All it is up to you – I just tell what I experienced with Rinnai 315 litre WM (315 litre 30 Tube Stainless Steel electric boost) solar hot water system. It is up to you to decide whether it good for you or not. I got Rinnai 315 litre WM (315 litre 30 Tube Stainless Steel electric boost) solar hot water system installed in June 2017 and it looked good at start. Less than one year, two tubes were damaged and they got replace without any cost to me. After 5 years, it could be earlier, I found out the solar panel on the roof were wrecked. It seem the pumper had not been working for a while but there was no indication anywhere except climbing up to the roof and check.

Waiting an authorised plumber to come for around 10 days. Less than 10 minutes checking. Here is the official charge:

$225.01 Checked over Rinnai solar hot water . Found manifold is faulty possibly caused due to sensor wire being broken. Quote: to supply and install new manifold, tubes and sensor wire with conduit $2900 installed.

After several weeks later, (affected by COVID). the labour cost of the panel replacement:

Replaced manifold, 30tubes and sensor wire under warranty. Tested and all working well. $567.95 labour.

Just hope it would last for 10 years.
