It was ok – I purchased my Saeco Xelsis coffee machine several years ago and at first was impressed with the fingerprint technology. I soon realised it’s a gimmick I didn’t need. The machine is very demanding, it is always asking me to do empty it, fill it and clean it. The waste tray was always full and when it overflowed it started tho rust the base of the… Read more

unit as you can see in my photos.

All in all it’s not a bad machine, just a bit demanding and costly to run over time. It’s like a Ferrari or a lingerie model, everyone wants to take it for a ride, but not many people want to maintain one. But it does make a good cup of coffee

Bad Experience – We first purchased a Saeco Xelsis coffee machine in 2013. We had nothing but problems with it and, it spend ,more time in Segafredo than at our house. It was leaking water, the milk caraffe had to be replaced, the boiler started leaking, the water valve had to be replaced, hoses sprung a leak, etc. etc. Fortunately, this was all repaired under… Read more

warranty. When the warranty ran out, the problems continued. Eventually, I posted the problem here and Philips got in touch with us and kindly, decided to replace the machine in November 2017. The replacement one started leaking water a month ago and, I, reluctantly, took it in to Segafredos, last week. They just rang me and said the water valve has to be replaced, plus a couple of other minor problems, cost, $460! This is for a $2000 plus machine! This machine is now discontinued, no surprise! However, we are still stuck with a machine that we are very reluctant to spend $460 on! For pensioners, that is a lot of money! If Philips read this, please, do something!

Absolute piece of garbage – Worked fine up until a descale. Now it's stuck on descale. I've run step 2/2 about 5 times. Filled it with maximum water. Keeps asking me to do it... Turned it off at the wall and left for half an hour. Back into descale mode... Rang the 1300 number and the incompetent idiot on the phone couldn't tell me how to manually reset it or get… Read more

out of descale mode but offered to give me the number of a service centre to which i'd have to take it in to get looked at....

Do not buy this machine. I'm so close to throwing it off my balcony and its now just an expensive paperweight. Why would you make a product WITHOUT a master reset button?

Good design phillips, good design....

Brilliant machine – We are coffee crazy at home and wanted a machine that produced quality coffee and milk. For true coffee drinkers the optimum beverage temp is around 55-60 degree celcius which is just what the machine does, although some like steaming milk which we do with frother if they want. We have had it for 4 years and have had it serviced twice but we made… Read more ·  3

sure we got the extended warranty so all fine.

We make about 6 - 10 coffees per weekday and more on weekends, since we bought it 4 years ago and love it..!

Worst machine I have ever bought – We bought this coffee machine thinking if we pay what we thought at the time around $3,000 we should have an awesome home coffee machine. Wrong Wrong Wrong, The machine sits in the kitchen and we just boil the jug like the old days, the coffee is never hot enough, the milk is luke warm at best , everything else seems fine and if you only drank Ice… Read more
