Remington Hot Air AD355

Design fault – Bought this product on Sunday (to replace my hot air brush that stopped working the day before) and definitely don't like it. Most of the hot air comes out of the vents at the base of the brush and so the brush itself doesn't heat effectively. Thank goodness it wasn't very expensive - as for me it was a complete waste of money and I've had to order a different design/product online.
Too powerful! – I like the idea of this hot air styling brush, but it is too hot and powerful. My hair is short and quite fine, and even on the slower setting, it is still very powerful and very hot. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with short fine hair. I am sure it is fine for people with very thick hair which takes a while to dry, as this would speed things up, but it is not for me I'm afraid.
Love this – Such a shame this item has been discontinued. Was great for straightening my curly hair. If you have curly hair grab one whike you still can. Good value for money too.
I use this styler every day..30 yrs now! – I bought the first one of these in the 1980's it was a red one. Took some time to replace it after someone took a fancy to it and refused to return it!! Grr.. Since then, I have bought a few for friends, and nicked off with the attachments one day from the person who took mine...boy that felt good! Lol. Anyways, it is so good at managing my short,… Read more
fine unruly hair. Hair conditioners/oils etc just leave me with hat head! Nobody wants that! I do tend to flatten the bristles after a while, and one seemed to be getting really hot, so I tossed it and replaced it. I am looking now as this one is approaching the ten yrs use mark. not sure if it will fail or become unsafe, so a spare is preferable. They are so hard to find. Come on Remington...do not new and improve it...no need to mess with perfection! Can I have it in purple this time? Red will do..
Best hair styler ever with a great price – I got mine for $20 at Harvey Norman and it's the best hot air styler/ curler I've ever used so easy too use and the best part is it comes with 2 bushes one big for loose curls and one small for tight curls best bargain ever for this air styler so good and impressed I'm willing to even pay $100 if the prices go up.
I use mine every day! – I have short to medium hair and like to 'manage' my hair by straightening out the kinks, softening the ends either under or flicked back, and getting volume into my style. A hair dryer and brush method is exhausting on the arms (at my age) so when I found this product a couple of years ago I decided to give it a go. The price was right at least… Read more
and not over inflated as were most like products. It was also simple, one handle, 4 settings, two interchangeable brushes. (don't know what people are referring to a quick release action, etc. because this brand doesn't have that). I do find though that the smaller diameter plastic brush gets tangled in the hair so I do not use that one, only the larger bristle brush. I imagine the small brush is only for very short hair. I love the simplicity and ease of use of this product and both my sisters, after trying it, (one has similar hair to me and the other has hair practically down to her waist and likes to 'manage' the ends) have purchased this product as well. It is a great product and after 2 years mine is still going strong. Reliable, easy to use, easy to clean, good product
Love it! – I have curly, wavy mid length hair that does what it wants. I have tried unsuccessfully many times to blow dry and style my hair with a round brush and then with a curler in an attempt to get my hair to behave, like my hairdresser seems able to do. I was so excited to discover there was actually a brush that blow dried your hair all at once so you… Read more
didnt need to wrestle with brush and drye
I purchased this particular styler after looking at others on the market because of the price. I was excited but at the same time not convinced that it would be that easy to use so I thought I'd start out with a cheapie. I had no trouble using it, It wasnt cumbersome or heavy, it dried my hair quickly ( several brushes with each section was all it took), my hair was frizz free AND best of all tamed my curls!
I thought that the curls would end up separating and fall out over night but the didn't and actually lasted until I day three when I needed to wash my hair again.
My sister bought a similar styler, after I purchased mine, by another manufacturer that cost twice the price. I have used hers and I don't find it any better or easier to use nor are the results better. I have been given many compliments on my hair since I started using this styler. So happy with it! Easy to use. Easy to change brush attachments. Dries hair quickly and styles wavy/curly hair beautifully. Price! It is a little noisy. Definately louder than the other model I have used.
Not good – I have bought more of these than I can count. They dont last long. Varying problems over the ones I have had. They cut out even before they get hot (auto cut out for over heating). Plastic bristles are removeable by sliding them off but they come out when you dont want them. The end tip just falls off so the air escapes out the end so I had to… Read more
glue it in. Unfortunately local stores dont sell a similar product, so I have no choice but to replace this styler frequently. The type of styling with drying capability. Differant issues each one Ive purchased.
Bad – More than once I've tried to make amazing curls like the model on the book, and more than once I've failed. The head is so complicated, and it always takes me ages to unwind the hair that has gotten tangled up. The 'quick release' tool is very hand, though. It's very noisy, and takes longer than a normal curler to make curls. A good thing is that… Read more
you can use it to dry your hair whil making it curly.
Overall, don't bother with it - a normal curler is so much easier. No need to heat up. Very very complicated and difficult, always gets my hair in knots.
