Amazing phone. Quality Camera. Love how the button on the S pen can be used to take photos. Comes with SD card slot – Rear camera takes clear shots. Photo editing is simple to use and has lots of different features to edit those wonderful pictures of family and nature. Very happy with camera. Show details · 1
Samsung Care has been a disaster to deal with. This alone ruins the Samsung experience – The phone was behaving pretty good — then 6 weeks in I started to notice odd errors. From slow text key responses, then to the assistant menu literally “spazzing” out all over the place before settling and unable to unlock the phone. The issues were sporadic. On return the phone was scratched (!) but I was able to remove it, and the S Pen nib… Read more
blunt (!) — so much for the “care” aspect being delivered to customers.
I would not recommend a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 after this experience which is tarnished by the Care received or lack thereof.

Great phone got for a great pre-release price – Pros: 1. Beautiful screen. 2. Fast and able to run Office apps for work and lots of games. 3. Got the 512GB for the price of the 128GB as a pre-release purchase so massive amount of storage. 4. Ability to add additional storage (I have another 128GB added). 5. Transferring files via USB-C. Never liked phones where you cannot plug it into a… Read more · 1
computer and treat it like a USB storage. 6. TV mirroring is a breeze. Way easier to search and watch youtube videos via the phone then trying to type with the TVs remote. 7. It has been almost 2 years and the battery still lasts a whole day with moderately heavy use. 8. After having a Note 5 and then a Note 7 for a brief period of time (recalled), I then went to an S7 and had withdrawal symptoms of not having a stylus. 9. The ability to write quick notes using the stylus without having to unlock the phone. 10. Remote stylus allows the control of the phone. Cons: 1. Curved edge means not many screen protectors besides the very expensive Zagg ones. 2. Heavy. Definitely don't want to hold on to it, say, on a coach or in bed as your fingers will become numb after a while. Not helped by a heavy protective case.
Great power user device – I use this phablet for a mix of work and personal use across metropolitan and semi rural areas on the Telstra network. Phone coverage has been great. The ability to use WiFi calling is awsome on the newer Samsung phones as I have virtually no signal at home living in a hilly semi rural area. For work purposes the screen size is great from a… Read more
navigation point of view streets can be seen clearly. The s pen is awsome at meetings and conferences for note taking and means I don't carry a not book around. From a personal device point of view the camera quality has to be one of the best on the market especially night time shots with some really neat features. The only drawback would be the screen when watching movies in dark settings e.g. Stranger things on Netflix even when turning the brightness right up characters can be very difficult to distinguish however this may be the case for all phone/ tablet/ phablet on the market. Another awsome feature is the waterproofing has been a life saver when the phone is poolside pumping out music to a Bluetooth speaker and previously owned S8+ even survived an accidental salt water dip in the ocean for half an hour. This feature alone has saved me over $1,000. If I was in the market for a new phone I would definitely look at a note 10 but will personally wait for at least the note 11 as this note 9 is great and would also be awsome for anyone else that wants to pick up a great device that would have dropped considerably in price since release.
Note 9 a bit much – Hello I've owned the note 9 for about a year know. Since I am into flagship phones I was excited to use this phone to the max and u did I did everything except for gaming as I'm not a gamer I decided to purchase the note 9 at first I was very impressed with the phone. It was more than a phone it was my personal mini office multitasking is great… Read more
using the camera with all the extras took a little bit of time to get used to. I did use the s pen wasn't very impressed with it. It should of been able to do more gestures then what it did the two speakers are good on the phone the top speaker seem to kind of bug out once in awhile but I noticed the more updates the came the worst the phone was getting the phone would the heat up and slow down when new features would come with new updates on but they would not work or available to me because I am in Canada example wi/fi calling would never work or new chat apps would not register not sure if that's a Samsung thing or my current operator I did replace the screen two times in one year the glass was not as good as it could be the aluminum frame was great I dropped my phone quite a bit and it took quite a few lickin's I would if liked it to be a bit tougher considering the price tag on some of these phones but overall it was a great phone can't wait for the note 10 to come out and I'll review that one as well I give the note 9 7 out of 10

Perfect in every way – Been using it from last 2 years even software updates didn't made it slow. Good responsive screen, battery life is going down now as i bought it used so probably in 2021 its 3 years old Really love aux port, stylus and split screen option. Show details

I can't remember what I did before I had this phone – This phone is so great, I honestly don't know how I operated before it. Its very easy to use, even for a first time Android user like myself. The camera is very good quality. The brightness is easily adjustable. All apps run smoothly. You can organise the apps how you want. I use the phone for just about everything, all Web surfing, online… Read more · 1
shopping, banking, notes, reminders, timers, shopping list, calender, what's app chatting and lastly making phone calls.
The Google assistant is also very helpful I call out to it to add things to my shopping list, make calculations and search the Web. So handy!
The phone is slim and light weight. Highly recommended!

Camera can't zoom – The camera vibrates, goes wavy and won't focus when zooming. It was a good phone for the first week or so last year but after that the zoom stopped working properly.. I purchased 2 of them on plans with Telstra and they both Do the same thing. Samsung refuses to acknowledge there is a fault even with thousands of people reporting it. Show details

Terrible – I switched from the Google pixel 2xl to this brick. This crap goes on and on about it's battery life which I've barely noticed a difference from my old phone. I get pop ups and unwanted screen ads which I'm not used to considering that never happened with my pixel phone. Just changing the theme will cost you money. Not to mention this slow chunk… Read more
of scrap will literally crash with just chrome open and only 1 tab. I can't scroll through Facebook without glitches and pop ups and the inevitable crash. Let's not even mention the terrible speakers and glitchy phone calls. I cant text from the pull down and in general it is clunky and not streamlined at all. I've never been more disappointed in a phone, and I had the S4 for over 4 years. I hate this phone and truly regret my purchase as I'm stuck with this steaming pile for two more years until I can upgrade. Literally any phone at this point would be an upgrade.

Display ratio is not that great but same goes for other mobiles too – May be my old mobile was too good. My old phone was Samsung A9 Pro which I bought from India which was having 6 inch display. Samsung A9 pro is having wider display than Note 9 which gives better ratio but there is more to it. In A9 Pro display, you can see higher details like shadows and brighter color contrast where as in Note 9 everything… Read more
just lights up. If I play same video in both mobiles, I can see the experience I am losing to see vivid colors which I cannot see in Note 9. Surprisingly colors are more vividly displayed in Samsung A9 Pro. But even Iphone XS colors seem same to me as Note 9. It shoulkd be good review for Sansung A9 Pro that it is having better display than Iphone XS and Note 9 rather than bad review of Note 9.
It's surprising that latest release of Samsung is having worse display than release Samsung launched 3 years ago. I bought my old mobile in India and new mobile Note 9 in Australia. Same goes for iPhones.
May be technology changed and all run towards new display technogy without actually thinking what they will lose which wasin old technology.
Same goes for other companies.
Note 9 display is better than most of the today's phones though.
I also don't see option to turn off shutter sound of camera so I have to turn on silent mode to do that.

Best phone I have had yet – This phone is durable, has great memory, I am able to pretty much run our small business from here. Pity they Discontinued it. Will be upgrading to the newest Samsung. I like this phone a lot! – I have been using this phone for about three and a half years now. It has been a reliable phone since day one. Although, I needed to swap it at the age of two years. The first one of these phones had a battery problem that the tech team could not repair, and I got my replacement phone. This is the reason why I give only 4 out of 5 stars for this… Read more
product. I would say that this is a serious phone fault, and the sales representative told me that it was a known problem with the phone. However, the provider swapped my phone after the assessment was carried out without any problem. I am nearly at the two years mark with the second phone and waiting to see if it holds itself together longer. Other than that. I never had any problems with it.
Given that I have used Samsung products for decades now, using the phone's menu and options is a piece of cake. For me, the best selling point was the inbuilt pen that comes with the phone. Jotting down notes made easy, and I use this function frequently, during meetings or when I have an idea that I do not want to slip away. It works as a remote control too, but I do not use this function too often.
The battery life is rather fair after using the second phone for about one and a half years. I have never run out of juice yet, but I am not a screen addict. I usually use the phone to make and receive calls, and messaging, GPS navigation, listen to audiobooks and music, surf social media when I feel like it, take pictures and videos or watch something interesting on Youtube.
Once hooked up with a decent pair of headsets, the sound quality of the phone is impressive. Again, I am not a music fanatic but have an ear for quality sound. This phone still has the 3.5 mm audio jack option, which is rare these days, but honestly, I only use Bluetooth headsets. Therefore I could live without this option.
I use the phone through wifi to connect to my Netflix subscription and play it on the big screen daily. Easy peasy. An effortless and convenient way to get quality entertainment, even when on the road and spending the night at a hotel or Airbnb.
The phone's quality of pictures and videos is fantastic, even though the phone has only two cameras at the back. The quality was never an issue, but I have to take some of those Instagram pictures for my wife's business from time to time if you know what I mean.
I never had problems running an app on the phone.
Overall, I love the phone. It has impressive quality, and it never fails or freezes on me, except when I had to replace it after the battery failure. :)
Best Phone – one of the best phones I have owned, good quality pictures and video, easy to use, big screen, applications run smoothly, alot of space for storage, it has all the bells and whistles in a phone you can want. Show reply

Great upgrade – Very similar to the note 8 but seems to have less problems so far and the extra memory is great. Love having expanded SD card and the video quality is great.
Great phone, fast, bit bulky – The Galaxy Note 9 is a solid, fast and sleek Samsung phone which as good as never freezes or plays up. I do not like the fact that it is so bulky, and one has to be careful with inserting a SIM pin as it is easy to mistakenly insert the SIM pin into the top speaker hole. Disabling all bloatware can really help with battery life on Samsung phones too. Show reply

Almost perfect phone for the features but inconsistency in performance – pro - magnificent screen with fantastic graphic - the pen is fully useful especially on editing or graphic works - photo quality is brilliant - great size for hand palm during scrolling or mobilization con - the battery is degrading from 4000mah to be 3450mah within 1 year - Fast charging not working after 1 year - IP65 rated but most of the… Read more · 1

Best that we have had – Have had our Note 9's for just over a year and we love them. Both cameras are awesome. So happy with picture quality. Memory of 513gb is absolutely amazing. We have purchased these phones through a special deal with Harvey Norman. Could not be happier with the phone and the Optus plan. No regrets. The price of $2004.00 over 24 months includes phone and plan. Winning. Show details

Love my phone – This phone is the best. I upgraded from a galaxy 8 and am impressed. Great Phone – Have had this phone for 12 months and haven't had any real issues with it. Have been able to get free tuition from Samsung store at Marion where purchased.
