Quick delivery, easy assembly, sound sleep, comfortable bed.
Indestruct Bed KingDelivery of bed and mattress was very fast. I was able to construct the bed by myself and just get a hand lifting the mattress - thanks to the easy to follow instructions. Bed base is very solid and quiet (no creaks), mattress is just right for our needs and has a cooling effect when sleeping in hot weather.
We really needed the bed and unfortunately couldn't wait 2 weeks for Black Friday sales, however if you can wait, the discount is generous.

Solid base for a good night sleep
Indestruct Bed KingStrongest bed base we have come across so far, easy to put together, a couple of nutserts went spinning lose after putting up the headboard which is a concern when the base will have to be dismantled if the bed needs removed as it won’t come appart again…

Amazing bed with 1 minor aesthetical issue
Indestruct Bed QueenBed is amazing, seems well built with quality materials and pretty easy to assemble. Only issue I have found is that the wooden panels on the side don't line up and sit snugly at the foot of the bed like in the online images, bed head however lines up perfectly. Have tried to make some minor movements and adjustments in case the bed is not quite aligned but no luck. It is a very minor issue however given the price it would be great if there wasn't a gap between the panels.

Perfect Bed Base
Indestruct Bed Kinggreat base and easy to ensemble with clear instructions. We initially purchased the mattress and tried to keep our old base but there are no comparisons, the Base with the mattress adds so much more support and comfort.

Earthquake proof
Indestruct Bed QueenBed is very heavy and extremely well engineered, if we have an earthquake I’m crawling under this bed it will be the safest place in my house!

Indestruct Bed KingWhen you start opening a parcel, you get an instant feel for the quality of the contents by the effort that has gone into packaging it. I knew I had a quality product the instant I opened the first box. Very fancy honeycomb core-flute cardboard spacers of varying thicknesses to protect and pad out the boxes ensured all components arrived undamaged. I should have taken a photo! I followed the assembly instructions without any problems. Compared with other bed frames I've put together, it's a lengthy process, but that's to be expected for a frame that will probably last me my lifetime, being 57, I reckon the frame will outlive me!

Indestruct Bed QueenIt was very easy to assemble, I was able to do most of it by my self. All the holes lined up perfectly, and there was no need to guess where any parts went.
VERY strong material, it will probably last for the rest of my life and then some!
All of the Sleeping Duck staff I engaged with over the phone and through email were super nice and very helpful with my order.
It was expensive, however I believe the quality matched the price.

Not sure the cost is warranted
Indestruct Bed KingWe spent several weeks looking for a bed frame and all roads kept leading back to this one despite being much more expensive than others. After some thinking and deep breathing, we decided to pull the trigger and purchase this frame. Our previous frame and bed were just a standard base with the same mattress brand we have now. We recently decided to upgrade from a queen to king and wanted to make sure we were getting the right base after 5 years of using the last standard base. ... Read moretting a king size mattress. After a few weeks on the SD base I can say I do not see, feel, or hear one bit of difference in my sleep aside from having the extra space in a king size bed. It will be nice to be able to disassemble this base and move it to our next home, but I’m not really sure paying 4x the cost of a normal base is justified here other than that one reason. I was half tempted to reach out and ask to return this to go back to a cheaper base as I was perfectly happy with our last one, but that seems like a lot of hassle to deal with and returning an item doesn’t always sit well with me. Great bed and has fixed my many back pain issues
Indestruct Bed KingQuite daunting as the boxes get delivered just to see how much bed there is but the Instructions are well laid out and easy to follow.
You get to see the high quality of everything from the bed components down to the tools provided.
The base is extremely solid, we had concerns it would still move around on the vinyl plank flooring but it hasn’t budged.
C-Spine - Well designed bed frame.
Indestruct Bed QueenDuring unpacking, it was immediately noticed that the c-spine bed assembly had been excellently designed and manufactured to a high standard. Assembly was simplified with the concise assembly manual supplied along with organised and individually labelled packaging of bolts and screws along with heavy duty supplied hand tools to tighten all hardware. Very happy with the bed unit generally. If l was to relate to a small negative, it would only be in relevance to thinking that the optional headboard that l had decided to purchase was perhaps a little overpriced to what was expected when ordering online.
In use the bed is certainly solid in assembled form without movement or creaks as generally experienced with a standard wooden frame bed base.

Over a family of 5 we have had a lot of beds over the years and after assembling this one well it is next level and can honestly say we will never have to buy another bed and for the mattress we have never had such a comfortable bed

Just wondering if anyone has this bed in walnut with collette legs? Just wondering if your happy with the finish/presentation of the wood and have any pictures?
Mine is all in walnut finish, not with the collette legs. The finish is very smooth to touch and low sheen.

There are a lot of positive reviews, I haven't read all of them, but most seem to be posted relatively soon after purchase. I'm keen to see if the "no creak" claim lasts. Similarly, interested to know if there is any change over time to partner disturbance, that is, does it start to rock/creak after a few months or years as it "settles". Also, it's a heavy bed, how easily can it be moved for cleaning, for example? I have a rug on timber flooboards that might need to be pulled out for cleaning, concerned that a heavy bed would make this even more difficult.

We can certainly understand wanting to ensure there's no creaks. The good news is our SD Indestruct Bed comes with a lifetime warranty on the Steel Core Support System which includes the Steel Frame, legs and Air Support Panels, and a 12 month warranty on the headboard and side panels.
So while you shouldn't have any issues down the track, you can always reach out to the team if anything does arise.
As the SD Bed is solid, you should notice a reduction in partner disturbance as well. The Air Support Panels provide a firm and flat surface that will keep your Mattress feeling secure over time.
The SD Bed is on the heavier side however, as the steel frame alone weighs 50kg. As such, we recommend having a friend on hand to help when moving and with assembly too.

Can the sleeping duck metal slats be used on another bed frame?

Each part of the SD Indestruct Bed is custom made to work with one another so you won't be able to use the Steel Frame or Air Distribution Panels on any other bases!
