I have been using Redarc products for some years, specifically their SBI Electronic Battery Isolator. I had one go faulty recently and emailed support for a spare part for it. This device just uses a heavy duty contactor and a small electronic module (connected to the contactor) to sense battery volts. When the first battery is charged the module… Read more

turns on the contactor to charge the second battery. The small electronic module (replaceable) went faulty. I contacted Redarc Support clearly outlining the part required in my email. My first reply was completely misinterpreted based on the reply. I again explained the problem requesting the replacement part to be told they do not have them as a spare and to just purchase a complete replacement item. For a company that promotes themselves as an australian manufacturer, I think their support is really poor in not supporting their product with spare parts. This was not a complicated product or request. I for one wont buy another Redarc product to risk being unsupported. So much for Australian manufacturing.

Exceptional customer service – Excellent customer service. I purchased a redarc go block portable battery. I was due to go away camping in the outback and plugged my battery in to charge. It started throwing multiple error codes and was no longer working. I called up Redarc, knowing I only had 5 days until I left to go off grid, I spoke to Kirsty who was beyond helpful. My… Read more

battery was collected the next day and a replacement sent to me by day 3. With only 2 days to spare they had not only collected my battery but made sure I had a replacement for my trip. This was exceptional customer service and is the gold standard for others to strive for.

Really impressed – Impressed with the quality of my Redarc 1225 Core charger. The price wasn’t too bad on promotion compared to the cheaper brands out there. Very good instructions included and once installed the thing didn’t miss a beat. I had purchased a Kings charger in the past only for it die after a few months. Stoked to be supporting Australian owned and manufactured as well. Show details

Made in China – I paid a premium price to buy a quality locally manufactured Redarc product, only to receive a product that was labelled "Made in China". I double-checked their website and it only refers to their products being manufactured in South Australia. I asked their customer service team about it and got no reply. Show details

Great service from Redarc – I purchased a BCDC1240D reg from redarc for our caravan. I bought Redarc because of its reputation, and an Aussie made product. Not the cheapest on the market but I wanted quality. This unit was installed by an auto electrician because I'm not an expert with this type of stuff and I wanted it done properly. ie NO breakdowns whilst in the outback… Read more

and therefore no batteries. This unit worked well for the last 3 years or so with no problems keeping our 300Ah lithium batteries up to full capacity. However on our last jaunt ( only a week away ) the regulator failed to work taking a amps in from the solar panels but not passing it on to the batteries. I left a message with redarc explaining what had happened which was confirmed by my auto electrician. I received a call from understanding and patient Shannon who went through a multi meter test with me by phone ( I am in WA ) on the reg. which took about 20 minutes. Redarcs products have a two year warranty and being that my reg was out of warranty all I was expecting was some way to repair or reset the reg. However, to my surprise ,Shannon offered me a ''goodwill replacement' unit as they call it. A completely brand new unit. Unbelievable fantastic service. This company needn't have done this but in the interest of customer satisfaction this apparently is their policy on some occasions. So for me I have no hesitation recommending Redarc products, not just because they make quality units and that are made in South Australia but they have a reputation to match.
