The worst service ever, i bought a VBR 3 during Black Friday, a week after i asked them the ETA, she respond, "it will leave the warehouse in 1 or days, fews days after, i contact them again because i haven't received any rack yet. She is asking me what product am i talking about. And then, told me it is out of stock and i could maybe have it 6… Read more

I purchased a Rola roof rack setup recently, and while the tray itself was alright and generally worked as expected, everything else about the experience has been a headache. First, the product information was incorrect. Only after receiving the items did I discover that the cross bars were actually incompatible with the tray — something that… Read more

should’ve been made very clear upfront.

What made things worse was the terrible customer service. They offered no real help and acted as if they were doing me a favour just by responding. It took days for them to even begin figuring out how I could return the product, and even now I’m not confident I’ll see my money back.

Overall, this has been one of the most frustrating purchase experiences I’ve had. Avoid at all costs.

Very bad – Never buy from this company. I brought tub racks, they sent them to the wrong state blamed the courier when it was proven they made the mistake told me they would have it sorted and back to me within 2 weeks. Wrong again. Items lost. Sent second kit of racks after confirming correct address they sent them to the wrong state again. I thought this… Read more

must be a joke, no one is this bad. Wrong again. Requested a refund. A week later I checked in with them. Still no refund. They will answer your emails quickly with the answer you want, however wrong they are. I can’t help but laugh at how bad this company is. The courier company were the only ones telling me the truth.

Couldn't do it – Useless company . Orderd a set of roof bars for my Subaru XV through A1 roof racks ( Who have been excellent by the way) Showed in stock dispatches within 1-3 days , have been told by Rola 6 week wait. No discount or good will. It's easy ,don't advertise if you cant deliver . Totally messed up my holidays. Got to stuff around with wife's car… Read more

Rola Titan Tray MK 3 and Initial frustrating customer service – Had a bad experience with support , incorrect information and knowledge, after a week Customer support reached out to me and have been helpful, I thank them for that but it should not have been this way, information severely lacking and incorrect initially, Thankyou Rola…… EDIT AGAIN, after ROLA Sales Manager finally contacted me he made a… Read more

promise to get back to me, this has not happened, I still do not have any confirmed information, any questions to Rola’s sales team have only been met with “I believe so” “it should do” “not sure” when I have asked for accessories being suitable for the new Titan tray, not once a definitive answer has been given, and now they do not even return contact, my newest issue is the optional side rails for Titan tray are listed for Mark2 tray, I have the New Mark3 and there is not one Roofracks company that sells and fits these ROLA items that say these side rails will fit , all have said a straight up “NO THEY DO NOT FIT THE TITAN3 they are incompatible including the templates”, ROLA still say “should do with only a Sales Manager saying yes and no longer responding, ROLA A LONG STANDING GOOD PRODUCT LET DOWN BY “no idea zero care” sales people and non existent customer service, after 3 weeks of pure frustration I’m taking everything back to the shop and leaving it at the front door (already told no refund will be offered as they were special order from the seller , $2000 worth of product bought after research was done and total misleading or non existent information was given. Customer service, information, product details and knowledge non existent

Ford Cmax roof rack for kayaks – This rack is so solid. Easily handles the weight of two kayaks. Absolutely no flex in the rails. Mounting brackets are perfection. 1 year update: The rack has held up beautifully. Still looks like new. Show details

Zero Communication, for 3 weeks and Counting – I ordered a roof rack directly from Rola three weeks ago. I did not receive any confirmation that my order has been shipped, so after a week I rang them. I was told by the rep that they would look into my order I would be sent an email, which I did not receive. I chased them up a second time and was told I'd get a call, which never happened. The… Read more

third time I rang and mentioned this, the rep did get back to me with an email, saying my order would be shipped out on Monday after the weekend. No email was sent. I was getting pissed off when I made call #4 and was again told I'd receive a call back one they chased it up with the warehouse. Here I am waiting for my roof rack I needed a week ago for a 4wd trip, and it feels like these clowns have made 0 progress actually shipping it! They can't even tell me what the delay is, so they are either lying to me or have major communication problems internally. This is the first and last I order anything from Rola.

Terrible product and terrible customer service – Ordered roof racks for a 100 series Toyota. They arrived missing vital pieces. So had to wait another 2 weeks for the parts to be sent out. Installed as per the manufacturer's instructions. As soon as the vehicle was in the rain there was major leaking into the front footwells. Had to use silicone to seal up myself, as the seals provided and… Read more

instructions are absolute rubbish. Called Rola about this and was told I would get a partial refund, which I thought was fair. And then never heard anything back. Called them and was told I hadn't been forgotten about, that the refund was still going to happen and that they were just waiting for a manager to get back. Then again they went quiet and then when I emailed asking what was going on, they told me there is nothing wrong with the roof racks and that I would not be getting the partial refund. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don't waste your money. Get a better product.

OK product let down by terrible customer support – I purchased the Rola titan tray as a much cheaper option than the rhino equivalent. This tray requires assembly which turned out to be manageable. However I discovered that the channels in the Rola tray are shallower than in most other trays, and some of the parts I've subsequently purchased for the tray don't fit with the supplied captured… Read more

nuts, as the nuts are often too thick. I ordered a few nuts and bolts from the Rola website just over two weeks ago to fix this problem, and heard nothing more. Two weeks later I rang them. The person I spoke to had me on hold for 10 minutes then said she would find out what's happened and call me back. There was no call back. I then got an email saying that my parts had been shipped - no explanation for the long delay, or apology. I won't be rushing to buy anything more from Rola.

Rola Platform Tray excellent - Side rails are garbage – Initially bought tray - only to find that 48hrs after arrival - they went on sale at 25% off. Can't help bad luck apparently. Then i found they were doing a clearance on the side rails. $50 instead of $140. Tray look good, so got the rails. WRONG. No wonder clearance line. Dont even think about tying anything to these rails, they are only meant to… Read more

be for looks not function. The lock down points are soft plastic. Shame that Rola tarnishes a great item with junk accessories. Will be taking rails off and dumping them as i think are a safety issue.

Poor Design and Difficult to Install – Replaced an old set of racks on my VW T6 and fitted two sets of kayak cradles , once installed they looked good and I would expect them to be quite durable. However, I would rate these racks poorly because of the poor design resulting in difficulty of installation. The set up I purchased required eight bolts to be tightened. Of these only two… Read more

were easily accessible the rest were located behind other parts of the rack and were very difficult to tighten. The Alyn key with pin provided was cheap and poorly fitting. The poor access to the bolts meant that the tightening had to be done at about one eight of revolution at time, very time consuming, and on most occasions the Alyn key would slip from the bolt because it was a poor fit.

Easily comes off roof by slightly hitting underside – Bought roof rack for Hyunda Tyson 2015 Registration number added to rola roof rack site found the roof rack for my car. Apart from very difficult to put together, when tightening rack on roof it slowly moved up.Nothing to clamp the rack attaching brackets to roof rails. In the end could easily lift the rack off the roof when it was fully tightened… Read more

up.. Got my refund less $10 and getting a genuine product fitted that use the attachment holes in the cars roof rail. Why wouldn't you go for that option. Fancy the issue I would have doing 110kph and the load and roof rack coming off due to poor design by Rola

Simple install – I just fitted Rola racks to my 2014 Renault Koleos and it was a breeze. As long as you follow the instructions they're clear, have sufficient information & are easily followed. Everything fitted like a glove & they look great. Couldn't be happier with them. Great quality & looking product. Show details

Absolutely appalling customer service – I purchased a Rola roof rack and when I got it home discovered that there had been a mistake by Rola and wrong part provided. Hence could not complete building the rack. Rang Rola. They said they would courier part but I had to go to where I bought it. This was Supercheap. They were fantastic. Rola however then decided that they were going to… Read more

provide no support or assistance and I was told I would have to drive 2 hours to the store that was closest that had one in stock. Then they rang the store I bought it from and said we are not going to help at all. I am just floored that they can behave like this and find it ok. The store hunted in their storeroom and found they had a damaged box and were able to give me the part I needed. Super cheap we’re amazing. Rola? Well as long as my butt points to the ground they will never get another cent from us.

Far too expensive for how difficult they were to fit – The young guy from Super Cheap Auto helped me get the boxes of parts that suited my vehicle. $430 later... I got home to discover the kit contained literally dozens of little bits and pieces that clicked into other pieces that were meant to be screwed to various other bits and pieces. Took a couple of hours of fiddling and adjusting but I… Read more

finally got them on the roof and adjusted. The adjustment 'lugs' have scratched the black paint on my roof rails back to bare metal in spite of them having a cheap plastic coating to prevent that from happening.

Aside from whistling a bit while driving they do support our canoe so as a roof rack they are okay. But given the high cost and the awful time I had fitting them I would not recommend.

Meanwhile my mate bought a set of no branders off eBay for $120. They came in 3 bits per rack, took him 10 minutes to fit and they seem great. This should have been my experience for the price I paid for a brand name roof rack.

Go figure.

Racks for Series 7 Golf. Don't!! – Terrible; just awful. Fiddly, too many small plastic parts to break and don't fit neatly at all even after several attempts at adjustment.

Horrible – Cheap plastic crap! Too expensive for the quality, didn't fit well at all and the instructions are useless and don't explain anything. Would not recommend these roof racks.

BMW 325ci sports rack – Purchased the racks in store at Super Cheap Auto. They are poorly designed, do not fit well at all and look like they are a generic style to fit a wide range of cars. Probably the worst fitting rack that I have ever purchased over a 45 year motoring career for over 60 varieties of car.

Fiddly and expensive – Extremely fiddly to assemble. All comes together reasonably well after assembly but just too fiddly. Lots of small plastic locks etc that very easily snap off with the amount of force required to put the product together. Fitting to vehicle depending on type was reasonably easy but does not fill me with confidence thinking my kayaks will be safe. … Read more

The fiddliest product I've come across for that price. If you're going to spend $200-300 you don't expect to (and shouldn't have to) deal with any design flaws.

Just not impressed. Won't be recommending to anyone and depending on how the kayaks go today, I could be sending them back.

Once fitted up exactly per detailed nstructions: Wonderful – Racks were for a 2013 Camry. Instructions were incredibly well detailed. Hint: follow the instructions to avoid compromise. Once I had fitted and removed a few times, became very proficient at removal and install. Once one is familiar the fitting/removal is under 4 minutes. Do mark which is front and which is rear, (different centre spacing)and I… Read more

placed small pointed reflective silver marker to show exact location at each side for front and rear, inside door well, no point in guessing.

These racks are the most robust and rigid that I have had in 20 years.

Wind noise when properly fitted is OK, but I only fit them when I need them.

Rola Multi fit Sports roof rack(extended) for my 2014 Kluger – Purchased extended racks for tying off loads, they were easy to install, however, I had serious wind noise from 80Kmh and up. Rang Rola direct, and they are sending me a replacement set of extended end supports. Apparently there was a design issue that has now been resolved. I will wait and try, as they seem great, but noise is unacceptable. Customer Service from them was excellent. [name removed] was great.

Unbearably noisy and non existent customer service – Bought a set of Rola racks for my 120 prado. They are fitted properly, but the wind noise starts at 60km/h and by the time you get to 100km/h it sounds like you have a jet engine on the roof. Took them back to the shop where I brought them who told me they needed to submit a warranty claim with Rola to get authorisation to refund them. 2 weeks… Read more

later and Rola still haven't got back to the shop.

Rola "extended" bars come up short! – Bought these to fit T31 Nissan X-Trail after using Rhino equivalent on previous T30 X-Trail. Quality of design, finish and hardware is very good and instructions easy to follow. While specs are similar to Rhino brand, and they were considerably less expensive, shorter length (effectively 1150mm compared to 1275mm) was disappointing for the… Read more

extended design, offering very little if any advantage over the shorter streamlined bracket design. The whole point of ordering extended end bars is to tie off easier on loads, especially on higher vehicles and also utilize the extra width. I commonly carry 2 rather wide kayaks. Secure lock design on roof mountings, Aero shaped bar relatively quiet at freeway speeds. Black finish suits black trim on my vehicle. Extended bars not long enough.
