Recently I received a bill for the life insurance that I had with AMP now taken over by this mobthey have my email address but decide to send the notice by 'snail mail'dated 17march , I received it today 31/3/2026,and I usually pay by B -Pay,they have my email address but do not send any reminders except by mail AND even then when it is due by the… Read more
first day of April, not only that they make errors transcribing my name needing for me to use a JP to verify who I am,not only that but the AMP share register has my name correct because I pay tax on it.further my withdrawal amount REDUCES as time of contribution increases GO FIGURE .I AM SORRY THEY (AMP)got taken over by Resolution life, because they(AMP) were a good COMPANY,Iwould not patronise Resolution Life for all the gold in china because they areNO GOOD.
If you were previously an AMP customer (as I was) and your Life Insurance Bond (Investment Bonds as originally recommended by the Barefoot Investor) have rolled into this company, you need to be aware of the difficulty closing your accounts and withdrawing your money. The process has been terrible to say the least. They take your money easy… Read more
enough, but it takes weeks to get it out. Step 1. Complete a Withdrawal form and email it to them. Step 2. They want you to verify your identity via a 3rd party (a few more days). Step 3. They will approve your withdrawal, but will then wait for your last regular payment to clear (and this will be added to your final payout). Step 4. They will ask their admin team to process the request. I've done this twice now and it has been escalated. Each time it is 3-4 days. My initial request was sent on 17/7/25 (13 days ago) and I still don't have my money or any written confirmation of what I will receive. I have two other bonds that were set up for my children and now I am concerned about leaving them here. I think I need to look for an alternative and get my money out as a priority. If you need your money urgently - you won't recieve it from this company quickly!
I’ve been with Resolution life since AMP transferred to this pathetic corporation in late 2018 . I’ve received my payments , but it’s been a constant struggle to communicate , receive a reasonable response , in fact I’ve more apologies than I want . I don’t want apologies from a company that looks after my financial future . Constant stream of… Read more
staff changes , weak customer service and lack of customer service. To be offered payments and accepted I will admit , and these were basically asking me not to make another official complaint , and I have made a few . Well that sums up the staff morale from top to bottom . It’s actually increased my stress levels , when their aim is to find a way to lessen the pressure I have been through in the past 5 years . My personal claims managers have generally tried to help , but the professional and personal help from recent managers has shown a lack of training and care in this company . I’ve complained on other platforms re Resolution life since AMP. Hopefully there may be a resolution to the pathetic service

No resolution – Resolution life are the most appalling company I have dealt with in my 67 years You cannot get any phone response , 3 days of 6 hour days waiting. No email response . No snail mail response , except from them to say I owe money . Cannot sign up to my resolution life on line they don’t recognise me after 15 years. Truly truly awful company. God knows when I die how my next of kin will get through Show details
Avoid Avoid Avoid – Phoned them several times, and spent minimum 30 minutes on hold. Chat takes similar times to get answered. Payout was less than expected. An Endowment that ended on a known date will now take an extra 7 to 10 business days before payment -- despite all required information being returned a month in advance. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Show details
A useless company with literally zero customer service – AMP Life recently became "Resolution Life", and since then their "service" has been completely non-existent. If you call them, you'll wait in a phone queue indefinitely (every time for me has been over 30 mins without getting through). They try to direct you to their online "service" portal, which has never, ever worked. The registration page for… Read more
the portal is just a RELOAD button that does nothing. If you email them, you simply won't get a reply. I've been with AMP my entire life, but I sure as hell won't be sticking with Resolution now that they've shown how utterly incompetent they are. Avoid them at all costs.

I have been given good telephone service, with follow up emails as promised. I have more than 1 Life Insurance policies with Resolution Life, taken out with AMP 50 years ago. I recently had a partial withdraw from 1 policy with helpful and courteous service from staff at Resolution Life. Show details
Closing a 25 year old super investment account. The transaction was duly performed quickly after all the applications and requirements were fulfilled. Apart from slow communications, I cannot fault the company despite all the poor reviews on this portal. Show details
Very happy – Very confused reading other reviews because my experience was just spot on! Customer service and their ability to do as I requested both professionally and efficiently was impressive! Thank you Resolution Life. Show details

Premium prices are exorbitant. Had Life Insurance cover for 20 years, nothing was explained in the original document, supposedly have an "adviser" who has not contacted me the whole time. Received current renewal notice and have made the difficult decision to cancel. With premiums going up substantially each year there's no cost/benefit of it… Read more
anymore....not paying $80k plus over the next 10 years. Based on my experience, AVOID.
UPDATE: didn't pay my latest renewal, didn't receive ANY contact from the company nor an "adviser" checking at any point prior to cancellation date if there was anything they could assist with. Proof there aren't any advisers.
Why did AMP transfer my super funds to a new company called Resolution Life? Why was my account selected? I had been with AMP for 40 years (their service was poor, unless you were willing to pay thousands of $$$ for advice). Unhappy with AMP, then they transfer my account to Resolution Life. No explanation why. I am now even more disappointed with… Read more
this branch or seperate entity. Again, why was I selected????? As a regular aussie who believes in big companies working for your money, I feel they have operated to fund AMP business goals. Last 12 months, REST paid $8000 on my $75000 super investment. Res Life paid $7000 on $171,000. Something wrong somewhere with AMP and Resolution Life. I believe they have lost thousands of dollars on where my final super could have been. I am 58, time to jump ship to better performing funds. Is this an actual plan by Res Life to implode????
Shocking customer service. Poor communication. No ownership taken in any part of the Life Claim process. Undue stress caused to my family in our grief of losing my Mother. Claims process drawn out over 4 months, on a standard small Life insurance policy. Avoid this company! Policy was rolled over from AMP, not our chosen provider. Show details

"0" Stars. Go elsewhere. My superannuation fund was transferred from AIA to Resolution Life (AMP) over 2 years ago. Echoing many of the reviewers on this platform, the communication from them were appalling. When you eventually connected with a staff member, they had no idea how to resolve your enquiry. For months I tried to obtain end of… Read more
financial year statements June2024 & June2025. I am still waiting. Out of pure frustration I would only receive a response if I gave them a 7 day ultimatum, stating I would escalate my grievance to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority. They responded with a lot of "sorries", "we are working hard to integrate your fund to Resolution Life". Two years down the track, no statements, same appalling service. Once I found out who Resolution Life were, I had no hesitation consolidating my fund to a new provider. I couldn't be happier.
I have issues with this company since they bough out the old one. I want to give them a 0 actually, but can't. Each reps that I talked too, provided different answers to one policy. They never send out any communications or can't tell me on the phone of why my policy lapse every 2 month when I paid ever single month over the phone. Never return… Read more
call when they tell me they would. When I ask my money back for the two months that they specifically told me, "We didn't applied the amount to your policy because it wasn't the right premium", they told me no. That's fraud. If you didn't apply it, you should return it. I decide to cancel my policy with them rather then going back and forth with headache.
Warning!! if you have superannuation with resolution lfe try to get it out ASAP. They either have poorly trained staff, and/or corporate polcies in place to block acsess to your funds. After a mismanged rollover attempt they proceeded to claim they had lost half of my super. Only when i indicated they 1 day defore i lodged a case with the regulator did they find the funds Show details
Disgusting service – On Feb 11, I decided to cancel my policy. I simply had enough & what do I care after I die. My premiums had always been paid by direct debit (meaning not so easy for the policy holder to stop payments), and I assumed the cancellation had been effected after my phone call & subsequent filing of the written confirmation. During the call, the… Read more
customer service rep asked me if I would reconsider, like to have a lower benefit, or have an agent contact me, and replied I had "no" to all. On Feb 18, the agent still disregarded and called anyway trying to change my mind. I stated I had already completed the paperwork and assumed as no further payments had gone from my account, the request for cancellation had been fulfilled, but was told the request had not yet been processed. To this I replied, "Then how the heck did you know to contact me when I have not heard from you since Resolution took over the policy?" Today, despite me not being the one to cancel the premium payments, I received a demand for outstanding payments + additional fees. I believe part of the problem is there appears to be a massive disconnect between the Aussie & New Zealand offices.
Run away from this organization and never use them again – Honestly worst experience of my life. I had insurance through my superannuation with AMP. Anyway these guys are that bad that even AMP doesn't use them as insurers for members any more because they are that bad at delivering a service it isnt funny but it is a deliberate ploy on their part. They lie regularly to you and it's part of the process in… Read more
making a claim. Most Aussies have this kind of insurance in their super and it's meant to be there as a safety net. Not once has this organization paid me on time and they've lied so many times they make the Royal commission into banking and financial services look like it was a pathetic joke. AMP well they didn't learn anything other than take all the dodgy employees and stick them in one new organization called Resolution Life. I paid that insurance for years and being honest all they did and have done has made me go: nah, never again. Which is what they want. They simply refuse to pay and making any payments to anyone is impossible because every month you'll spend hours on the phone to them begging to be paid.
Funds returned to Resolution Life as they failed to provide the bank for deposit of the funds with paperwork – Funds returned as they failed to provide paperwork to bank overseas and as such the funds had to be returned as regarded as money laundering. Failed to provide despite repeated requests to provide a direct contact for the overseas bank and myself the claimant a direct contact at Resolution Life. Causing unwarranted stress in delayed responses to… Read more
followup and requests for information. Still not resolved. Ongoing issue and funds still to be received. Recommend given the extreme poor work practices of Resolution Life potential clients find a better service. A pity a score of 1 to 5 stars is required as they deserve nothing but a ZERO score. Still not finalised 3 months after claim form was dispatched from Austria and constant emails exchanges and requests for follow-up have been sent. Effect on health is now being discussed with practitioners. Will be discussing the option is not resolved with a law firm that practices in Austria as well as Australia with options to file a complaint to both AFCA and ASIC. Interesting to note the number of negative feedback read here that I am not the only inherited client that Resolution Life has failed to adequately handle cases and complete claims for with minimum stress or need for intense follow up action. A company that should review it processes with more efficiency and one I will not be recommending to anyone. The policy should never have left the management of the Australian Government and Commonwealth Bank of Australia. The CLAIM IS STILL NOT RESOLVED. After more that 24 years of the funds I would like my funds now I am retired.
Still on going - got a response finally from Resolution Life but noting other reviews listed here… Read more
WORST experience ever – This is THE WORST company I have ever dealt with. Trying to cope with the loss of my mother and claim her Funeral insurance. Took 5 months to receive funds, they inverted… Read more
numbers in my bank details, tried to put the funds in twice. Never contacted me re the problems they were having. I was always phoning and emailing, given direct number to call for my agent. Every time I rang 'sorry she isn't available' Worst customers service, no information provided as to what was happening. I would NEVER recommend this company. Please steer clear. Added stress to an already stressful situation.
Spotlight on unethical behaviour – Income protection insurance claim has taken over 18-months. Their staff intentionally obfuscate, delay, and ask for the same documentation. Tactics like forensic accountant reports, factual interviews and then “detailed report writing” just extend their delays. It’s abundantly clear they want you to give up and just go away. Don’t let them beat… Read more
you! Liam Walsh from ABC Investigations is looking into several delayed claims that are being unreasonably held up. I encourage you to reach out to him.
Caveat emptor – I've had an investment with Commonwealth Financial Services for about 24 years. I am also another one of those people wondering why the administration of the managed fund was transferred to Resolution Life. I've always received my end of financial year statement in early August. The Tax statement is required to complete a Tax return. After… Read more
numerous phone calls finally received it in November. Statements for the managed fund use to be sent out every 3 months but have not received a statement since April 2024. You ring them and they tell you they are updating their systems and checking the accuracy of statements. It is now 6 months later surely the computer systems must be fixed by now!!! This company is a joke!!

I'd go broke if I ran my business like Resolution life does – I've been trying to get an acknowledgement of my signed intent to claim letter for my superannuation contributions for tax purposes from Resolution life since August. I've emailed them numerous times, rang them numerous times & even went to my bank to get them to call Resolution life in the hope that it would give Resolution life the kick in the… Read more
pants necessary to reply to my emails so I can then forward them on to my accountant. All to no avail. I don't see any other option other than to move my super fund money to a competent super fund business that actually makes an effort to resolve essential matters
Tax statement late – Still waiting on my tax statement for a managed fund and it’s October. Just ridiculous. Have rang them multiple times and they just keep saying systems are being updated and they can’t provide a timeframe. Closing the account as soon as I have the statement. Show details
Avoid and look elsewhere – For 25 years I've had an Investment with Commonwealth Financial Services but for some absurd reason they transferred the administration of the fund to Resolution Life. I've always received my end of financial year statement in early August. I rang Resolution Life today and they don't have a date when they'll be sent! Apparently they're updating… Read more
computer systems, could be September, who knows. Just not good enough. Unfortunately Resolution Life have also taken over Commonwealth Bank Superannuation and dealing with them over the phone is shocking. I turned 60 last year and was expecting something to tell me about what I can access. Rang them and no real help. Reading through these reviews I think my nest egg is in real danger.
August 2025 update, they still haven't got their act together. I just rang them for a time frame on the end of year financial statements and they still don't have any idea when they will be issued. I told them I need the statement to complete my tax which is due 31 October and I just get told, oh.........
Sham of a company – This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The so-called portal is useless never seems to be working, always down due to some sort of maintenance. I lost my wallet early this year and the direct debit account needed to be updated, I did this by speaking to a consultant as the portal (surprise surprise was out of service), all good I thought… Read more
until I received a notice of potential cancelation if the arrears aren't paid, as I explained to the consultant I have updated the account, It turns out their end hadn't updated banking details and because of this the account was now over $2k overdue and if I don't pay the account will be cancelled. They admitted it was their mistake but too bad, no apology or waiver. Needless to say, after 25 years and goodness knows how much we have paid into it I have moved providers. Disgraceful company. The worst.
Accounting systems chaotic – Their accounts systems is chaotic. I have to send them copies of bank statements that show my policy has been paid. Keep a close record of every payment you make to this company. You can't rely on their accounting systems. Show details
Disgusting Crooked Company. its still the bent AMP with a new name – This company is crooked, fraudulent, 100% dishonest. Do not under any circumstances invest money with Resolution Life because you will have to fight to get your money from them. They just fob you off in the hope that you will give up. I tried to get my 30 year old superannuation fund transferred to another fund. Incredibly, 6 months later they… Read more
have not transferred my money, every phone call they make some excuse. The latest excuse is my superannuation is being looked at by their Investigation Team. Why? Cant tell me. When is the investigation going to be concluded. Cant tell me. The long and short of it they have my money and i don't think they have any intention / desire of releasing it. Absolute crooks. As has been mentioned in many other reviews the service is truly woeful, you wait for hours to be connected, when you do get connected with a representative they cant help, they go off to speak to another person, you wait another 20 minutes to be told they cant help you. Most of the representatives cant and don't speak English well so you cant understand what they are saying. Stay away from Resolution Life.
Poor communication and death claim process – Trying to deal with resolution life is very frustrating, communication is poor, phone service has apology for delays, up to 10 days for them to respond, ridiculous, same apology message for delays has been there since I started to deal with death claim, beginning of May. Taking weeks dealing with death claim, i wonder if delays are as long for… Read more
those trying to take out a policy, I suspect not, other wise they would have no business!! Poor souls who answer calls are polite, however they cant answer questions just email for someone to call you back. Extended delays, blah blah.... Have had to deal with two other supperannuation providers in similar circumstances for death claims , they couldn't have been more supportive and the process was straightforward and timely.
Terrible – Rude and racist customer service representatives. I called to enquire about my policy and the lady who answered was very short with me and when I would enquire about further details or clarifications would ask why I am even confused in the first place and that it's very simple and I didn't need to call for this. And made racist jokes about my name. Please train your staff better. Show details
