Usual family use for a bit over 3 years and then drainage impeller suddenly died. We cleaned filter regularly. Samsung were easily contactable and helpful over phone for some initial troubleshooting but ultimately said there was no warranty and that we were on our own. I think less than 3 years of regular use for a relatively premium priced washer is poor. I think I will buy a new Bosch machine as hopefully they will be more durable. Show details

walls. Technician diagnosis pointed to a failed inlet valve. Given the cost and the flood risk, I replaced it rather than repaired. Wash performance was good while it lasted. Why bother with the cute melodies to start and stop a cycle, and AI integration .. just make a washing machine that lasts.

with a Bosch, hopefully it will last. If they could just make these machines simpler without all the bells and whistles, maybe there wouldn't so many issues.

the drum apart from the inside, this isn’t normal wear and tear, it’s a serious mechanical failure.

For a product at this price point, you expect durability, reliability, and proper engineering instead I ended up with recurring faults that eventually led to catastrophic damage. This machine clearly had an underlying issue from the start, and it should have been resolved properly the first time.

I strongly believe this situation warrants a proper resolution from the manufacturer, as no appliance should self-destruct shortly after warranty expires, especially one that has already shown the same fault multiple times.

Not recommended, and I will be reconsidering this brand entirely moving forward.

favourite settings. I run the every day settings, as well as delicate and towel settings. The high spin rate is a real advantage. It reduces the time taken to dry the clothes, either on the drying rack or in the dryer. I also like the short cycle. It's called a 15-minute cycle, but the shortest I've managed to get was 26 minutes. Still, it's a quick load and it cleans well. The settings I use are generally pretty quiet, with a cute little song that plays when it's finished. I'm satisfied with this machine.

Super easy to use and quiet – Love the many many different wash/time options, best washing machine I’ve owned so far. Washes really well and even tells me when the drum needs cleaning and has a wash cycle for that too. User friendly to use – The washing new machine is easy to use, efficient and quiet. There are many cycle options. Quick wash works well although it takes longer than expected. Ensure you get the installer to check the machine does not leak and work well for the first few minutes. Show reply

This machine is a bit of a con. Despite being rated as a 8.5 kilo machine, this capacity is only possible on one of the machines (many) wash cycles. It should have been built in the 50's as all it does is rock 'n roll. Doubles as a home security alarm. It is a noisy banger. Show details

clothing and left the machine essentially unusable. For something as essential as a washing machine, this is a serious design and build flaw.

When I contacted Samsung support, I was told they would not cover the issue because the unit was one year out of warranty. The frustrating part is that the machine had barely been used during the actual warranty period — we were building and it sat unused for much of that time. In practice, the machine had not even been in service for a full year.

I raised the issue of duty of care and product responsibility, especially considering the premium price point at which Samsung sells these machines. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgement of fault or willingness to provide assistance. It feels like once the warranty lapses, Samsung completely washes its hands of any responsibility.

Do not buy this machine. Expensive up front, cheaply built, and backed by a company that walks away from obvious faults once the warranty ticks over.

I understand if it’s multiple coins but it was 1 coin. Why did this coin not stay in the door or filter as it’s a front loader?

I was also advised the technician is free of charge and I confirmed this maritime times with the consult at from Samsung he said yes now to be advised I need to pay $200 for a call out fee. Horrible experience to encounter and customer service is terrible

the rep out on 21st jan 2021 as it was rattling and something was "off" with the spin and it appeared to be off balance. The guy came and repalced something to do with drum I think? and thought he had balanced it. It worked ok for a couple of months and then started the follwoing problems in close succession * soap dispenser rattles like crazy and the only way to stop that noise is to stand with your hand on it The metal around the saop dispenser has started rusting in the last 12 months It seems to never stay "balanced" due to the vibration/s, my husband, the Samsung rep, another applicance repair guy and even my electrician tried to remedy the "leveling" or balancing. It is SUPER noisy. I have on 2 occassions sat for HOURS on hold, so much so that my phone went flat!!, to Samsung, with not even getting through to anyone. Overall happy with the wash and am now used to the programmes but the ongoing rattles and vibrating and constantly trying to level this machine is just too much. I am a accomplished house keeper and the machine is in our large laundry that actually forms part of our kitchen and there isnt a drier to be blamed for the rusting. So I'd say dont buy Samsung due to the problems I have had and their poor ( well lack of = answering the phone to even report any faults) customer service. I am sure it is out of wty now, but was still in wty when I tried one of the 2 marathon phone calls with no answer at all! Always been happy with our Samsung TVs and phones, so perhaps they best stick to what they are good at, although am soured by this wm experience so may even look at other brands in future for phones and TVs given this tainting our opinion of Samsung. come out - they ended up replacing a valve but the machine showed the error msg again 2 weeks later. Customer service has been appalling (both Appliances Online and Samsung Technical). Appliances Online refuse to have any involvement and palm me off to Samsung Service which take a week to get back to me. Unfortunately because I can get the machine working I am not entitled to a refund or replacement (I've been advised that if a technician comes out and the machine is working I will be charged). Buyer Beware!!!

Samsung’s express manufacturer’s warranty provided with the unit does not cover physical damage caused by, among other things misuse, incorrect operation or not following instructions as stated in the Product Operation’s Manual or manufacturer’s instructions provided with Samsung consumer product. For Warranty Exclusion, please refer to Samsung Warranty Card VI.

Given the assessment findings, Samsung is not prepared to offer a remedy under either the express manufacturer’s warranty or the Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees.

Awesome Machine – I love the features of this washing machine. It learns how you like to use it and adapts. For example: to chose which cycle you want the user turns the dial until the desired cycle is reached, for example 'Daily Wash'. when turn the machine on it defaults to the daily wash setting.

Futher, we like to add an additional rinse cycle. After a few times of doing so the machine remembers that as well and automatically includes our preferred amount of rinses.

The machine also can link to your phone that lets you know when it's finished which is handy if you don't hear it finish.

That all might sound trivial but the simplicity really helps.

Oh yeah, and the machine works perfectly and after almost a year of use has never given us any trouble.

between Samsung, their courier and Samsung call centre, I still have not received my items that I paid for. They kept promising to get back to me within 5 business days but this has never happened. They kept promising that the items will be delivered and of course this didn't happen.

My experience purchasing from Samsung has been worse than imaginable. Who would want to buy things from Samsung anymore after this?

At the time of writing I still not have received any concrete delivery date or even an update of what has gone wrong.

Low quality assurance, prewash cycle don't work as it should be and samsung don't agree their fault – The detergent drawer don't hold liquid for main wash cycle so when prewash function is selected all liquid are used in prewash cycle and main cycle is only with water which is a big issue for laundry wash. It seems as design issue with samsung and they don't agree on it. Logically it doesn't make sense to have two different compartment for detergent if detergent dispenses at all once.

my closest store before writing this review, but they said: The capacity is 8.5 even if it applies to only one washing option :( By the way the quality is bad. The detergent box has been replaced three times so far, and the drum keeps pushing the door as if it want to break it. Strangely, the service person advised that it is normal. The issue is that Samsung would not agree that these are major defects, and would not agree with a full refund.

favourite setting is the cloudy day one where the clothes spin so much they almost feel dry when the cycle finishes which is perfect in winter because usually washing takes so much longer to dry when it’s really wet out of the machine but with this setting they dry quickly

Noisy & vibrates on spin since new – Reported fault within 1 week of installed, to date Samsung have tried to charge me the call out as they say no fault, rubbish I have videos of it vibration & noise which my old machine did not do. They have to date ignored the faults & video and say I have no claim. DO NOT DEAL WITH APPLIANCES ONLINE THE HAVE NO LEGENDARY SERVICE.
