Overpriced garbage – Bought a pair of $50 shoes and 3 weeks later the sole has peeled off. These shoes are overpriced, absolute trash. Spend your money elsewhere.
Awful and creepy old man watching is unnerving – If I could choose 0 I would! REALLY CREEPY old man at till just watching over several asian girls that are scared shitless of him. I tried a few pairs on and they just watch you like you're a criminal. I take a size 8 and had to try a size 10 that fit and when I tried to ask questions about if the shoes were real leather, the old creepy man got… Read more
offended and rude. Just a weird, weird vibe.
Anyway to top it off, I bought the shoes and a week later they started coming apart! I took them back on my lunch break and he said "we don't do returns for change of mind"!!! I showed him the sole was coming apart after a week (worn twice!) and he just ignored me and the girls stood in fear... Just weird vibe, weird man and girls that are so scared of him. Buy online from somewhere else even if you have to pay a few bucks extra, its not worth the hassle with this guy....
Wonderful service! – I would like to particularly thank Esen for all his help and patience while I switched and changed my mind with regard to the size of a pair of RoC boots. He was always so helpful and always so kind. Outstanding service!!! Show details
Great customer service – I wasn't happy with some gumboots I ordered and sent an email. Within three days, they'd shipped me a new pair, no questions asked. I was surprised and disappointed to read the negative reviews saying the service wasn't efficient, as my experience was the opposite. Many online retailers are hopeless with refunds/replacements, but for me, Raben was great and extremely efficient. Show details
Very bad customer service! – Very very rude customer service and bad owner as well! I was trying to ask about the shoe colours and she just grab my hand and my phone when I show that old woman staff. I was so shocked!! Specially with Covid-19 now, and she yelling at me when she said this is the color!! I went up to the old man at the counter to ask him if there any lighter… Read more
color because that old woman staff she doesn't want to help me. He just brushed me off, told me to go and look it yourself on the wall. Then I can feel that they are not willing to help then I walked out. And I still didn't go out that far, that old woman staff was talking behind my back about me already about why can't she touch my phone!!! Do not go to this horrible shop!! It is NOT SAFE for you!!!
Lovely pair of Blundy's and Redbacks! – Context : Sister has been raving about Blundy's because she can wear em to work and they're super comfortable. Ended up purchasing a pair and Redbacks. Staff were incredibly helpful, recommending and answered my questions. Would highly recommend popping into the store and sticking with the main brands. Shame that Blundstones aren't made in… Read more
Tazzy anymore, but there are a few other Australian made boots available too, just ask the staff.
I suppose YMMV with customer experience, but I believe they do not have a return policy, and it's final sale.
Do your homework, try the shoes on, talk to the staff.
Lousy product, lousy service – My wife bought a pair of horse print gumboots in April 2020 for $30 and wore them maybe a ten times. By the end of August 2020 one boot started leaking. Called Raben customer service and they refused to provide a refund or replacement. When asked why, they said she had brought them too long ago. Four months is hardly a long time! They also implied… Read more
that for $30 we shouldn't expect them to last much more than four months. What a business model! Steer well clear.
Gumboots fell apart in 3 months! – Bought my wife a pair of horse print gumboots to wear around the yard. Xmas present. About $80 delivered. About 3 months in a few cracks appeared in them. Now they've totally fallen apart. Just from casual use. Emailed Raben weeks ago and no reply. Show details
Unfortunately it is the worst footwear ever purchased – I bought the shoes named as ‘Boot Husky’ from the Raben Footwear store located at 611 George St. Sydney. Before the purchase I asked the staff if they were good at all but the shoe felt heavy. The staff replied they were good. I believed her, bought the boot that Monday evening. I wore them on Tuesday morning. It felt heavy and not as comfortable.… Read more
However I thought may be because it was a brand new boot. However by the time it was evening the ‘brand new’ boot’s heel literally came off while I was walking down the street! The quality of this Boot Husky was so terribly cheap that it didn’t even last a day! I had to walk barefoot back to station and then back to home. I went to the store next day and the owner who said her name was ‘[name removed]’, said it was a bad luck that the heels came off! She was not apologetic at all and instead tried to ‘joke’ if no men came and helped me ?!?! The owner does not care about the customer or even the products she is selling claiming to be ‘good quality’. The brand Raben is a total embarrassment. The purchase would be a loss of money, time, energy and trust we tend me have as a customer.
Expensive and painful – Purchased 2 pairs of boots for my daughter and niece one of them came apart after 3 weeks. The shoes are stiff and painfull not worth it go to original doc shop. And make sure you lodge a fairtrading complaint online so this can be dealt with properly. The shoes do not fit the purpose theyre not disposable and supplier should refund or replace. Absolute rubbish!!
Leather ripped after 3 wearings – I bought Doc Marten style boots. They stiffen leather with plastic which cracks and rips leather after 3 wearings. These boots have fulfilled the manufacturer's purpose...ie to be sold. Like so much junk we buy from China, the product isn't really intended to function. It's only intended to be sold. Just rubbish for landfill. What a waste of the world's resources.
Raben copy of the black 3 hole Dr Marten 1461 shoe – Raben Shoes sells a copy of the black 3 hole Dr Marten 1461 shoe for around $120. Quality control varies as I found from looking at two different pairs in the store. My shoe pulled away at the stitching and the surface of both of the shoes developed multiple cracks at the sides, down to the bottom of the lining. Customer support is non existent.
