Quokka Beds Original Bed Base

100% happy with my Quokka bed base. It was a few month's wait as they are made to order, but I am very pleased with the quality and comfort. splinters or rough edges, and so, so solid. It's on the pricier side for bed frames, but honestly it is so worth it.

Communication was really good, I got regular updates about the progress of my bed frame as they are made to order, as well as timely shipping information. I like that they ship in bulk to a Melbourne distribution centre first to maximise efficiency of shipping products across the country.

Assembling the bed was super easy and straight forward, a friend helped me and it only took a few minutes. The printed instructions were really clear, and I like that there are also videos online too.

I'm so happy with this bed frame, and look forward to using it for many, many years.

this design as it makes everything so much easier. We have a very heavy mattress and I would hate to need to lift it. Because it’s heavy, it doesn’t slide around. You would not find many full timber beds at this price out there. After browsing a lot of furniture stores and scouring second hand options, I'm glad Quokka came up on my social media and I took a chance. Quokka is continually adding to their range and it's just a shame I can't keep buying more beds! We waited about 2 months but it was worth it. Could do with a bit more comms during the wait just to have peace of mind (because I had not heard of the brand before) which I have reflected to Quokka and they have responded (very friendly service btw). The bed frame came in 3 boxes and two separate deliveries about a week apart which, if you do not read your email carefully, might cause confusion. Not familiar with reason for the logistics but it would be nice to just receive it all at once because a week earlier for some boxes still means we can't have a bed. We have only had the bed frame for a few weeks so I can't comment on long term durability but I am hopeful it will remain sturdy in years to come and would highly recommend it based on my experience so far.

- No creaking!!!! The bed frame is honestly so solid and sturdy. It’s actually a massive relief after our old bed frame - which would creak really loudly at the slightest movement and disrupt sleep.

Finally - having owned the Koala bed base in the past - I can say that this is a superior product, namely because a) the mattress doesn’t slide around like on the Koala base, b) it looks better - the Koala bed base has so much extra frame jutting out from all sides that it takes up far too much floor space, c) the Quokka bed is a better design - no criss crossing frames that restrict airflow underneath like on the Koala bed base.

This is one of the best products we’ve ever invested in. Absolutely recommend :)

Love this bed! Really easy to put together, it's silent and it's beautiful timber. My bed head struts were broken during a house move (from some aggressive handling, not due to build quality) and Quokka even replaced them at zero cost! I'm so happy I went with a locally made product. Show reply

Thanks Quokka team for the great bed that does not creak. We ordered the additional side tables that attach to the bed. They are great for a smaller space and are very solid. It’s a beautiful bed and I love being able to support Australian made and Australian timbers that are sustainable. Our king bed was very easy to put together and the simple design looks great in our small room.Very good quality wood and doesn't creak . Good communication and delivery of bed very good. The bed itself is lightweight but sturdy and the no tool design made it super easy to put together. Literally took me 5 minutes all by myself, zero struggles.

Bed doesn't squeak at all. There's also enough clearance to put storage boxes underneath.

single creak and I get the feeling that i won't hear any for a very long time if it all given how durable it seems. If you are in the market for a simple, sleek, high quality bed base that will last a lifetime go with quokka. Don't waste your money with all the other big brands ( koala, ecosa, sleeping duck etc). their advertising looks good but if you actually look at the product details it is all fake laminated wood as opposed to real Australian timber from quokka
