today (13/8/2025) and I was absolutely disgusted with it. 26 years ago, when I came to Qld I had a Kambrook (I think), “cordless iron” which eventually “sucked a Kamara” so when I saw this RH cordless, I thought - great, and because it was the only one in stock, I purchased it for $20 less as it was a display model. Yes, I was told/asked about the use of a "cordless iron/vs normal" and said I understood because of the Cordless Iron I had used for many years until I dropped it. It was useless, it only stayed hot for a few seconds, and because it didn’t get hot enough to make "steam" the water leaked out. I have spent many many many $1,000’s at HN over the 26 years and I would have to say that this item should NOT even be an item they stock because seeing other “reviews” it’s a waste and is a bug negative for HN. UPDATE: Yesterday Friday 2 August I took my Russell Hobbs Cordless Iron back to the point of purchase, Harvey Norman, Bundall and voiced my disgust with this product and was attended to by a wonderful young Man [Name Removed] who was such a joy to talk with. After a short discussion he issued me with a Refund. I have to say that if Harvey Norman had more Staff Members like [Name Removed] who was polite and took the time to have a proper interaction with me then Harvey Norman's Customer Satisfaction with Service would increase hugely.

Fantastic the way I use it – Maybe people are not using this Iron effectively. Many complaints about having to put it back on the charger. Which makes me think how many people keep their iron in their hands the whole time they are ironing a shirt. If you put your iron down on the charger as you would normally put it down to move your clothes into the next position , it stays… Read more

hot. You don't need to wait until it says its ready to pick it up again . I might have it down from 2 to 6 secs at a time , it never beeps at me unless I am taking my time with something. Never have a heat problem or steam problem. Actually have to turn it down for some fabrics as its too hot on high. Only one little thing bugs me , I can't see the water level. This is the best Iron I have ever used .

Not impressed – I had to replace the iron to the base 4 times to iron my shirt. It added extra time to ironing….waiting for the iron to charge. About 15 to 20 seconds before the base started flashing red. Also struggled to get the wrinkles out of my clothes….even on high heat. So dissatisfying and disappointing….considering Russell Hobbs is normally a quality brand of products.

Disappointing purchase – The concept is great. Unfortunately it doesn’t retain heat, and spits black muck onto our clothes without warning. It’s done this since day one. I have flushed it out thinking it may have been some residue from production. It’s no better. I’m afraid I feel it was a waste of money! Show details

Disappointing – I bought a cordless iron to help declutter when sewing. I find it didn't stay hot long enough to even press a seam! The iron also drips into the base plate, and on to the bench. It does glide beautifully, but it's short charge time is extremely disappointing for the price. Show details

Disappointed in this product – I bought this iron and used it for the first time today. I have to say very disappointed as I only had a very short time before the base beeped 3 times and began flashing red. Im quite a fast moving worker and it took more than 4 times back on the charging station to iron one short sleeved T shirt. Then i found myself waiting for the green light… Read more

Freed from a cord but shackled by 30 second usage time – I purchased this today from The Good Guys: $99. Wearied by having to put it down to recharge so many times just ironing a shirt, I timed the usage and recharge time. Fully charged it only lasted 30 seconds before the recharge unit turned red and beeped three times indicating stop and recharge. The wait time till it turned green and flashed… Read more

indicating ready to go was 20 seconds. Ridiculous and time- wasting process. Makes little difference if you return it to the recharger while reposition a sleeve, et cetera. The increased time it took to took to iron outweighed any disadvantage of having a cord. Also, putting aesthetics ahead of practicality, the water reservoir is black like the body, and so it is almost impossible to see where the water level is when filling. Also, the plate is not the best. Seems to prefer slightly textured fabrics like linen; appeared to stick on the return glide with high thread count 100% cotton sateen sheet. I will ring Hobbs customer service and plan to return it for a refund tomorrow.
