The phone does overheat and the phone takes so long to charge – The user interface is more suited for a teen than an adult, very poor. My phone overheats and is very slow to charge. If I had my way again I would not contemplate purchasing this phone. iPhones for me from now on! Show details

My work phone but memory trap is saddening – Love the camera but not as good as my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Not worth the money if you're upgrading for S9+ because everything is basically the same. Just that the camera has moved

Good Enough!! – I was happy to get this phone as I had read it had a really good camera and could make videos. I'm not very techy so I suspect this phone can do a lot I don't know about. Pics are OK - but my daughter can get better pics than I on an S9. And I haven't figured out how to make vids longer than about 3 secs. There's a design bug I think in the side… Read more ·  1

Love it, can't be without it – The camera quality is great in all different settings. The display is clear although screen savers seem to make the display dull. I use all different apps and games on mine e.g. Facebook, Snapchat, Tik Tok, etc. and it never breaks down even if i have 20 tabs open. Show details ·  1

First phone i have not wanted to upgrade after 3 months! – I am usually the type of person who likes to upgrade my phone after 3 months due to getting bored with my phone, but since getting the Samsung S10+ this has not been the case. Purchasing the 512gb version of this phone i have to say was one of the best ideas. Having so much storage on the phone means you never run out of space and is great for… Read more ·  1

storing heaps of photos, music, messages etc.

The camera on the phone is pretty good. I do find that night mode is not as good as on some other branded phones, but with a bit of tweaking you can pretty much get any photo crystal clear.

Battery performance on this phone is also pretty darn good. I am a heavy phone user using my phone for everything including internet, apps, photos and music on a daily basis and i never run out of battery before my normal charging time in the evening.

I do think the current retail price of these phones being $1,349 (as listed at JB Hifi Online as of 11/02/2020) is a little over priced though considering their are other branded phones which can do similar things for a lot less cost.

One of the Best but not Perfect – I was excited to receive the phone and began to use it immediately. I like how the design and how light and comfortable it is to use with one hand. The camera is awesome and brings in a lot of strong features like presets (instagram, panorama, slow motion, time lapse, etc.) and a way to test out the pro manual settings. The front and back cameras… Read more ·  1

take decent photos even at night. One thing I noticed recently after several updates received from Samsung is that the camera became sluggish and would often become unresponsive. You'd have to wait for a while and then it will respond. The screen is good for watching online streaming.

Battery usually lasts for a whole day with heavy use. Some of the things I noticed with prolonged use is that the battery sometimes feel hot from continued use. Power sharing is also a hit and miss. It sometimes work and when it does it is slow. I tried sharing power with my partner and my battery almost drained and my partner only got as much as 4% after half an hour!

The fingerprint sensor is usually good but lately have become sluggish and would not allow me access however I position my finger as per setup. Backing it up requires a lot of space. I wish Samsung would develop an incremental way of backing things up instead of creating new files every time.

Overall, I still like the phone over iPhone because it's packed with features and sharing capabilities (as any Android phone) but it could still be better. Samsung Galaxy has come along way but still is far from being the perfect mobile device.

Love the color, very lightweight and waterproof is good, amazing camera – Extremely reliable phone, the ability to transfer battery life to other phones is great and the battery lasts quite a long time. The colors are by far the best samsung have brought out.. the issue is that this product is too lite weight, far to easy to drop and I'm positive the glass is not as strong as the note... size is good, software is quick! Great brightness options. Security key is too tight too mock location, very epic device. Show details

This is good if you want a bigger phone – Everything is almost exactly the same as S10. Aside of course for its front camera and battery size. This is a really good phone. Performance wise, very smooth. I just cant handle the size and weight. After a few hours of using it, my wrists gets really tired. It will suit someone a little bit bigger I think. Show details

Simply... AMAZING!!! – I purchased the galaxy s10+ after using iPhone exclusively for more than 5yrs. The phone itself impressed me immediately!! Hasn't had a single issue yet in the month I've had it. I am impressed!! I can honestly say I don't see myself going back to iPhone at this point. Absolutely recommended to anyone wanting a phone that's built for LIFE. no restrictions on how you use it.. Reliable, yet flexible enough to adapt to the purpose at hand. You will not regret it :-)

Brick -update – Got the mobile, went through standard first time startup setup, finally finished after at max 45min, and the mobile goes to black screen of death. long it takes to fix the mobile and send it back to me. I read and watched around 50 reviews for this mobile and not one of them mentioned this fault, yet a quick google of “samsung s10 black screen” i think shows that this is a big problem for these mobiles. Got the mobile back about 2 weeks after i first sent it away, the mobile has been working ever since without issue. Its been a little trickier to get used to with finding settings that aren’t where they would be on iphone, sometimes I have to search for the setting I want. But other than that the mobile does everything a mobile should do and as it was a lot cheaper than the iphone at the time, it was the better choice.

Mobile green screened 2022 (screen ghosted and had a green tinge) would've cost $400 to replace the screen at the time. So replaced with s23 ultra.

Amazing camera and video quality – Upgrade the Mrs from IPhone X to S10+ with 512G. Bought it at JB for $1849, the price was steep, however under monthly contract with Telstra it does not seem that bad with 80G of data. Now for the phone, quite a large phone with very nice edge to edge screen. The touch screen is as good as those of the iPhone. The battery life so far last longer… Read more

than the update old iPhone.

What we like about the device was the video playback quality. Even the YouTube clip looked amazing. One annoying feature is the small notch located upper right. Not as big as those of the iPhone X but it is there.

The finger scan is good as those of the old iPhone.

The photos taken by S10+ is wow,so far we tested under low light, through a car windscreen while raining, through a fish tank. Hand down better then iPhone X.

Another issued with the S10+ is the earphones supplied. After a couple days of use, already have slight crackling noise coming from the left ear piece. Not happy about that. Never have that issue with iPhone ear piece.

Apart from that streaming through Nvidia Shield is no issue thus far. Loud speaker at full blast is not too bad. Overall the Mrs loved the phone for it quality picture and video and easy usage compare to iPhone. However not happy about the quality of the ear pieces provided.

battery just seems to last forever. I am always surprised when I look up and see plenty of battery life left.

In my work I use the camera on a daily basis. I still have not figured out all of the fantastic settings this camera has to offer as I am not the best photographer haha but it does exactly what I need it to do in all lighting conditions and makes a breathtaking panorama.

Overall I expect to own this phone for many years without and issues like all Samsung Galaxy phones that I have owned.

Poor outcome when a problem arises – My Galaxy S10+ exhibited a problem in answering more than half of my phone calls. More than half my calls went to voicemail. With Samsung Customer Service advice I tested my sim in another phone, it proved that the phone had a problem. They advised me that I could take the phone back to JB hifi for warranty repair. JB hifi said that the phone may… Read more

be away for up to six weeks. A while later I got a call that I must pay for a screen glass replacement before it would be fixed. Although Samsung charge Apple equivalent prices their Customer Service and repair support are a stark contrast to those of Apple. You have to ask yourself ‘ what happens if I have a problem with my Samsung phone? Should I keep my old phone in case it takes six weeks for repair? Will the warranty be honoured?

NB my screen cracked while I was testing the sim in another phone - I had two phones in my pocket and one pressed the other to create a crack. The call sneering problem pre-dated the screen crack. The screen under the cover glass is undamaged.

Love my phone – Beautiful phone, works well and super fast. However I do note that the camera effect is a bit 'fish-bowled' even on the 1:1 ratio and is not clear on 3rd party apps (Whatsapp,Facebook) but it might just need me to re-jig my settings. Battery life is great and screen colours are fantastic. Show details

Fantastic! The very best choice in 2019! – The device has the best curved OLED display. The cameras have unreal performance; the selfie cameras take great selfies and the back cameras generate the most colorful and wide-angled photos. Great phone with some drawbacks – Screen: the best screen on a smartphone. Resolution is crisp and the brightness is more than you'll ever need. Can see everything perfectly outdoors. Battery: you're reading this on an Australian website so unfortunately you've been cursed with the Samsung made CPU instead of the superior Qualcomm CPU. If you've used both models, you'll… Read more

definitely notice the difference in battery life. That's not to say the Australian model is bad, it lasts me a whole day from 9am to 10pm with moderate use. It however could be a lot better.

Camera: great camera if there's sufficient light. Samsung really dropped the ball with Google and Huawei taking far superior photos in low light situations.

Fingerprint sensor: utterly useless. Yes it's more secure than the technology that companies such as Xiaomi and Huawei use, it also fails to scan your finger half the time too.

Ergonomics: this really irritated me when I first got the phone. It feels great in the hand but if you're not using a case then expect a lot of accidental touches. Its almost impossible to type without a case as a slight tap on the screen from your hand results in errors. Samsung has an app to fix this however I didn't find it overly helpful or useful. You shouldn't need an app to fix bad hardware decisions.

One UI: one UI is the software experience offered by Samsung. It still manages to drop a lot of frames and is a laggy mess of an experience, even on a high end device like this. Coming from an iPhone 8, I didn't feel my money was well spent on this phone. That was until I installed another launcher.

Mainboard faulty after 1 month – I bought the handset when launched. Had charging issue within a month and went to service tech and they said the mainboard had issue so they had to replace the mainboard. Than now having another issue. Easily the best phone I've ever owned – I know, it's new, so it should be better than the last one, but this phone is truly fantastic. The UI is great and simple to use. bluetooth etc.

Samsung has done an amazing job of optimising the apps perfectly for it's large 19:9 aspect ratio screen. Everything looks amazing on it.

The camera is outstanding. It has excellent low light capability and exceptional Slow Motion video. It has 3 rear facing lenses, 1 for Wide Angle, Regular and 2x Optical zoom. It includes other filters and effects like live focus, panorama and Instagram modes. The 2 front facing selfie lenses are good too. One is a regular and one is a wider angle designed for taking selfies with a group of friends. They include built in effects and filters. The display is second to none with a maximum resolution of 3040x1440. It has adaptive brightness which changes how bright the screen is depending on whether you are in a dark room or outside in the light. It is easily the brightest display I've ever used making it easy to see in broad daylight.

It's a good physical size for me. It feels like a sleek quality product to hold and use. The only slight drawback is the battery life. It's not perfect but I can use it all day and into the night before it needs charging. Based on my usage and experience with previous models it's about the same as the S9+ and S8+.

I've owned the S8+ and S9+ prior to this phone and can say it's a big jump forward for the brand.
