I’m disappointed with how Rugs for Good handled their recent competition valued at around $360–$544 per rug. There was six winners, but the process wasn't run fairly. Multiple participants publicly raised concerns that two of the six chosen winners showed clear signs of inauthentic and manipulated engagement, and people even provided screenshots… Read more
and evidence in the comments to support this.
When one of the participants questioned the fairness politely, the entire competition post was removed, and there was no response from the owner, Jess. The deletion and lack of transparency felt extremely unprofessional and left a very poor impression.
This is especially surprising because Jess promotes Rugs for Good as an ethical, transparent, sustainable brand supporting children’s charities in India. Unfortunately, this competition did not reflect those values.
The competition should be redrawn properly, and the last two rugs should not be sent out until fairness and transparency are restored. One of the ladies tagging - Stephanie x was seen clearly tagging herself!!! on numerous times - how is that a fair competition?
Based on this experience, I personally refuse to buy from a company that appears to ignore clear customer concerns and allows questionable activity to go unchecked. My renovations are worth thousands, and I had planned to purchase from them — but not anymore. I encourage others to be cautious before buying or following this brand.
I am beyond impressed with my wool rug from Rugs For Good! The quality is absolutely incredible.. it feels so luxe and beautifully soft underfoot, and it has completely transformed my space. It adds such warmth and elegance that I honestly can’t imagine the room without it now. I’ll 100% be buying again and would recommend them to anyone looking… Read more
for something truly special. On top of that, the ethical side of the brand is pure and such a stand-out, it feels amazing knowing my purchase has a positive impact.
I recently purchased the Sedona Rug in Pearl from Rugs for Good, and wow — what a transformation! This rug has completely elevated my space. It’s incredibly soft underfoot, and as a mum of three young kids, I can confidently say it’s a lifesaver. The subtle raised texture beautifully disguises everyday mess, making it both practical and stylish. … Read more · 1
I was initially overwhelmed by all the options, so I reached out for help — and I’m so glad I did. Jess was amazing! She understood my vision and recommended the perfect rug for my mid-century inspired living room. It ties everything together so effortlessly. I couldn’t be happier!
High Quality, Timeless designs. Well worth the investment – Everyone comments on how lush our rugs are. I am a big fan and will shop here again. I went with two from the Slow Weave Collection because they’re ethically made, child labour free & woven by hand over months (rather than mass produced, sweatshop, cheap alternatives). The designs are timeless and best of all, my purchase helped change the… Read more · 1

Beware of the transport provided used by Rugs for Good – On the day of my delivery, Hunter Express sent me a message that delivery (a large and expensive rug) was on route. Hunter Express were seeking an authority to leave, which I completed advising them to leave the rug on a table on the deck of my home. A short time later, 10am, I received an email from Hunter Express advising that the delivery had… Read more
been made with photos of the delivery location and the authority to leave which read ‘Please leave on the table on the deck’. Their response was ‘Left at Gate’. Upon looking at the photos, they had left the rug across my driveway which is located about 150m from my house and up a steep hill. I contacted them immediately knowing that I would not be home that evening, and I had concerns that the rug was now left in the weather and available for anybody to see and take. At the same time I emailed Rugs for Good twice as there was no phone number available for them. I provided them all of the same information and requested that they immediately get in touch with Hunter Express as the sender to work out a solution and have the rug delivered to the correct location. The consultant I spoke with from Hunter made attempts for three minutes to contact the delivery driver at my request. I wanted the driver to return to the house and bring the rug to the specified location as I would have been physically unable to carry a rug of such a size up the hill for that distance. The consultant advised that because the driver did not answer the phone, there was nothing further that she could do to assist me but that she would make a report that the incident had occurred. I received a response from Rugs for Good around 3:40pm. They advised that they would get in touch with Hunter and have the driver re-attend my property to move the rug. When I returned home the following day I could see the rug was wet and packaging filled with condensation as it had been left overnight and then caught the morning sun. 20 hours after the email I received from Rugs for Good, no one from Hunter had re-attended and I was nervous the rug may sustain further moisture. I asked some tradespeople nearby to help me carry the rug up my driveway. I have had terrible experiences with Hunter in the past and moving forward, I will make sure to check with the supplier of any goods that I purchase to make sure Hunter Express are not the carrier. If you make a purchase from Rugs for Good, I suggest you carefully consider the transport carrier that they are using and the safety of your parcel. Contact with Rugs for Good was otherwise a pleasant experience and the quality of the rug looks to be as described.

BUYER BEWARE – BEWARE!!!! I purchased a rug which arrived on 12th April. It was a completely different colour to what was advertised online. I emailed them the day it arrived (i didn't even unroll the whole rug) requesting to return it. They didn't collect it until 3rd May.. it is now 21st of May and i have not received a refund and no one is responding to my emails!!!!
This rug has transformed my meditation practice – I would never have considered a rug as being an important or beneficial addition to a home, but after some gentle nudging from someone who clearly has a better sense of stylish practicality than I do, I finally succumbed and I’m so glad I did. The range on Rugs For Good’s website was extensive; and a little intimidating for a novice, and I… Read more
probably should have taken advantage of their free styling advice, but in the end I landed on a 100% New Zealand wool rug from their slow weave collection and it has been an absolute pleasure to sit on as part of my meditation practice. With hardwood floors I was always inclined to sit on the couch, especially in winter, but now I thoroughly enjoy time on the floor. It’s seriously comfy, way better than the yoga mat I used to use. And the fact my purchase helps a social enterprise support the weavers and their community makes me sit much easier as I enjoy the benefits of their hard work.
Will definitely be buying again – Six months ago I took a chance on a rug from Rugs for Good, and let me tell you, it was one of the best decisions! This rug has truly stood the test of time and it's still in perfect condition, just as plush as the day it arrived. Not only does it elevate the look of my space, but it's also proven to be incredibly durable, easily handling the… Read more
daily wear and tear without showing any signs of aging. The quality is just unmatched, and it's clear that Rugs for Good is a much better purchase than some other rugs i've bought from other companies.

Poor Quality and Terrible Customer Service – DISAPPOINTED Purchased a rug in Dec 2023 as a gift for a friend. I received the rug pre Xmas, inspected it and wasn't entirely happy with the quality. The rug was already tufting and sprouting in areas and the edge finish wasn't ideal, raw and already fraying in some areas. Against my better judgment I chose not to complain and proceeded with… Read more
gifting the rug. The rug is in a bedroom, under a queen size bed with one fifth of the rug extending beyond the bed frame at one end, and in a very low traffic area. After only 6 weeks my firend advised me that the rug had split (stitching had come undone) in one area. I sent an email to Rugs For Good on March 15, with images of the questionable quality. I didn't hear back and sent a follow-up email on March 19 and 2 further follow up emails before finally getting a response yesterday April 4. At no point did I requested a refund or a desire to return the rug, I was simply providing feedback and expressing my disappointment at the poor quality. Length of time and effort it took on my part to facilitate a response to my initial email only compounded my disappointment with the entire experience. I'm particularly dissatisfied with my purchase and overall experience with Rug For Good. I supported the business because I belive in the social initiative and brand ethos.
Full disclosure, I did purchased a rug from them back in 2022 which I am happy with. Saldy they have let themselves down terribly on this occasion, and I certainly wont be supporting them in future.

Quality and style! – Such gorgeous designs and beautiful quality. I purchased three rugs for my clients from RFG and am so pleased with the quality and style and would highly recommend! Free delivery too. Show reply
Different colour – I ordered the Parisa distressed floral medallion rug and the photos are a totally different colour. The photos presented warm, bright, earthy colours and the actual rug is an ugly grey/silver. I'm going to return it, which is a massive pain.
