Feb 23/2/22, I received an invoice with all the details relating to my cruise in 2023.
At this time, cruising out of Australia was still paused due to the pandemic.
The deal offered was excellent, Balcony Stateroom 0% obstructed view + $400 OBC for 2 people at a total cost of $2898.34.
All of the above is documented in the initial invoice.
The required deposit of $400 was then paid and the following day, 24/2/22, a further invoice was received with the total balance showing $400 less following payment of the deposit.

We have cruised many times with Royal Caribbean in the past and I recently booked a five night cruise from Brisbane to Sydney and Eden NSW because we particularly wanted to go to Eden. Two weeks after making the booking and paying a deposit I received an email from Royal Caribbean telling me that the cruise would only be stopping in Sydney and not going on to Eden. I then asked Royal Caribbean for a refund of my deposit because they had changed the itinerary and they told me that it was a non-refundable deposit. So I asked them for a credit of ...
Read morethe deposit amount so I could book another cruise but they didn’t reply to my email request. I think Royal Caribbean were inflexible and unreasonable in my case and I would be very wary about booking another cruise with them after this experience.- Incentivised Review No
- Booked Through Cruise Line
Tried 3 times to book with Royal Caribbean and all attempts fell through, in the end they walked away with $3.5k of my money and I was told they can't do anything about it.
Attempted Trip 1: We flew to Sydney in November 2019 to start a trip around the Pacific Islands but were denied boarding as my partner had been sick a few days earlier. We answered the health questionnaire truthfully and the doctor thought she may sill have been a risk to the other crew members so were not allowed on the cruise. We were left stranded in a city we do not cal...
Read morel home with no plans or accommodation and told we couldn't have a refund, only a cruise certificate would be offered. Attempted Trip 2: Booked a trip to use the Cruise Credit mentioned above in Oct 2020, this obviously fell through with whole pandemic kicking off. Again no refund was offered, only an extension on the cruise certificate (Due to expire in April 2022 and for use before April 2023). Attempted Trip 3: Tried to book a trip for March 2023 using the cruise credit we have now carried for over 2 years and were informed by the company that children under the age of 1 are not allowed on cruises. My partner and I had decided to start a family and our child was only going to be 10 months old by the time the the cruise credit expires so again we were unable to book. Wrote a politely worded email to the customer service team asking for a refund or another extension after explaining all of the above and was still told sorry we can't do that. This is a pretty heartless company that should be avoided at all costs.- Value for Money

My wife and I have been on 30 cruises and with RCL we are Emerald status. We liked Voyager class (137000T), Sovereign of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas (90000T).
This ship is too large. But it doesn't end there. The main dining room is unremarkable and might fit well in a 1910 ship. Buried well down. So we tried casual dining. Unremarkable except for casual eats. We did notice two areas reserved for suite passengers on an upper deck but this was not available to our grade and didn't look special at all. So every time we could, we went to a ...

These guys will quickly take your money then never give it back. Cruise canceled due to COVID lockdowns. After 2 years we have only received a fraction of the refund. Avoid at all costs. This company stinks.

I have never dealt with a company worse than Royal Caribbean. I booked my first cruise in June 2019. Due to COVID it was cancelled & I rescheduled to another cruise for March 2022. This was cancelled in Aug 2021 & I was given the option of a full refund or a credit of a higher value to be used at a later date. I opted for the refund. What a joke that was. It is now 7 months since they said they would process my refund & I have not seen anything. I sent 3 emails & received no replies. Finally I got through to someone on the phone that was god kn...
Read moreows where in the world that said the refund was paid into my credit card that was used for the deposit. The problem is that card no longer exists. You can not process a payment or refund to an expired or invalid card number. They now insist I need to contact my bank. I have done this & the banks response was exactly as I expected, confirming they hadn’t received a refund & it isn’t possible for this to have occurred. Not once was I given the opportunity to provide updated details to receive my refund nor have they provided any documentation to support their claim that a refund has been issued & hasn’t been rejected by the bank. I am still pursuing this but don’t like my luck. Their cruises may be good but after the treatment I have received I will never ever consider cruising with this company.- Incentivised Review No
STOLE OUR MONEY
We purchased the travel insurance for a full refund and when we needed to cancel our trip we were fully aware we would lose the $175 in travel insurance, but they don't take that payment out until you pay for the cruise in full. This was not clear during the time of purchase.
So, I have to pay them over $6000 to get my deposit back minus the $175. Why would I pay them another 6 GRAND when I can't even get $400 back???
When we booked the trip we did not receive ANY receipt of purchase with information regarding our cruise. We ...
Read moregot one email telling us to create an online account. So we did that, and then there is ZERO documents to see the itemized receipt of what we have paid, where the money went, and what is the final balance. They don't show you that until you give them a credit card number...- Value for Money

Future Cruise Credits use by valid date never given by Oz cruising travel agency
December 2021 accepted offer for a Future Cruise Credit when Royal Caribbean cancelled our cruise.
Repeated requests to Ozcruising Travel Agency in Canberra ACT for the credit certificate was ignored.
Royal Caribbean Cruises email 13 August 2021 my future cruise credit is only valid until 30 April 2022.
With family cruises booked 20-27 March 2022 and 6 -13 May 2022 meanig we have five weeks to squeeze in a third cruise with Royal Caribbean or lose our cruise credit. I like cruising but not three in nine weeks.
We will never again book a cruise with a travel agent and never ever with Royal Caribbean.

arrived in our suite. mirror was obscenely dirty like so dirty you could not see yourself. called the cleaner he said it was condensation, called the manager who looked at it and said “oh wow i’ve never seen one as dirty as this , sorry ma’am i’ll ask your cleaner to fix it”
obviously cleaner was not happy that when we went out of our room he stole my sons expensive sunglasses that he left on the bed.
what made it more obvious he did it was he passed us in the hallway later that night and said is everything ok ? have i done the wrong thing....
Read more we were scared of him and worried what he would do to our items when not in our room that we had to lock all our belongings including toothbrushes away every time we left our room. it was a daily task and inconvenience. we never got the sunglasses back nor did RC care too much. this cleaner had the look of guilt on his face every time we saw him. back then you could request your gratitude not be on your bill when you paid at the travel agent. NOW a days you have no choice you pay gratuities all inclusive does not matter if you’re happy or not.- Value for Money

Rc suspended all port calls, refused refund except for a $53 credit. Threatened guests to be expelled from ship if you continue to complain about refunds.
Dishonest and unprofessional.
Don’t ever take this brand

Not really trustable. We cancelled our cruise after they announced we are allowed to do so for a full refund on 23th of March because of covid. They said it takes 6-10 weeks to be refunded and they even asked us for the bank details. If you have seen our money, we have seen it too!!! No one answers what is going on! The company says they don’t know anything as we are working with the agency, the agency says the company does not give them any answer. We have been charged for a service that we never received! Not doing it again and definitely saying to everyone who wants to make the same mistake.not recommended at all.
