just have no choice but to deal with them, check your accounts very carefully and be ready for a very bumpy ride of constant lip service, lame excuses and the complete inability to deliver absolutely nothing at all!!!Buyer beware
These pavers are terrible and have let down the final stage of the restoration of our house, instead of slate grey they are nearly white due to efflorescence, photos are available if you would like to see what can happen to these pavers. Would never recommend them
