motors themselves were replaced free. That clearly shows the new owners accepted and honoured the warranty at the time.

Now, with the exact same failure happening again, they’ve suddenly rewritten history.

Instead of standing behind the work they themselves carried out in 2020, they are now claiming:

“That wasn’t warranty work.”

“We didn’t honour the 2017 warranty, even though we replaced the motors for free.”

“The warranty belongs to the old ABN, not us.”

“Pay us $600 per motor if you want it fixed.”

The backpedalling has been unbelievable. Their emails are full of excuses, contradictions, and finger-pointing — anything to avoid taking responsibility for work they already acknowledged and acted on once before.

What should have been a straightforward warranty matter has turned into an exhausting runaround where the company argues more than it helps. Instead of customer service, I got long defensive lectures trying to justify why they suddenly don’t want to honour obligations they previously accepted without issue.

This is not how a reputable business behaves.

A company that: ✔ honours a warranty once, ✔ then denies it existed, ✔ blames a previous owner, ✔ and tries to charge $600 per motor…

…is not a company I would ever trust again, and I strongly recommend others avoid learning this the hard way.

Do not waste your time or money with this business. The inconsistency, the excuses, and the refusal to stand behind their own work say everything you need to know.

Poor services and doggy warranty business – After a year of installation of new Roller shutter, out of no where, the motor stopped working and caused my safety switch power off all electrical service Roller shutter come out, investigated and replaced the new motor and charge me $500.00 (almost half the new roller shutter I installed last year). through the motor where I can see no water marked on the roller shutter or motor. motor should come with 5 year warranty, however, they advised not cover by water leak What a crap services and doggy business warranty. Beware and stay away of this vendor.

Quality is shocking – We had our whole house fitted in 2016, we've had nothing but issues, the quality is shocking, peeling, apparently under new management so warranty isn't valid anymore. Fail to uphold warranty obligations – Fail to uphold warranty obligations. My shutter is falling off the wall. It is still under warranty. They want $180 to fix it. Steer clear of this company. Good unless something goes wrong. Show details

Change of owners so can’t fix – Be careful seems like it’s one of the companies that changes owners so warranty doesn’t fall on them and need to charge you a large call fee because of this change. Show details

Be thorough before workmen leave – Late January/early February 2018 had 3 Roller Shutters installed by Roller Smart Shutters. Shutters do as intended and so far without any problems. However , one of the installers dropped a screw on my lawn. I went to mow my lawn and did not notice the screw. plate and blades. This of course meant a trip to the repair shop. I contacted Roller Smart and informed them of the problem. According to management so long as I could prove the screw came from them and I provide them with a photo of damage they would be prepared to contribute to cost of repair. This I did and management agreed to contribute. Several emails back and forward and as yet (May 2018) have not seen any contribution.

good the company are when quoting. I felt that there was no pressure, the price (which was excellent) was given to me and I took a day to decide with no issues.

Some of the reviews I’ve heard about the sales tactics of other companies in this industry are disgusting and I encourage you to avoid companies like this and go with RollerSmart.
