Poor and inaccurate customer service – My Resi loan was “sold” to this outfit. Resi sent me the only correspondence in six months since migrating. Changes noted in this correspondence turned out to be far from correct. Cost me money. Customer service does not even understand their own product. Constant conflicting advice, even in writing. Little info on website regarding “new”… Read more

rules. Basic bones portal with again, no rules or info. A joke financial institution(a bad one). Don’t recommend Resi either, due the “selling” my loan.

Try to avoid if possible – Unfortunately a difficult company to deal with, not customisation was possible at any point of time during the 8years, I would not recommend and would only use if last resort, Show details

Interest Rate Rises – As a young family interest rate rises are hard enough. After taking out a mortgage with this company on a variable rate, interest rates have risen 10 times. I understand that every rate rise has been passed on in full, however I feel they are taking advantage of their customers by raising it even higher numerous times. e.g. in December rates rose… Read more

0.25% and our variable rate rose 0.4%. After enquiring I have been informed that there is nothing they can do which I find very difficult to believe. In the one year that we have had the loan the interest rate has gone from 2.54% - 6.29% (this does not include the March 0.25% increase). Even with all interest rises passed on in full this should provide us with a rate of 5.89% (not including March increase). That's a 0.4% increase with no explanation. Letters provided do show the new interest rate but do not provide information on what that rise is in comparison to the previous rate, so could potentially go unnoticed. Although polite staff were entirely unhelpful. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

Got a good deal and nice staff! – With all the rate rises going on. I contacted Resi to get my rate reviewed to see what they could do for me. They were proactive and repsonded quickly to my enquiry and came back with a better rate offer in a few days which was competitive with the banks. I didnt have to go through a lot of calls and didnt have to jump through a pile of paperwork… Read more ·  1

to get it done either.

Everyone i dealt with were helpful and nice to talk to, they listended and understood my needs. They made the process quick an easy, and i didnt feel like i was just a number in the queue.

I would reccomend to others.

Great Service! – My wife and I just recently financed our home loan through Resi Home Loans. We could not fault Resi's professionalism. They helped us with all the information we needed and took care of all of the financial details to secure us our home loan. The process was very smooth and stress-free. I would not hesitate in recommending Resi Home Loans to others. Show details ·  1

RESI AUSTRALIA Disappointing Discharge Fees - SHOP AROUND – I feel the discharge fee was just ridiculous and lacked integrity. I am being charged $495 for a discharge fee which is absolutely on the high side. But that's not all. Welcome to $300 solicitor fees. The response was 'we don't have lawyers onsite'. I call crap on Resi.  Show details

a stresssful experience to reduce loan rate – Loan was with Resi for years - initially one loan and then a second to do renovations - BUT, they put BOTH loans on high lo-Doc rates without telling me.. Strangled by high interest that I paid to them for YEARS, the Loan balance hardly moved downward........ they were unsympathetic during this time. early Aug.16, after the RBA move, they did… Read more

not reduce rate

I finally had enough and rang them to get a Loan statement from 1/7/16 on - so that I could refinance ..

they came to the party with 1.37% rate reduction - but, this was a stressful process with me having to continually chase them

One word shocks! – Had our loan for less than a month and they increased .20% without any justification whatsoever, there was official rate increase just increased on their own accord. A few other start up issues which me managed to sort but really not a great start! Be wary.

Poor Service and dishonest – I urge anyone considering using Resi please find another as they charge fees without consulting you even though they say there would be no fees. When the matter is raised they are quite offensive and refuse to resolve the matter.

Superb Service! – We went to resi because the rate they were offering was one of the best around, but the thing we really appreciated was the incredibly helpful staff that would answer our questions whenever we called. Our loan manager made the time to spell out all the possible extra loan features that we may find useful (if there was one I would recommend above… Read more

Good – We are really happy with Resi and would recommend to family or friends needing a home loan. They even give you and the friend or family member $100 each if they do get a loan with Resi. My husband and I have been with resi for over 4 years and we have both our home loan and an investment property loan with them. We always find Resi to be helpful… Read more

when we need it. Its easy for us as pretty much everything can be done over the phone or on the internet - it is really convenient for us to manage our loans this way. They don't have a credit card that we can link to the home loan but they do have a debit card so we can access our redraw this way. It would be good to have a credit card also though.

saving almost 1% off the rates that the banks were offering! wish that we had known about these guys sooner, if a friend hadn’t told us about them we wouldn’t have gotten this loan.
