Finally got rid of the gas! Heat pump works great
Hot Water Heat Pump 270LWe have only had the iStore heat pump for a couple of days. It works great - the fan only runs for a very short period in the morning and hot water is available all day. Ambient temperature was 22 degrees and even with the heat pump being positioned on the south side of the house in the shade it was hardly on. I don’t know how long it will have to run in winter to heat the water up but I am sure it will be ok. With the windows closed you can’t hear it so noise isn’t an issue for us.
The price included removal of old gas continues hot water heater, electrics, etc.

It was with some trepidation that I replaced our 28-year-old Gas hot water with the iStore 180L heat pump.
After some initial issues with the water temperature - it was too hot - I emailed the Istore Melbourne and Karl Jensen came over immediately, adjusted the tempering valve, and now I have hot hot water as needed. Such amazing service!
As I have a solar PV system I use the timer function and its set to come on between 11am to 4pm, but usually it only runs for about 2 hours.

Great Value Heat Pump Hot Water System
Hot Water Heat Pump 270LInstalled by JR Gas and Water in Brisbane. Currently running on Eco mode, during our solar production hours only, water is much hotter than our old gas system. Had a cool, cloudy day last week and the water was up to temperature all day and still hot the following morning, without boosting at all overnight. Impressive looking unit, situated next to my pool pump and is less noisy, so haven't noticed any noise. Great price and service from JR Gas and Water, ordering was all online, very efficient. Joshua and Brandon arrived on time, did a neat and tidy job and removed all waste, including our old system. Very happy!

Must have heat pump
Hot Water Heat Pump 270LI recently had this system in installed by jr gas& water what a great job. The heat pump looks great and works great it’s a lots quieter than I thought. I believe the heat pump will help keep my costs down i so happy that I chose the istore Air to energy heat pumps.

Does the job!
Hot Water Heat Pump 270LVery happy with the product and the install by JR Gas and Water. Installation was quick and the unit itself is better than expected. I thought it would run for hours, but it doesn't it gets it to the right temperature then turns off. Seems like it uses very little energy which is great.

SAVINGS EVERYDAY with Istore 270
Hot Water Heat Pump 270LJust recently had our old Electric Hot Water system replaced by JR Gas and Water. The IStore270 Heat Pump Hot Water System has saved me 4kW to 4.5kW of electricity EVERY SINGLE DAY. In combination with our solar timer in the sunny Queensland weather, we have managed to sell more energy back to the grid adding more to savings. With low energy consumption of around 1kW when running, even cloudy weathers would be enough to run it just on solar alone for sufficient solar equipped homes. We are a family of 3 and the unit has exceeded our expectation. Excellent workmanship and ease of navigation on website to get a quote in just minutes. I fully recommend JR Gas and Water and has already done so to my collogues and friends!

We had a iStore 270L, during the night it's using electricity and cycling approximately every 10 minutes,. Is this it's normal operation?
We had a iStore 270L fitted a few days ago, we have Solar panels. Can we use Eco mode and set a timer? What is the best time to operate pump to use Solar, we live in Melbourne? Thank you
we set the timer to run during the day, runs for a couple of hours at most, still have plenty of night hot water
Thanks, we set timer 1 to come on at 10am and go off at 16.01pm. The unit is using grid power during the night, the fan isn't operating, is that normal?

About iStore Air to Energy
The iStore Air to Energy solar hot water system offers an alternative to electric or gas energy. Its air-to-energy technology creates heat from compression, which is both energy efficient and economical.
iStore makes two exciting estimates: firstly, that you’ll save $950 a year compared to paying for a gas or electric hot water storage system; and secondly, that prolonged usage can reduce carbon emissions by up to 4 tonnes.
