Disappointed already – I bought the lawnking and it's run poorly since I got it It seem the choke is permanently on and sooting up the plug from the moment it's switched on This NEW mower has only don6.7hrs work SURELY it shouldn't be doing this this early in its life shoul it??
Poor quality both product & checks by the suppliers – New Rancher 547/42 purchased 8 months ago, now has 25 hrs on the clock, main deck belt snapped, not worn anywhere, did not come apart at joint just snapped cleanly through. OEM replacement +52$, Kevlar replacement $25 with better fittment less vibration no squealing in reverse. Following weak battery failing, recharge 2 days later battery failed,… Read more
no warranty on the OEM battery only 3-6 months, Yuasa, usually very good batteries? New battery fitted $95, following day battery showing low charge, checked & found voltage regulatory fault drain battery continuously, disconnected & call company re warranty, mower is returning again for warranty & full electrical check, 3rd issue with this mower not a year old & very few hours use. What a total disappointment this has been. Any one purchasing this brand from China beware, Black & Decker the importers just send you back to the purchase point & don’t seem to care about customer service.
Nothing But Trouble – Bought this mower just under 18 months ago, now has 55 hours on it and it has been nothing but trouble. Having had Rover mowers for years on my 2 acre property down south, we moved up north and as I had not had any issues previously I purchased another. From early on the motor coughs and splutters, have already been through 4 air filters, 3 sets… Read more
of blades and had fuel filters installed as there was not one on there when I purchased it. Just got off the mower today as I got one lap of the yard (just over an acre and a half) before the coughing started then it stops with a big bang. Changed the air filter over (which has this slimy residue on it) and got another lap and a half done before it decided it had had enough and started its normal routine of spluttering and then stopping. As usual I had put new fuel in for the job, checked the oil and it actually seemed watery which is strange considering the mower is stored in a lockable shed. Have had issues with the belts deciding to slip off, no manual or instructions came with the mower so there is no guidance readily available. The dealership talk to me like it is all my fault despite the fact that I use mowers etc everyday of the week at work. Unfortunately it seems that I am going to be 4k out of pocket for this lemon as well as another 7k to actually go and get something more reliable.
Have to mention the seat, the mounts that are supposed to be attached to the seat were actually inside the seat and with it being a molded frame I had to dig around inside the seat with wire to get them out and attach them with wire so the mower could actually run. The battery too has been constantly on charge but according to the dealer there is nothing wrong when they test it, seems absolutely ludicrous that I can pay more for a service of this piece of you know what then my car that is worth a hell of a lot more.
Shame Rover shame, for such a distinguished brand for a long time to ignore my reaching out (and others by the sounds of it), to allow dealers to rip customers off for what is seemingly an inferior product is beyond belief.

FAUNA DOMINATOR – No problem starting. Steering is easy with good turning circle getting in and around my trees. Drives easily up the ramp onto the trailer. Cuts down the combination of grass and ground cover growth quite easily with little resistance. Don't see any issue with it but like everything if you treat it like a dog it's going to act like one. Very happy. Show details

Teething issues – Purchased two mowers in Bega February 8th. The dealer offered to deliver them next day and all looked rosy. Used the ride on for about 2 hours on level flat lawn and it performed ok. On second use cutting deck belt snapped when engaging the blades. I rang the dealer and was told they had the belts in stock and the price and to pick one up and… Read more
fit it. I asked how hard they are to fit and was told I have never done one so not sure. On second call mower is being collected and resolved today. A good outcome in service.
Poor preparation – Battery went flat after 4 starts, just said bring it in, over 60km round trip. Jump started it checked voltage not charging. As we bought two mowers i expected some help from dealer to pick it up maybe in a month or if we're out that way. Farmers center keith would not deal there again. Would not buy rover rideon again poor workmanship, very disappointed. Show details
