1 Jeffrey L.  · Just no good at al – Brought two days ago used once not happy does not do a good job at all will be taking back to Bunnings for refund
1 Chevron  · Worst Mop Ever – The mop head remains extremely wet no matter how much you spin it to dry. It literally just spreads the dirt around.
4 Beet  · works well – user instructions not included worked out how to raise the spin spine to wring the mop not as good as a steam mop

Simply a really bad design! You have to almost fill the whole bucket with water to utilise the spin of the mop. A total waste of water. I never need to fill a bucket up. Usually only a kettle full of water. Not a well thought out design. I'm trying to avoid constantly bending and thought this would be a good choice-no, i have to remove and replace… Read more

that stupid middle thing to be able to wet the mop, then spin, just to save on a full bucket of wasted water.

Mop head should be improved – I’ve had this mop for over 4 years and it’s been ok to use. The bucket and spinning mechanism works fine and gets the mop dry enough to use. My only criticism is that the mop heads don’t clean that well because there isn’t any of the long microfibres on the actual middle centre part where the main pressure is applied to clean grime. Show details

Bad design! Why would you not make the mechanism in the Smart Spin Mop lower?! I need four kettle fills to even get the mop to sit in the water!! You could have made it much lower. Great concept but bad design of the spin mechanism. Can’t even use my longer mop heads with it. Otherwise love it. Show details

Awesome for wooden floors – I came to product review to check on it before buying. The mop is just awesome! Especially for timber floors as the microfibre gets perfectly humid as it has to be. I love also that the bucket is smaller than the usual ones and doesn’t require much space in my laundry room. Show details ·  1

Same problem! – I used my new Compact spin mop for the first time today & in that short time the black plastic hexagon 'screw' in the middle of the head came off SEVEN times! I came on here to see if others have the same problem & I see that I'm not the only one. Every time it spins it appears to loosen off the nut. I'm scared to do it up tightly as the… Read more

Doesn't spin dry because of manufacturing flaw – This mop did not spin dry. I wrote a review here but decided to give Sabco a chance at resolving the issue before publishing the review. Sabco responded and I emailed them a video of the mop not spinning dry. They suggested this may be the issue: Manufacturing flaw in a small quantity of refills: We've identified a specific batch of Smart Spin… Read more ·  1

Mop refills with slightly longer fibres than intended. This extended length leads to water retention even after spinning, as the fibres could not spin above the water line.

I had a spare mop refill on hand and gave it a go. It worked perfectly as I would have expected. Sabco sent me a new mop refill by regular post to replace my spare. It was rather annoying that they did not give the courier authority to leave, and I had to spend 10 min queuing at the post office. Anyway I am satisfied overall. It was fortunate that I had a spare on hand and that I only use this mop occasionally, otherwise I would have had to find an alternative mop while waiting for the replacement.

Really not a time saver for me – Fortunately, I bought it on sale at Woollies for half price with an extra 10% off with Woollies insurance, so I’m not too phased about the outlay. I was due for another mop head for my other spin mop (another brand) and at this price for the Sabco it was worth a try. I really liked the look of the compact shape. I do like the mop head with its… Read more

little scrubber in the centre. I have textured tiles so it’s perfect. The overall width of the mop is quite small for large areas. (I don’t have a huge home, just normal size kitchen, dining, hall and bathroom.) I found that after doing the rinse spin and lifting it to activate the centre of the spinner, four times out of five it wouldn’t pop up. So I spend most of my time spin spin spinning waiting for the centre to pop up for dry spinning. And you really have to be quite adept at making sure the mop head is perfectly placed in the bucket! Shame. It just wasn’t user friendly for me. (BTW I have watched the demonstration video, and am doing everything as directed.)

Brilliant, Fast, Efficient and Super Easy to use – So impressed, just love using my mop. I'm no fan of time consuming chores and I've never loved cleaning my floors, but this mop makes me want to mop more and Yes is does a great job at cleaning too, for both tiles and wooden floors! The bucket is a perfect compact size, and not heavy to carry. To put it all together was effortless, but just… Read more ·  3

with the mop head, mine was already on the mop so I had to look up how to detach it. If this happens to you, it's easy to take off as well.

The spin action which is also effortless makes rinsing and washing your mop head out, more effective and super fast than trying to do it all manually.

A bonus for drying the mop head is that you can take off the mop head from the handle and sit it in the middle of the bucket.

I have 2 Sabco Mops now and they are both Fabulous. The only reason I bought this second mop because I'm in a new place with unforgiving bathroom tiles and needed a more traditional type of mop head and this mop is perfect for that reason. I have reviewed the other mop here as well and will still keep using it for little spills etc.

I recommend going to Sabco's website, they have a video on how to use it.

For Refills, I had issues with getting the refills initially as they are not currently sold in any retail store, but possibly will at Big W in the future, so it's best to buy them from the Sabco Ebay store, link below. eBay store with free postage here: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sabco-Compact-Spin-Mop-Refill-Microfiber/254281451995?hash=item3b345b09db:g:wjMAAOSw7pldGUX1

Really good for wood floors where you need a drier mop – I've had this mop for 3 years and just the other day the spinner stopped working. I contacted Sabco and they were extremely helpful in finding out what the problem was. It now works great again. The only thing that I don't like about this mop is trying to get the whole mop head wet, as there isn't much room around the cylinder in the middle, but otherwise, it works well. Show details ·  1

Spin Mechanism Failed - Update Sabco send a replacement handle – Update--- Sabco sent a replacement handle Great that they stand behind their product Disappointed -The spin mechanism began to slip and then completely failed Considering it was used in a domestic situation and not use all that much - maybe a dozen times if that Fails the durability test It not so easy to use - though eventually you do get the knack of getting the spindle to raise for spin mode the pedal spin type mop is much easier Show details ·  1

Difficult to use – After many attempts trying to get the mop head locked onto the spin nut in the bucket I’ve decided to try and get a refund. What looks like a simple mechanism doesn’t appear to be well engineered. I’ve watched the ‘how to use’ videos but after following these instructions, the mop head simply won’t lock on/ in enough for anything to happen. ‍

Disappointed – I bought it as as I liked spinning model and expected this could be a better one. Even if it is for a small mopping, it requires to fill a lot of water or only the tip of the will touch the soap water. Often I fold the mop brush to immerse in soap water. That causes another trouble when you raise to spin and dry. If you fail to get to exactly… Read more

straight, when you push to spin, it can fold and forcefully go into dirty soap water which can spill. It can be a horrible experience mopping with this. I may have used it 10 times each time believing it could be something that I’m doing wrong. Now I have confirmed it’s the mop, not me. I am no longer using it as my patience is really poor when I clean.

Terrible – After buying 2 cheaper versions that worked well I decided to buy this expensive one thinking it would be the rolls royce of mops and buckets. No way. cleaner. It has no wheels on the bucket like my other 2 cheaper ones did. Head of mop never goes straight into the spinner part- to be able to spin, I need to bend over to straighten it each time I wish to spin. I would never buy another one of these. It does spin quite dry if that's what you want.

I hope Sabco has won an engineering award! – Absolutely brilliant mop and bucket (which is to be believed, as I find myself actually taking the time to review a mop and bucket!). Also, commendations to your Customer Service Team, as they seem to be dealing with the equivalent of people complaining to Apple, because they repeatedly smash their iPhone into their face and have yet to make a successful phone call. Show details ·  1

It’s ok but I wouldn’t purchase again – I find this mop to be very cumbersome to use. It rarely goes onto the spinner part straight so I have to lean down and straighten it with my hand or use my foot to stabilise it, then straighten before spinning. The height of the mop is far too short for me. I also have no idea on what litre capacity the fill line on the bucket is, which makes… Read more

measuring the detergent ratio annoying.

I use it on timber laminate flooring and to be honest, it’s ok but not great. I can’t get particularly dirty spots off easily because to scrub, the mop feels to flimsy and doesn’t angle properly for scrubbing. I miss my old Vileda super mop and will probably buy another one of those instead of this.

Mixed emotions over this product – Had this mop less than a year and it was the best thing since sliced bread up until a few weeks ago when the supa dupa stainless steel spinning technology shaft rusted and siezed. Its no good having a stainless drum if the shaft rusts out and stops it spinning. Will be taking it back once Bunnings opens for a refund. Had my old vileada 20 years and it never missed a beat, will be digging it out of the garage i think

Waste of time & money – Purchased to use on laminate flooring as I wanted something that would be a dryish clean. The mop does clean nicely & leaves the floor quite dry after use but that's the only good points. The mop doesn't fit easily into the bucket, has to be clicked in straight. Then you have to undo clip. It spins to wet the mop then you raise the mop for the… Read more

drying spin & it often doesn't stay clicked in to spinner so it just flies off. If it flies into the bucket sideways it's a devil to get it out!. In theory it's a great idea but in practice it makes the job Soo much harder than it needs to be. Also the handle is not long enough to make working with the mop comfortable. Thankfully I got it on special as it's straight in the bin for me! Complete waste of time & money, far better products on the market....retired professional cleaner.

Love it – I love this mop for my tiles, it's new and works like it is supposed to. The pad in the middle gets hard scrub stains off quickly. The wring action makes it so my mop doesn't leave lots of water on my tiles, which makes it dry faster too! I just wish I could extend the pole longer so I dont have to bend as much. It is bit pricey at $40 but I bought mine on half price sale so I'm happy. Show details
