Best phone I have had – This phone is fantastic, in everyway and I must admit I was silly getting it, but love it Why am I silly in getting it? Well I do not use all the functions, camera I have worked out a little, the stylus or what ever name they call the pen, is convenient to say the least, the size of it is great and the screen is majorly vivid, massive improvement… Read more · 1
over battery life
My last phone was a S10+ and well the battery for the S23 is majorly superior, two days or more without a recharge and if I use it quite a bit, it still goes for a min of 2 days, so majorly more convenient in regards to charging. I deducted 1 star due to it does not come with a charger and really you do need a better charger if you have a older charger due to the wattage, cause the battery is bigger you need to charge it and due to the fact they changed the volume buttons to where the power button is and its a bit annoying as you sometimes press the wrong button
The stylus works like a breeze and love how its actually hidden away within a little nook they managed to get in and the apps not fully used but some interesting ones that can be amusing like AR Doodle
Now with screen brightness wow - it is very bright and very vivid screen and sharp, sound quality is brilliant and becomes loud, louder than any phone that I have had before very sharp. I do state this is the best phone I have ever had, even though I taken a star away that star is really a meh
Fortunately this phone was at a fantastic price, bought in October last year and if it was not the price I got it for, I would have skipped cause about 2k for a phone is absurd in my beliefs - regardless of the features it has
It is easy to set up, easy to use and I would state its a worthwhile phone to have indeed
Samsung has created a winner – I ordered the Lime Green from Samsung and I love the colour. The screen is a generous size and while it is big enough to shop and browse the net easily, it still fits in my back pocket. I love the stylus pen. It's such a handy gadget for signing online documents and you can also use it for leisure activities like colouring and drawing. It tucks… Read more · 1
away nicely and is easy to use. The camera is fantastic and the colour is crisp and focus clear. The phone operates smoothly and the apps work without issue. Very happy.
Lost without my S23 Ultra – The phone that lets me do everything, from editing work documents on the run to taking sunset pictures at the end of the day. Easy to navigate, picture quality is amazing, watching netflix on the go, It does it all. I don't own a laptop, so I use my phone for everything, emails, I have multiple email apps for work and personal and its easy to… Read more · 1
navigate between them, If caught on the run at work I use it for MS teams meetings.
Battery life is better then my old Samasung.
Ultra Powerful – Samsung once again hit it out of the park with the S23 Ultra. Camera is absolutely incredible and 30x Zooms are as clear as anything. The ability to shoot videos in 8K 30FPS is a fantastic feature but still have the option to do 4K60 Almost 12 months of ownership and no issues so far! Battery isn't terrible but is dependent on how much you use… Read more · 1
your phone and the apps you use. Phone speakers are very clear and loud, phone screen once again is setting the bar. Apps run as smooth as ever This phone can easily replace your laptop as it has Dex built in
Best phone – Excellent camera and video, huge screen, battery life is good. You need to buy your own wall mount for charger. Show details · 1
not what i expected – As a phone to search the internet make calls etc its as you would expect. Has a big 120Hz display thats decent in direct sunlight, reasonably smooth, never used the s pen because you dont have to, but the biggest problem is the software which bugs out every now and then, it even shuts down unexpectably when in use and reboots, Why??? i have no… Read more
idea, nags you with notifications you cannot disable and comes with alot of bloatware which most of it cannot be uninstalled, spent alot of time going through too many apps and manually disabling and to be honest are worthless and you cannot uninstall these apps, its a pain in the A to use compared to phones samsung used to make 5 or 10 years ago. Battery Use is not great 6 or 7 hours use before having to recharge and it doesnt come with a charger, another bad decision by samsung, so recharging takes alot longer. Another huge turn off are the cameras which really disappoint, daytime images rely heavily on software processing and most of the time images are far too bright with saturated colours and unnatural photos, adjusting settings does not make much difference and unless you are close to a subject the photos are not that good you spend time deleting and retaking photos to achieve an image you are kind of happy with but still leaves you thinking they lookordinary, zoom upto 10 times are good enough but nothing to rave about anything past that and they look pretty bad, distorted and out of focus which seems to be caused by the processing, even after updating to android 14 there was still no improvement. Night images is where it gets worse and the noise in the photos is a real problem, again far too bright and over exposed and when you zoom in on anything the quality gets worse, colous on signs, neon signs are completely washed out and in most cases unreadable, alot of blur and noise. video @4k isnt too bad with good stablization but when you move around it looks choppy, video is decent during daylight and on a tripod completely still 4k looks good, 8k looks no different than 4k but i guess its there if you want to use it, at night the video quality goes downhill and unless you are completely still and dont zoom its actually terrible. I just didnt like the phone for what it is and how it is to use it was disappointing. Finally took it back to where i purchased it from and was given a refund. Samsung for reasons unknown have become alot worse over the years and the Quality is lacking, i would not ever consider buying a samsung product anymore. Considering buying either the Pixel 7 pro or 8 Pro.
Over the last few days i hear Samsung is now taking remote control of customers phones and locking them so owners cannot use them or access their data unless they pay samsung extra money for extra services they do not need or want and until they pay and only then will samsung unlock their phone, that is a problem. No longer a Consumer friendly company, I seriously could not recommend this phone to anyone is more a midrange phone and the price here in Australia at around $2000 is just not worth it. purchase at your own discretion, all i know from personal use is it isnt worth it.
Worst service and support still 3 models later – I have been a faithful Samsung user despite the challenges. There is only one service agent in Tasmania- Essentially Mobile. On Monday three weeks ago I took my phone for a screen repair. I was told the screens are on global shortage. I have heard this before with an S21. To get one I would have to leave my phone with the repairer for four… Read more
days! Remember they are called Essentially Mobile. I didn't do that and left my IMEI with them while they placed an order. Three weeks later still no screen! Appalling.
Another Midrange Phone Masquerading as a Flagship – Galaxy S23 Ultra is another rinse and repeat product from a Company that pumps out more low quality items than Wish dot com. The phones Specs on paper look standard and what you would expect but in reality its all marketing of a device that's been over priced beyond any expectation of reality, This Korean company actually believe they make great… Read more
products in reality they Do Not!. Samsung's Management are to blame for the reputation they deserve as one of the worst when it comes to actual quality, their products, literally any Samsung Product you purchase comes with problems for the consumer and they don't last. We have a Q80T TV, purchased under $1800 on sale and since day 1 using a Ryzen 5 5600x PC, the port for HDMI 2.1 on the TV ( 4k @120Hz) Does not recognise the HDMI 2.1 connection to the PC, unplugging the HDMI cable and re connecting it to the HDMI port on the tv will reestablishes connection, you have to do this every time when rebooting the PC, Why? because its a Samsung with some issue with the HDMI 2./1 port. TV was returned and replaced with a new model Due to the HDMI problem and now not even 12 months later the same thing is occurring again on the replacement tv. Were over it. The Tv now sits in a garage as a dust collector. Will never buy a Samsung Tv again. Have not had any similar issues with LG. Samsung Management or lack of it decided profits over products created in sweat shops are more important than quality products and consumers walk away.
Galaxy S23 Ultra offers plenty of gimmicks yet is the same as the s20 s21 s22 no innovation all using equivalent hardware software and bloat with identical camera quality that pump out over exposed over saturated over brightened flat and bland images using software based processing that has not really improved. Hard to believe anyone would actually be happy with the quality of the camera quality on the S23 ultra, it is midrange at best.
4k Video quality on a Galaxy A70 was impressive, a midrange phone how many years old? but on the S23 Ultra its worse.. How?. The S23 Ultra cannot compete with other brands that actually have good cameras hardware and software: and to be honest do not annoy you or make you realize you.ve been ripped off by Samsung for what you paid and what you get, and good luck going through the process of getting a refund, that takes many months of Your! time, not theirs, Samsung have made it hard to get a refund which becomes a why don't you like it, what's the problem, we offer all the great features you expect, please don't return our product, experience. Retailers know the Samsung Galaxy S series is not a good seller due to the way they are priced compared to what you get. and as a consumer you realize you've been ripped off by Samsung. Huawei, Honor, Pixel, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, Realme and my god, Motorola are all better phones than the S23 Ultra, its no contest. Anyone that's purchased the Galaxy S23 Ultra knows it's not as great as it's been hyped up to be, it is a Midrange phone masquerading as a flagship device worth no more than 5 or $600 and no real improvement from previous versions. Samsung's way of doing things drove consumers away long ago, not a major player in the mobile market with loses year after year and it shows in their products and even the reviewers Samsung pay to gloat about their products use another brand couldn't save a sinking ship.
Good Display Annoying Software Bloat 200 megapixels is a software a gimmick. Mid range Camera's, mid range images Noisy, poor quality night and zoom Images Decent video @ 4k but worse than Midrange phones. 8k is a Video another gimmick Low Quality Speakers and Sound S pen that gets no use Battery life is ok Phone gets hot and throttles Heavy large phone you have to carry. Overpriced beyond reality Not value for money other brands offer better devices

Know better, choose better.
Don't buy - terrible customer service – Marginal improvement over my old S21 but definitely not worth the upgrade especially considering the cost. Also Samsung Australia consumer service is absolutely appalling. My device took weeks to be delivered and they refused to allow me to cancel the order so I could buy one else where. Since I needed a phone I ended up buy another but Samsung… Read more
won't refund my order that arrived much later. It took over a month to get any sort of answer from them about this dispite me contacting them many times.
Literally amazing – I'm not quite sure how they've done it - but this is the perfect phone!! It's SNAPPY - I literally haven't seen it lag ONCE even a little bit. The battery life, camera, screen, speakers - they're all amazing. The new built-in app optimisation is also great - I love how I can use all of the camera's lenses within Snapchat. Coming from a Galaxy… Read more · 1
S20+, I cannot stress how much of a worthwhile upgrade this phone is.
I also really like the green colour (and matching green silicone case), and although sceptical initially of the device's size and ergonomics - they have proven to be manageable.
The bigger screen size makes watching stuff and taking photos a breeze, and is great in collab with the S Pen. Set up one-handed mode, and if you're ever using it with one hand, it's easy to click buttons at the top of the screen. It's also great to see Samsung acknowledging the size of their phones, and optimising all Samsung apps for one-handed operation, by placing common UI elements within a thumb's reach in the bottom-half of the display, and providing the option to move many elements to such a position by swiping down. These little things that Samsung kept in mind while designing the phone make it such a breeze to use, especially in comparison to the stinginess of the iPhone's UI layout.
Also weird little things I've noticed: The new type of glass on the screen is really good - it hasn't scratched even a little bit, and somehow it manages to not pick up lots of finger grease, so it's show-off level clean most of the times I pull it out of my pocket. The speakers sound a lot more balanced, are more punchy, and feature better bass than my S20+.
By far this is the best phone Samsung has made so far!!
