What a waste of money! – Used this mop twice, mop head kept falling off the first time and the second the sponge went completely flat and just leaves streaks everywhere! Tried to dry it to see if it'd bounce back, nope now it's completely solid. Spent $30 to just throw it out! What a waste of money, I wish I'd read the reviews first! Show details
Terrible. Sponge keeps coming off – We have used Sabco for years and they used to be really good. The problem is the sponge. It keeps coming off. It's as if they've gone to a cheaper manufacturer. They gave us a replacement and it did the same thing. We waited six months and got another. The same thing happened. Show details
Hi Anthony,
Do you have a green or grey refill?
Love the concept but doesn’t work – I love the concept but doesn’t work. If you scrub the floor with the brush side the sponge halves and doesn’t stay flat. Then it leaves a mark against walls because the sponge doesn’t go right up to edges, so it leaves a line of debris. Make it stronger! Show details

Sabco absorbi scrub PVA sponge mop – This mop is absolutely useless as it always bent and never flat or straight. The sponge only touch the floor approx. 5cm each end. There is no mechanism to stay flat. It is poorly designed. Show details

Improved version works much better – Original green mop head didn't work. The revised grey one is much better and works exactly as I wanted it to. Sabco very responsive to feedback, they sent out replacements quickly. Show details · 1

Very poor quality, head falls of consistently – It is very annoying to use as the head falls off one side every time. Disappointing that a product this poor is allowed to make it to market and be sold at major retailers. I would rate zero stars if it was possible. Show details

Terrible product – As others have posted, this must be a design flaw. The sponge constantly falls off. There is no locking mechanism. Absolutely useless and unfortunately landfill. Please Sabco - either take the product off the market or redesign it. Show details

need to be aware that their design department and those that pass these products need their positions and performance reviewed . I no longer have the receipt to refund. The most annoying thing is the waste as I will have to take it to the tip as landfill. Same on you Sabco ! And for all you other poor people that have bought this inferior product, I feel your PAIN and FRUSTRATION!

Soft scrub sponge mop useless – Same as all other reviews, mop head keeps coming off, spend more time putting it back on than doing floors, product should be recalled, it's a rip off, but by all the negative reviews you should have done something by now, it would seem that you don't care about your customers Show details

Can someone tell me what the lift up tabs on the sides are for? – I bought my mop at Bunnings today. Did my floor, yes the sponge came off a few times. Couldn't work out if I was supposed to do something with the tabs on the upper part of the head. Actually can't work out what they are there for? Show details

Perfect mop with the new head, fantastic – Brilliant new head for this mop, 10/10, removes stubborn stains, dirt, spills , easily fits in to a bucket, hold moister, easy to rinse, squeeze dry and alcohol has a hard scrubber to remove stubborn stains Show reply
Poor design, waste of money – As others have stated, the mop simply doesn't stay on the head. I've tried multiple times, looked at videos, and finally found this review. I've now given up. This product should be recalled immediately so others do not buy it. As it has been some time since I purchased it, I would like Sabco to refund me. Show details

Pathetic – The sponge will not stay on the mop. Funnily enough the instruction describes how to remove the sponge. Could be an idea to have instructions of how to install the sponge so that it doesn’t continually fall off. Totall waste of money Show details

Yep, same again. Total waste of money – Due to the way the mop head fits on the mop handle, the moment you move it slightly away from mopping straight, the mop head pulls off - as it is a mop that i, probably like everyone else does, use for washing/mopping dirty floors, i have no desire whatsoever to keep having to handle the mop head to fix it back to the end. I haven’t watched their… Read more
video, it is a mop after all - what “special” techniques could possibly be needed to use the mop properly. You do really need to recall all of these particular mops and the company needs to put more work into how to fix the mop head onto the handle without it constantly falling off when used.

The nightmare mop… – Looked great in the packaging but as soon as packaging is of so is the head! Tried all the remedies people posted here as well as following the Sabco online video. returns desk tell me I wasn’t putting it on correctly. Could have heard a pin drop when it did the same to her and the person working there as well. Sabco best thing for you to do is recall them all as they are all faulty.

Extremely disappointed and frustrated – Just purchased this mop and tried it out this afternoon. Followed the ridiculous video where she sits seemingly for ever waiting for the mop head to get wet. Every time I attempted to use the mop the head dislodged. Wish I had read the reviews beforehand. Everyone has found exactly the same issue yet the company doesn’t seem to be taking it seriously. Great looking Mop - but Jesus Christ not fit for use - RESDESIGN head and it will be great – Great Mop, delivering a real promise for dual purpose nice dense PVA top and a scrubber. Unwrapped soaked as per all the care instructions, upon the first use with the slightest of pressure the mop head un-clips. Inspecting the refill and the affixing points including the retainer, this design is just an absolute joke. With natural flex in the… Read more
product the mop head dis-lodges due to the mop head retainer not being deep enough and being on the affixing to the inside centre. I would suggest Sabco pulls this product from the shelves and redesigns the heads and retaining clips. Also I would suggest that the wringing handle have a proper locking retainer as any form of pressure using either the scrubber or PVA surface results in the handles retainer to open, which folds the mop head (this is near impractical to get the smallest of bathrooms done without the PVA head falling off on either side or the head folding in).
Like > Sabco responder - I have read your responses on others posts and i feel you need to not peddle the party line and actually take this back to R&D and sort it ASAP. I have always used Sabco products and this is rubbish - I'm ready to go back to a poxy old string mop.
Take heed - REDESIGN retainer clips for mop head (don't have them slid outward, have the cartridge load from either one or the other side, or just two retaining locks on the outside).

The defying moment in adulthood I cried enraged by a mop – I’ve spent my adult life trying to find the perfect mop that does not leave streaks and dries quickly. This mop delivered, it did leave lines where the mop ends as you swipe however I was willing to let it slide, I was too impressed by the quick dry and good clean it gave me...moments after the grin was swiftly mopped off my face as the mop head… Read more
fell half off the head, flopping about like a wet noodle. I thought no harm no foul, submerged it in the mop bucket again made sure it was properly reattached and began mopping again, again it detached. Gave it one more go for good measure and same thing happened again. Side note, I had prematurely binned my other mop and she was in no condition to be pulled back out to finish the job. I had no choice but to continue mopping with this green fella, I ended the journey on my quickly drying floor, mop in hand with tears running down my face filled with rage and defeat. Honestly if you were to fix this issue (yeah I read through prior to writing this) I would still consider trying it again, I believe the rest of its benefits make it a valuable member of the family. The majority of my other products are Sabco and I’m happy with the quality, however this one was as good as 2020, one to be written off. Ps: please excuse the mop puns (intended) this is the first review I’ve ever written of a product, cut me some slack.

Terribly dissatisfied – Firstly on a positive note. The material used in the head is excellent. It does a great job and rinses clean in seconds under a running tap. Love it. And the floors dry really quickly. Again love it. And the price was excellent. Think I paid around $23/24. However, I’m short. 5’3. 162cm I think that is. And even though I’m short the… Read more
handle was too short for me. I found it back breaking.
The squeeze lever on the mop didn’t fit under my couch or coffee table. So there wouldn’t be any quick mop overs. Every time I mop would require me to push the couch and coffee table out of the way. That’s my personal circumstance, but maybe be aware of that if your furniture is chunky like mine. Again, something I could work around.
However, the one thing that I cannot live with or work around is the mop head CONSTANTLY falling off on one or both sides while I was mopping. That I cannot live with. It was absolutely ridiculous the amount of times that fell off and I had to re-attach it.
Based on my experience I would not recommend this mop. UPDATE PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING THIS MOP. The response below from Sabco includes a link to a video. I read the instructions for use, and based on the reply below from Sabco my understanding is that as you use the mop, naturally the sponge is drying out. So, every time you dip the mop back into the bucket you have to check that the sponge is still securely attached to the mop head. My brand new Sabco soft sponge scrub mop - used once, is now in the bin. Before you purchase this mop, please check out Sabco’s instructions and see what your understanding is. Then make your own decision.

Scrubbing side can only be used applying very light pressure – The sponge side works fine but the scrubbing side can only be used if you’re scrub side to side and don’t apply much pressure. I’ll be taking this back tomorrow. Show details
Terrible Design – I bought this mop as a replacement for a Decor mop that I've used for years as I can no longer purchase a replacement sponge for it. What a waste of money. The extension handle is about 10 cm too short. Fully extended just 124 cm. Not sure why Sabco bothered with an extension handle that doesn't extend to a practical length. It seems to have… Read more
been designed for people who are 160 cm or shorter. It causes back pain to those of average height. Totally impractical for the Australian market. The scrubbing brush can't be removed. Its position prevents the mop getting into corners & makes it impossible to clean around the toilet or into the corners of the kitchen cabinets. I also paid $12 for a sponge refill for this mop which is pretty expensive especially now that I'm unlikely to use it or the mop again.
Terrible design, total fail – Terrible design. The way the sponge is secured to the base isn't enough, the moment you go even slightly sideways it comes off because that's how it's fastened. The scrubbing brush is at the wrong angle and if you flip the mop to scrub the floor it barely touches the surface because it's at the wrong angle. The scrubbing brush makes the mop too high to get under skirting boards. Complete fail. Show details
Leaves streak on tiled floors – Left streaks on floor after using a cleaning product in the water, then rinsing the mop and going over again with clean water. The floors actually look worse than before using this mop. I would not recommend this product. Show details

So disappointing – Needed to get a refill for my mop and when I saw a mop with a brush that was only a few dollars more than the refill I got excited.
