They work well – I've purchased cheap versions as well as these Ratsak ones. I have caught over 40 mice so far with the Ratsak ones, and none with the cheaper ones - even when placed side by side. Worth spending the money on genuine Ratsak Electronic Traps Show details

Excellent mouse trap – I've used all types of mouse traps but this electronic mouse trap works everytime, easy to set bait and easy to discard of rodent. Only thing to be aware of which is not mentioned in the manual is if a rodent is caught the led light will flash green but only every 20 seconds, I was expecting it to flash frequently and thought the device was… Read more

faulty so you need to count to 20 checking if light flashes. Also kills cockroach's and spiders if they walk onto zap plates. Excellent product otherwise.

Didn't last long – Product lasted 2 months. Killed 2 rats. so it cost about $60 per rat killed. 2 stars because it worked. but only 2 stars because it has now stopped working altogether I wouldn't recommend it Show details

Waste of money – Bought this item, initially it caught a small crawly bug?? Now nearly everyday the light flashes to indicate a kill/capture - but nothing. So a waste of money I'm thinking - should have spent the $50.00 on baits. Complete GARBAGE, might return it yet Show details

Very effective mouse/rat trap – Bought this product at Bunnings as I have bought another brand (The Big Cheese) which didn't work. I put a bit of bread with peanut butter on the bait area on the night I bought this product and Voila, caught the mouse the next morning. Although quite expensive (retail$50), it is highly recommended if you want quick result Show details

Fantastic – Bought a few hours ago for $48 from Mitre 10. A little skeptical at first but it works amazing and caught the mouse. The noise made me jump but definitely did the job fast and effective 10/10 would recommend.  Show details

These work great but had to modify it for mice – We bought one and were surprised how well it worked, however at times the bait was being taken and no vermin in the trap. We worked out that mice were entering from the rear of the trap through the holes and avoiding the shock bars. We fitted a grid to prevent mice coming in the 'back door' and since then no more 'stolen' bait. Photo shows the modification. We have now bought a second trap for the barn.  Show details ·  1

Works as advertised – Have been using this with peanut butter as bait and we are catching a mouse on average every second night. Pleasantly surprised at how good it is. It is out performing the sticky mat traps we have. The real bonus is that unlike poison, you don't end up with dead smelly mice under your fridge or wherever else they go to die. Very glad we have this device, has turned out to be worth the money spent. Show details

Wowee! Fabulous! – Cat brought me a pressie - a large rat, which managed to get under my dishwasher and escape in to a tiny hole in the kitchen cabinetry. I removed a piece of the woodwork and placed the ratsak in the hole overnight with a dollop of (good quality) peanut butter, as instructed. 24 hours later, rat dead. Unbelievably good. Highly recommend. So happy… Read more

with the outcome. Friends were sceptical recommending pellets instead. This was a much more humane way to.kill the rat. Seriously consider buying it!

Great product! – It the bomb! It works 95% of the time for me (seems to work better with 'energizer' batteries) Put it in ceiling and each night it scores one after another. When the rats are finally gone (no peanut paste taken) I'll throw peppermint soaked cotton balls in the ceiling to hopefully repel any more.  Show details

Best investment so far – Partner bought one of these home when i discovered something had raided my chocolate biscuit stash. Set it in the pantry with peanut butter bait. Next morning, we had our biscuit thief. Heard a mouse under my lounge while working on the laptop, so i set the trap right next to it. Within minutes the mouse was dead. I heard the zap, killed it in 1-2… Read more

seconds. I went and got 2 more traps to put in the shed and in 3 nights I got 7 more mice. 2 at once shown in the pic.

Did not work for me at all – this electric RATSAK trap did not work for me at all. it does not have any effect on the Rats at all as you can see clearly on the video that I made on YouTube. I set a camera inside the roof for few days to see if this trap works. bare in mind that you would need to buy the batteries separately as they are not included. Show details

This trap does work! – We have a huge black rat problem in our garden. I finally decided that enough was enough due to the constant destruction of my garden. After I identified these rats were feral introduced species( not bush rats), I considered the methods of disposal. I decided against bait due to the cruel, slow death they go through and the chance of secondary… Read more

poisoning occuring(cats, dogs, birds of prey etc). I discovered this product online and purchased from my local hardware shop. I put peanut butter on the easy to use bait tray on the little door at back. I was aware that it is not really for outdoor use so constructed an enclosure to keep it dry( polystyrene box with lid) and placed it around various parts of the garden where rats are usually seen. I was a bit disappointed at first as the rats avoided it for a week or so but after that time they must have been used to seeing the trap and I started seeing results. So far in around a fortnight we have caught 5 rats and 2 mice! They die quickly- no suffering. We have learnt it is of benefit to leave the trap in one area preferably so they get used to it being there as they are cautious creatures and let the peanut butter age. They seem to like it better then.

Took a month to get a result, but does work. Better than poison – Have use Ratsak pellets for years which work, but the odour of Rattus Extinctus wafting down from the ceiling space was the big downside, along with the need to trace/remove the source. Tried a Nooski without any success, so in desperation I purchased this device. Loaded/armed/waited. Nothing, it was ignored - while the few Ratsak pellets we… Read more

left out to confirm the rat presence always vanished nightly.

Went to refill the pellet container today and - surprise, surprise - a dead rat in the trap. Took a month from first setup, even though peanut butter is a recommended bait, so not impressive on that front. But it DOES work despite my scepticism.

The design of the receptacle for the bait is NOT really helpful for any type of bait. Because it is an "overhang", PB wants to slide off, solid bait simply can't be used without some "adhesive". Design needs some more thought.

Worked immediately – We cornered a rat in a bedroom behind a cupboard but couldn't get it out or capture it. I bought one of these, baited it, put it in a large box against the cupboard opening so the rat could 'escape' into the box. While I was still in the room, within 30secs of setting it, the rat entered the dark box and it tried the electric trap. Killed in a few seconds. Easy disposal and reset for the next one. Show details
