THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!!! fine, 3 were incorrect fabric and of those 3, 2 had fabric print running in the wrong direction.

Also when I asked for a feature upgrade to Bluetooth function I was told this was not possible - even though their website shows this. To not slow up the promised pre-christmas install I didnt push this. The sales rep [Name Removed] was wrong on this as the installers told me its a simple additional box which is what I wanted and wanted to pay the upgrade for.

Well this took months and months of chasing to get the incorrect blinds sorted with the sales rep [Name Removed] kept on telling me there was nothing wrong. And then saying that they were emailing me and calling me and I was not returning their calls - well maybe if you looked at my details on my order and all my emails and phone calls you would realise that they were contacting the wrong person. The weeks of this arguing and I had to get this escalated further to [Name Removed] actually realise that they were wrong and contacting the incorrect person which incorrect details and blind order. The worst customer service experience from [Name Removed].

Also poor form from the production for using a fabric that I did not select and was also an obsolete range of fabric that is not suited to outdoor and also poor quality as it was all loose.

Well I was promised from [Name Removed] beginning Dec that this would be sorted by Christmas 2025. They told 2 weeks later now not possible, will be end Jan first off the production. Chased again Feb 2026 and told 2 weeks. Chased again March 2026 and finally happening. Well 17th March install came AND THEY WERE STILL WRONG!!!!!! I was promised it would be resolved in 2 weeks, its now 30th April and I'm still chasing for the 2 correct blinds to be installed.

I regret using them and warn others not to!!!!!!

The only good experience I had were the installers - 5 stars to them!

We are very pleased with the whole process from measuring, to ordering online, to installing our full blockout honeycomb blinds, type Palma and colour Steel. DIYblinds made measuring easy with their measuring guide and help with installing with a video. The only issue I had, was that I couldn't get the bar that holds the blind to rotate forward… Read more ·  1

It turns out the solution was to move the left hand top bracket about 1 cm to the right, it turned out that the bracket was hitting a plastic support bridge inside the top cavity of the holding bar's up/down mechanism (our up/down cords were located on the left of the blind). After relocating the bracket the blind rotated forward and with a firm push upward clicked into place. The second blind install was a piece of cake, having learnt this trick.

Now to see how well they perform blocking sunlight and heat, but first impressions seem very encouraging.

For anyone that needs darkness during the day to sleep, these blinds are amazing, on a bright sunny day outside, the room was so dark that lights needed to be turned on to see!

Nightmare experience. Good luck if you have any issues getting timely or acceptable customer service when it goes wrongly, and be careful not to be mislead by their advertising. Do not believe blinds listing "complete light blockout and privacy" - they're talking about the fabric NOT the blind as a whole. The bracket system when sold as 'recess… Read more

fit' means no privacy at all down sides*. Apparently it's completely acceptable to promote a blind that allows anyone to see in the room by the window edges. False advertising, misleading product and they have no interest in customer once the purchase is made. They'll send you 2-3 FAQs deep to try and cover themselves, while taking weeks and months to get back to you. Bought 5 blinds and couldn't use any of them (some not even right size). Wish I'd read all the reviews before ordering. Never again.

*Interestingly since I took this officially further with my CC company, they updated the website images and warnings when ordering but still use the misleading terms. But, the size of the gap exceeds their suggested "approximately 15mm", and the base rod and then fabric are each narrower still!

Curtains delivered with incorrect measurements as supplied. Ordered double curtains and disceprencies in lengths between curtains. Ordered off the floor finish which states a 5-15mm gap and delivered with a 70mm gap. Terrible customer service, spoke to representative Hong who was passive aggressive in emails and after requesting to speak to someone else this was denied.

with full payment on 18 July. I opted to pay extra to have DIY (i) measure my 2 windows as they were very wide and needed 3 blinds each and (ii) to install the blinds when ready. DIY advised production would take 2-3 weeks. That's where the good experience ended. Not 3 but almost 6 weeks later (27 August) my blinds were ready to be installed. When the installers arrived, they could only mount 4 of the 6 blinds and advised their measuring person had incorrectly communicated the dimensions to the factory and 2 of the 6 blinds and both facia would have to be redone - max 7-10 days. Twenty one days later, still no blinds. I contacted DIY on 17 September and they advised my reworked blinds and facia were lost - but they would fast track production of new ones. I asked for compensation for the delay and mismanagement of my order - they declined. It's 10 days later and not a sign of the fast tracked blinds or any comms from DIY. I can't speak for the product as it's been an incomplete job so far but, apart from the responsive sales team, the balance of my experience with DIY has been hugely disappointing. I wouldn't use them again.

 Follow-up  · DIY eventually remade and installed the two blinds and facia which weren't manufactured to correct measurements the first time around. The installer brought the new pieces with him and this time they were correctly made. He was very experienced and the blinds have been installed well. two. They took only 15 mins to do each one. Even with that cost ($40 per blind) it's much much cheaper than the alternative.

correction. I was told that the correction and redelivery could take between 2 to 4 weeks.

Then I waited for the collection and then when the courier came to collect it and found out that I was given an incorrect delivery label which again delayed the collection. By now it was already 2 weeks was passed. When I asked why the collection is taking this long they said the courier advised they attempted collection but someone was at home all the time and three weeks was passed just waiting for collection at home and they were advising to leave the package outside and that usually the courier comes on Wednesdays and Fridays.

It was raining heavily and we could not leave the blinds outside because at this level of customer care I wouldn't be surprised if it gets wet and damaged it will be on us.

Also the biggest red flag was either they did not want to share their hotline or they do not have a hotline. When I asked to give their hotline they kept giving courier or someone else's numbers. Their only method of communication is via email and you will be lucky if you get a reply within a day.

I'm surprised this is having 4.9 rating with this level of customer service and after care. So altogether just to arrange a proper collection it took them one month so I decided I will get it fixed myself and did it. If this is the best you can do you might as well send a glue as well with the blinds so in case if this happens you can give how to get it fixed by the customer themselves same as your other DIY instructions.

Some blinds were rolling to the sides and they were saying sometimes the windows are not square but the windows were perfectly square and instead it was the blinds that was not properly aligned which they gave instructions how to fix them, however this fixed that issue.

Adding to that their website is broken and once an order is placed you can’t view it and the page is broken to see what's happening with the order. After spending one month just for the collection I was not comfortable to leave it with them for another 2 to 4 weeks with this level of poor after sales service.

I wouldn't recommend to use DIYBlinds to anyone.

Small update, DIYBlinds reached out to me after I wrote this review and instead of collecting and correcting they offered to send me a new one with priority shipping, but this is after my frustration of not having it picked up for a month, then me going through how to fix it myself and buying stuff and getting it fixed myself in the end. If atleast they offered this when they were making mistake after mistake before posting this review, this review could have been the total opposite for them taking the ownership but its too late now to offer new blinds after i got them fixed myself.

Have recently received several vertical drape binds from Diyblinds. Delivery good, packaging good, no instructions. But one set I received were STUCK. Several phone calls , sent a video of the problem, arbitrary response. Blinds still stuck , useless!. Pay extra to ensure you get the CUSTOMER after sales SERVICE

This mob is useless. Avoid like the plague. They messed up my custom curtain rod installation FOUR times, including drilling into my expensive new windows, damaging them. Then they got the curtain length wrong. It took the TWO MONTHS to correct this as they apparently lost my curtains in their website. Their installers change every 5 minutes… Read more

Their product is mediocre and their service is the worst I've experienced from any company

Arrived 3cm narrower than we ordered so not blackout. Refused a refund despite us sending photo evidence. Very expensive for a custom fit blind to then get the wrong size anyway. Will stick to the cheaper Ikea ones and cut to size myself in future. Poor product and customer service.

my wall plus 90% curve at each end. I had to ensure the ends were exact as any error would mean they wouldn't be able to be mounted at all. Curtains arrived earlier than expected. Packaged great for transport so as not to damage curve railing. Installed myself and they fit like a glove. Watched their installation videos and although a bit 'cringy', they did give helpful tips. Have recommended to family and will use again if more curtains required.
