We were there as a family for my daughter's birthday celebration. For us it was a rewarding experience as we managed to get the villa unit which was very spacious with 3 bedrooms with attached bathrooms. sumptuous and enjoyable meal. In spite of not being able to have the desert, the management provided a plate decorated with the birthday message making it special for my daughter. Charles the waiter on the night was very friendly and thoughtful.
Breakfast at the Cape Schanck Resort has a very wide variety of items that one can not have all the items on display. The only improvement one can think of is in the pastries - but that is only for the sweet tooth and people who are not diabetic. Staff there is very friendly and easy going to accommodate to ones special breakfast requirements. One waiting staff Shane entertained my grand daughter with his jugglery talent besides being very good in his job.
RACV resorts cheating room prices – RACV resorts are cheaper when booked through a general hotel booking site compared to their regular rates. manager he was extremely rude and abusive to me because he refused to refund me. The breakfast was delicious.. Also I liked playing Boules and Pool.
Disappointing – I brought my friend here for her birthday as a special treat. When the oval teared collection arrived we found most of the compilation was sweets and six scones (6 scones-overkill for two people). The savory items were aesthetically unappealing. When the champagne arrived I noticed it was not what I ordered, it was just sparkling wine, the young lass did not handle the option well, so we didn't bother with the champagne in the end. The best part of our visit was my long time friend's company, the VIEW and a very capable maître D. The young staff are not fully trained as yet.
High quality but expensive – Have been an RACV Club member for over 20 years and stayed in all the resorts except Hobart. High quality accommodation and facilities but have noticed much higher prices in recent times. Also the RACV website continues to be difficult to use to check availability and make bookings. Budget Perfect Hotel – As a member who availed a discount in this hotel for the first time, the price we got is amazing. The buffet breakfast has everything, there is a free usage of the 25 meter pool with extra heated pool, the kids can use the Arcade games for free as well as the table tennis and others. There is tennis court and play ground for kids outside the building. Everything is in the room and there is a great view of the beach.
