Ramesses Electric Blanket. All's well, that ends well – I was really happy with it, but then the controller failed 20 months after I bought it. Seems to be a common problem with these controllers. These have a 2yr warranty, so I contacted the distributor and they sent me a replacement within a couple of days after I emailed them a copy of my purchase receipt. They were terrific to deal with. Worst electric blanket ever – I have bought 3 of these electric blankets from Harris scarf and everyone has stopped working the cords are bloody hopeless and can't contact anyone to complain about it do yourself a favour people don't buy them and Harris scarf should be embarrassed selling them

Only one side works after a year – Not satisfied with this fitted electric blanket. My husbands side doesn't work. The controller has gone yellow and no life in the screen hence NO heat. Grrrrr

RUBBISH – One side stopped working after a month, I had to send a video to customer care of it not heating ‍♀️i never heard back after sending multiple emails to them, worst customer service ever!! DO NOT BUY!!!! Show details

Not sustainable – Bought it for a decent price, for a year to two was using it when necessary. Come a break between use and not working anymore. Controller doesnt work (which I seem is a common theme in most of these reviews).

Could have burnt my house down! – Had blanket 2 years. Very warm and love the timer. Uncomfortable to sleep on and gets ridges etc. this week could smell burning so looked at cord to find it was literally burning through and to the mattress too! So dangerous! Not again. Show details

Heat controls fail – Controllers are terrible had two blankets in the past 3 years, heat controls failed everytime. I remember when electric blankets would last well over 10 years. Such a waste of materials these days all ending up in landfill. Glad I didn’t pay retail. Show details

Worked OK, until after a year one controller failed – Seemed to be well made, and worked fine... until after about a year of use, one controller failed - no display, no heating of the bed on that side. Tried searching for a replacement controller - nope, no can do. At least we got one year of service from it, but really you'd think 5-10 years would be more acceptable. Does not carry our recommendation, look for another brand.

Poorly designed & short life – Purchased king single but it only heated as if it was a standard single size so yr feet were always cold. Controls began to fail quickly with led not lit after a while & has now completely stopped heating. Show details

Can you Purchase the Controller's separately at all ? – Controller never worked from date of purchase - Looks to be a Quality product. Disappointing – I purchased this on sale but there’s no way I would have paid rrp for this product. Whilst it fits well and looks good that’s where it ends. Only instructions are on the box ( I mean how hard can it be ) There’s a timer ( great ) ?? Yep if it turned off!! I set for 1 hour and wake up hours later it’s still on. Disappointing – The moment I took this out of a package one of the controllers wasn’t working any it wouldn’t heat on that side (which seems to be a common issue on here). the other controller had stopped working. I contacted the supplier, as I did last time, which they then replied to they had gone out of business and to contact Kingtex directly. I emailed Kingtex explaining my situation, to which they asked where I had purchased the electric blanket, which I replied to. No reply since then. I have since emailed another 4 times with no response, rendering this electric blanket useless.

Really disappointed that I spent this much for an electric blanket that I only used 5 times and disappointed that they didn’t reply to me when it seems to be a very common problem.

If only I had kept the receipt!! – The fleece is nice but the electric blanket is worthless rubbish. It has all the items we wanted - fitted fleece blanket, cut off switch, timer - but it lasted one use! Now the heating system has died and the controller is blank.that’s a lot of money for a fitted blanket. My advice - buy a $22 electric blanket from Kmart instead of wasting $160 on this pos.  Show details

Cold feet on King Size Single – I got the King Size Single Ramesse electric blanket, and very frustrating, Yes, its king size fitted to go over a king size single bed, but they use only single bed heating elements that stop 8 inches from the end of the bed giving cold feet. The complete opposite of what you want on a cold night. It should not be sold as a king size single.

Faulty control no response to requests to replace controller – Purchased through Groupon -the controller was not working from initial delivery. The company phone is disconnected. They don't respond to emails.Appears a common fault. Subsequently noted that Choice rated them last in a review of electric blankets. Show details

You can't control the temperature! – If you fluke turning the blanket on then it is OK, but you can't check whether you have turned it on or off. If its wrong, you wake up in a sweat. Basically you don't have any controls that you can verify. I don't know how this blanket passed Australian safety laws. Show details

Some issues – Good but not great. The LED lights on the controller have ceased to work and its very difficult to change settings. Of course the receipt docket from Harris Scarfe has not lasted as long as the warrantee. Additionally, I have found that when I want to turn the temp down it initially raises the temp before reducing it. Not great when your already a bit too warm. Lovely fitting and great to have the fleecy wool top. Show details

Great, but? – Fits well, but I have no idea how to switch the blanket off. The Smart controller has an On/Off button but does not seem to actually turn the blanket off, the Owners Manual is quite vague but indicates that the blanket should be set to L for all night use or on "low" if you wish to use it for several hours, this is confusing, does L = low? Show details

fantastic after service – I purchased this electric blanket over a year ago, but when I put it on my bed for this year noticed one of the controllers didn't work. I called the distributers and while I knew I was out of warrantee was happy to pay for the new one as I am so happy with the product. Works great, have had no problems – Has several heating settings, visible on the small screen, as well as auto turn off settings, which come in handy. Comes in a range of sizes, and fits nicely on my bed. Does create a small lump on the side of the bed, but that's easily ignored. Very satisfied.  Show details

So safe and energy efficient – So safe and energy efficient. It turns off automatically after 10 hours or you can vary the shut off time up to 10 hours. It is fitted so is easy to take off and the controller unplugs for washing.  Show details

fantastic, great product – Having to replace my electric blanket after the ten years, I looked and reviewed many.The Ramesse Electric blanket was well worth the money, love the automatic off function in case of over heating.
