Having the Aussie Loans Coolum team behind me, I was able to get my offer accepted with a 7 day finance clause, which is why my offer was accepted as speed was what the Vendor wanted due to personal circumstances. However, after an offer is accepted, there's so much more work to be done, and Trevor and team did what they said they would, in a timely manner and the property settled with no issues.

I say all this, as I work for one of the big four banks, and unfortunately, I would not have received the same amazing service, care or understanding from the bankers of where I work. Buying a home is stressful, and not something you do every day and it's not my area of expertise, so don't I don't know the process, or needs to happen when, whilst working full time. Trevor kept me informed at every stage, took the time to help me understand everything so I could make informed decisions, communicated with me when he said he would, and diligently progressed everything. Not once did I have to remind, chase or question something about the application. The complete opposite of my experience when I bought my previous home with my big bank employer, which was easily one of the most stressful experiences of my life.

with Averil to the final settlement and at every stage between, I felt confident that I was with an expert in home loans and refinancing. At every stage of my application, Averil communicated regularly and explained mortgage and finance jargon clearly and concisely. Furthermore, Averil narrowed down potential lenders, compared rates and offered her expertise, within the purview of her role, securing an exceptional offer from Bankwest before rates increased. Despite some bumps along the way with title details and my previous lender dragging their feet with settlement, Averil kept me informed and kept the door open for any queries or concerns I had - and there were a few. Another thing worth mentioning, is that Averil has a very easy, warm manner without skimping on details which are beyond her control. This was particularly important given the glitches we encountered. Despite these circumstances, the process was actually rather quick and between Averil, Joanna Mangila and Joanna’s manager, sufficient pressure applied, and continuous following up with my previous lender resulted in the final settlement and refinance. My application included releasing equity, and with Averil’s guidance, there were no disappointments. This made the entire conversation feel unnecessary and uncomfortable. It raises serious questions about why so much sensitive personal data was required when the outcome seemed clear from the start. I left feeling that my time was wasted and genuinely concerned about how my information is stored and whether it may be shared with third parties.

Based on this experience, I find it hard to trust the overwhelmingly positive reviews here. The process felt inefficient and poorly managed, and overall the system at Aussie Home Loans seems broken. I would be very cautious before sharing personal or financial information.

my personal loan was paid off we’d be entitled to borrow more,never asked if I wanted to come into the office to go over anything,nothing…He just wanted to get off the phone probably to have a sleep!
