Samsung Should be Ashamed for Ripping of Customers with defective Products – I upgraded to the S7 edge. What a mistake. I paid top dollar and got a lemon. Samsung Knew that there was an issue with these phones but sold them anyway. The S7 edge phone develops pink vertical lines down the screen for no reason. My phone itself is in pristine condition and has never been dropped, and the line started thin but got thicker… Read more

over time. It is blatantly obvious that there is a problem with these phones getting a line down the screen. It is all over the internet, and the lines are all in the same area.

The Samsung S7 edge is a defective product. After media negative consumer feedback Samsung itself acknowledges that the Galaxy S7 Edge has a Pink Line Issue.

It is not the first time Samsung had had and issue with phones. This is a manufacturing fault and there should have been a recalled and fixed, as Samsung did with when there was a problem with Samsung Note 7 which Samsung confirmed had a battery faults that cause fires and was recalled. Why did Samsung not do this with the S7 edge? You just need to Google “Samsung S7 edge Pink line problem” and you will see thousands of articles about this fault.

I went to a Samsung kiosk and was told by a Samsung representatives to scroll through red, blue, and green a number of times to resolve this issue. This was a lie and just time wasting by Samsung. It seems that Samsung operates on deception and dishonesty. Like many others, I paid a premium price for a faulty product, and then wast hours running around trying to get the problem fixed, only to be mislead. I will not wast anymore money buying Samsung. They have extremely poor customers service, terrible product quality and obviously have no business ethics or integrity. Samsung slogan should be "make money at any cost" oblivious they don't care about doing the right thing or customer satisfaction.

The photo below shows some examples of the pink line issue on many of the Samsung S7 edge. Samsung, can you honestly say it is NOT a manufacturing fault or poor quality and defective product? Samsung you are trying to Compete with Apple, but you are cheating, you are cheating your customers by providing them with a defective product.

Why s7 edge can never be as smooth as Oneplus 3 or google pixel ?? – I might have to declare one thing once and for all.....there’s absolutely nothing wrong with this phone except the latency and smoothness I mean just to switch between apps or general web browsing when there was absolutely no additional added apps ..... was still not very smooth..... if you have used a pixel or Oneplus phone then you know what I… Read more

am talking about ..... and I wonder why ?? Also the phone heat up quite easily if you use it as a wifi hotspot for other phone while doing activities on the phone ..... even very minor web browsing will cause the phone to heat up very very quickly ..... the phone also will start to slow down less than one month of usage if you start to put more apps into your phone .......

The only thing that’s good about the phone is it’s display and design

But then again who’s going to get a phone just for its look while user experience is extremely unpleasant

Out of all 2016 flagships I’ve used this is by far the worse

Huawei mate 9 is a lot more pleasant to use and doesn’t slow down with time ...... with a better camera and more importantly a bigger battery that last much I mean MUCH longer .....basically can go whole day without charging and that’s with heavy usage ...... with s7 edge I need to top up twice a day at least and that’s with light to medium usage

Another thing which was pretty kool was I got this phone with just aud 250 because the back was slightly cracked and I was the only one that bid on that phone in ebay so I was pretty lucky

Overall I am disappointed with this phone and because of this I simply do not wish to use a Samsung phone again

Great phone, expandable storage to 256GB & exceptional service from Samsung live chat – This is larger than my last Samsung, but I still love the weight and feel of the phone. My family and friends usually ask me to take photos when we are out due to the amazing photo quality. Samsung has lots of great apps, and it is very easy to transfer data from your old phone. I have been able to organise my apps into folders to save… Read more

clogging up the screen.

Smart switch allows you to easily back up all the phone information in case of any issues. I found this very handy recently when I bought a 256GB from a dodgy seller. So not Samsungs fault (mine!).

I find the phone very intuitive and easy to use! I really cannot think of anything negative to say about the phone, and I'm sure someone with more technical knowledge could outlines the phones other features better than I am.

I did not find the face to face support from Samsung to be very motivated or helpful. In contrast, the Samsung Live Chat team are phenomenal. They will spend as long as it takes to help you resolve an issue. I have accessed Live Chat twice. Once when I wanted to check the best backup method and how to perform it. The second time a rep spent well over an hour with me on live chat. This was due to a SD card issue from an Ebay vendor - but they knew this and still tried everything with me to back up & test the phone and the SD card. Amazing, thanks Mary (from 25/04/2018 live chat).

Outstanding phone – Best phone I have every owned. November 2019 and still going strong. no intentions of upgrading. The only issue I have seen is that the screen is a little fragile and can get damaged easily Show details ·  1

Good phone – This is my first Samsung phone, I have been using this phone for last three years. Haven't had any issues, performs very well. The apps run smoothly. Love the fingerprints scanner, it's pretty fast and works instantly. The phone started to get slow last year, fixed by uninstalling unnecessary apps and reset it back to factory settings. Would definitely purchase another Galaxy S series.  Show details

Still good enough to get the job done – Once you chuck on a case most phones almost look the same, and this is the main deterrent from me buying a current generation phone. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge still performs strongly today even though it's now two generations old. It is quick and responsive with a really sharp screen, so you could spend something more getting the latest and… Read more

greatest but the experience won't be a whole lot better than what the S7 Edge can already provide. I definitely recommend this phone for someone who is looking for a good Android phone and I believe it's one of the last few flagship phones with a physical home button.

In summary, if this phone breaks/dies I'd probably consider buying another one.

Worked fine until two years but died after update from Samsung – I bought this phone in 2017 as I liked the phone, the curved screen and its features. Last month in October after a update from Samsung, it frequently started hanging and restarting for no reason and then suddenly didn't turn on on one day. And this happened only after the update and immediately when the two years of warranty finished. I think… Read more

this was intentionally from Samsung!!! Samsung customer service told me that they will charge 300 euros for it and the motherboard has died. But how can it happen suddenly? What a waste of money!!! Over 700 euros device has such terrible internal components!! I would never ever recommend any Samsung products! Cheap internal quality devices!!!

loved it at first – Loved my phone at first and than I went shopping for the screen cover and nothing lasted. Because of the edge every single screen cover was peeling off within a day from putting it on. Now my screen is all cracked, will never ever buy phone with round edge. Very expensive lesson for me. Show details

Good dependable phone – I am still using this phone, I changed to another phone and use this as my backup phone. It’s still great, only thing, it’s a bit slow now so that’s why it’s not my main phone. It is small and compact and works well. The Android phone has a heart rate monitor with finger touch and you can unlock with your finger sensor. It’s a good dependable phone.

Was good for 6 months – I gave 2 stars because at first it was a good phone but as with most things Samsung didn't last long. After 9 or 10 months I got a pink line down one side of the screen and Samsung replaced the phone with a refurbished one. The phone they gave me however was and is very particular about which micro usb chargers will work with it. At first this… Read more

wasn't a problem as the battery used to last the whole day but a few software updates ago the battery started dying in half the time and recent updates don't seem to have addressed this. So I'll have add this to my list of Samsung products that didn't last. Samsung Microwave 2 years 1 month before complete failure Samsung Fridge 4 years before drawers ice up and can't be opened. S7 Phone charging port and battery approximately 18 months.

pretty great, but interface annoying and keyboard less accurate than iphone – I converted from iPhone to this and I'm generally very happy with it. The keyboard is less accurate than on the iphone which makes for somewhat annoying texting, and I wish they had indeed gone ahead with the smaller version as the screen size makes usage a bit annoying. GPS problems – It is a great phone. But it has a lack of GPS navigation. The battery is great. Lasts for ages. The phone processor works fast. Anyway, GPS is not working. Think it is just the gps modem. We tried many different things to fix it, but still had no success. Bright high resolution screen. Very stylish phone. Think on getting a gps navigator!) Purchased on eBay, do not know if we can get it repaired. Only give 4 stars because of the GPS.  Show details

Expensive but the best – The edge offers a great looking display as it curves around the screen but i did have to put a phone case to stop my palm accidentally touching the screen. Camera is top quality with sharp images and takes good photos in the dark. Prone to screen cracks if dropped which cost $300 to repair because of the edge screen. Have not had any phone or software issues so do recommend.  Show details

Great product overall – I love this phone. It is worth upgrading from any Samsung phones below the s7. I went from s5 to s7 and it's so worth it especially when you could pay as low as $350 on eBay or even less. i really enjoy the multitasking features in the phone. The look of the phone is very sleek looking and nice as well. The only downside is that the phone gets quite hot after extended periods of time. Battery life is about average as well.  Show details

I loved it but – I don’t like that the back is glass, and the front is so easy to break and costs an arm and a leg to replace.. so once I cracked it after 1 month brand new the screen had gone black. It is very disappointing, it was my first phone away from Apple since the iPhone 4 came out and I have gone back and I am stuck with a plan for a Samsung and am using my iPhone again..  Show details

Great phone. Best features – It is an excellent buy with all the awesome features that you can expect from a high-end phone.
