An absolute gem! – This is the best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. I chose it after a very long research, not only for its reviews, but for being so silent, and I wasn't disappointed. It's light, super easy to use, has great attachments. It's bagless, a real bonus, the lust reservoir is so easy to clean, and the same with the lint filters, of which it has a few… Read more

to protect the motor.

It cleans beautifully clean, removes more dust and all sorts of dirt/particles better than any other I've ever owned or used.

This particular model is discontinued, but I'm sure it would have been replaced by an even improved model.

Overheats from the start – I bought a Rowenta because it was aesthetically more pleasing and regret it. From day 1, the vacuum overheats and stops after 20 minutes of use. I have to wait about 40-60 minutes for it to cool down which is highly inconvenient in the middle of house cleaning. I got that fixed under the warranty but a few months later it just stopped working altogether again. Will never buy a Rowenta again.  Show details

Huge disappointment – The power head is complete garbage and tiny. It takes forever to vacuum a room. The 'power'comes from you pushing it! The body easily tips over and the canister doesn't seal properly causing you to lose suction. If we had the receipt still it would have been taken back long ago. We will never buy another.  Show details

Huge Dissappointment – I have 2 Rowenta Steam Irons that I am thrilled with so when they came out with a vacuum I was thrilled. This is the hardest I have ever worked to achieve such poor results. The power head with not even pick up sock lint. Total garbage. Feel like I have been taken in a bait and switch. Will never buy or recommend another Rowenta product because there is absolutely no consistency in quality of products.

mysterious shut off during use – wow this vacuume works awesome, when it is working. Ours, after the third use just shut off after about 10 min of use. Like it got hot or something. It would work again in a few hours. We tried keeping the filter clean and it still goes off. What a pain. we will work through the warranty first and see if it will be fixed. bits and parts, easy to clean, quiet and light wieght mysteriously turns off, or breaks down

Terrible – The turbo head will not work on any length of carpet. From short to medium to long it will immediately stop the second it touches the carpet. Every other feature of the vacuume is great but there is a serious engineering flaw in the turbo head. Unfortunately it's the main head I would need to use as my house is 75% carpet

So Frustrated! – I tested it in store and was amazed so I made the mistake of purchasing it. From day one the dust compartment fell out of the vacuum every time I tried to use it. I finally figured out that it was because the rubber ring that sits just above the dust container is too big and falls out every time I use the vacuum. Sometimes multiple times per… Read more

vacuum which is really great when I have to keep putting it all together and vacuuming up the dust piles over and over and over again!

So I just tried to figure out how to contact them to get a new ring to see that the only way you can contact them is via an email that is no longer working. Biggest waste of $550 ever!

Lasted three months – It was a great vac to start with, progressively lost power, then the turbo head started screaming.. Took it to a service agent who said - yep.. its not working properly - we would normally replace it BUT! Rowenta arent making vac's anymore. So we are chasing a full refund. Don't buy one! Great vac for the first two months Died after three months use on a single rug. Really bad service from Rowenta.

Awesome machine! – Quiet, effective and made me feel quite guilty about the amount of dust and hair we have lived with previously! I've had a wertheim for years that cost me about $1200. The Rowenta does a much better job! Yes it's a bit heavy, but I'm not carrying it around, found it very easy to use and has a great range of attachments! Boo's mum. posted on… Read more ·  1

Beyond my expectation – I got this vacuum cleaner as a gift and I couldn't wait to test how good this machine would be. I was impressed with its design then quiet operation. Well, Rowenta has advertised its quietness as one of key features so it ticks the box for those whom leaving in a unit or apartment. The most impressed moment was finding the amount of dust… Read more ·  1

in the storage component after cleaning through 3 bedrooms with carpet.

I vacuum once a week so I didn't expect to see that much fine dust.

I would strongly recommend this to anyone who consider to change to the bagless vacuum cleaner as it performs beyond expectation with Quietness and superior suction.

Only downturn I must have to say is that it's quite heavy and bulky, compared to Dyson. But I am very happy with Rowenta Silence Force. Silence and superior suction If have to mention it, it's a bit heavy

where did all the bugs go? – After using it for 3 months, it's good for dust and hair. But all the bugs that I've vacuumed into the machine, I never see them coming out. In fact, once they're in, I don't see them anywhere inside. Where are they? Are they rotting inside, or feeding on each other?

impressed – This was our third vacuum cleaner, tried LG, Samsung, and now the Rowenta. From the first try the machine was impressive. Quiet, with incredible suction. Our house is mainly timber, some tiles, and a large carpet. Cleans all floors well, after two duds this is a quality machine that ticks all the boxes. Quiet, excellent suction. slightly on the large side, but can put up with that because of how well it operates.

Disappointed – I was specifically looking for a vacuum that could pick up cat and dog hair in carpet, we had a dyson, but were willing to try another brand, the staff at Harvey Norman were great at explaining the features of this vacuum, and it sounded brilliant. But, at home the power head kept stopping, it gets clogged after every room, there must be, in my… Read more

opinion, a manufacturing fault in the operation off this head, hair gets caught too easily in the mechanics of the head, needing tweezers to unclog. I have returned this vacuum to the shop and am waiting for a refund. Quiet operation, except when using power head. Powerhead clogging frequently, small catcher which also can clog.

Love my Rowenta Silent Force Extreme Vacuum – Very hesitant at first, couple of issues I was very concerned about - first being the brand - i had never heard of this brand, and the second - being a bagless - i have not had a very good go with bagless vacuums (already had 2 in 2 years) where they loose suction and generally awful to use - after some research and deciding to go for the bagged… Read more ·  2

vacuum, off I went... once I got there (Harvey Norman - Launceston) I tested both the models and was then very confused!!! Bagged or Bagless? Poor sales lady :) she was lovely... I took half an hour asking questions and giving the models a run for their money... I then decided to wait and think about it.... went back to work and gave it some more thought - after research and seeing the 30 day money back guarantee - decided to give the bagless a go.... BEST DECISION EVER!! I compared it back at home with a borrowed, top rating vacuum which starts with a "D" and was so pleasantly surprised how much more smaller dust and particles the Rowenta picked up. I have now had it 2 weeks, put it through its paces - filling up the dust collector - to see how much this affected its suction, analyzing collection room of each room individually, and am so happy that i took the plunge and bought this cleaner - I see I am going to be very happy with it for years - and the 2 year warranty just gives me more comfort knowing I made this decision - hope this helps others choose their vacuum. Everything- Best thing it is sooo quiet and sucks the smallest particles <3 Have not faulted anything!

amazing machine – Wasnt sure what to expect as I'd never heard of this brand before but i was pleasantly surprised. This vacuum is almost totally silent. I have two cats that molt alot, one run over the carpet when i got home almost completely filled the catcher. No more dirt in my home. very strong suction and no loss with a full catcher. whisper quiet. plenty of attachments. catcher may be a little small
