Should have bought something better – I bought this phone to replace a Telstra branded ZTE 4g phone that had a cracked screen. I thought that being a Samsung it would perform OK and since I didn't really need too much internet the 3g version with 4 gig memory would suit. The phone is very slow, a step back from the cheaper ZTE. Battery life isn't great. Camera is fairly OK and it… Read more

does have a flash. I got so frustrated with its lack of performance that I replaced it with another newer model ZTE.

But I have had the phone for over a year, it is used every day to play podcasts, and it is still going well, whereas the ZTE has had to be fixed twice, once for a failed camera and once it just stopped charging.

So overall I would say it is a reliable but slow phone, I wonder if I had bought the 4g version with more memory whether o would still be using it now.

Regrettable purchase – Terrible battery life, had to charge it up 4 times a day. Would jam up all the time and you had to take the battery off to get it going again. The screen was super sensitive. You couldnt type too fast on it or it would get confused and stop working. The most frustrating phone I've ever owned  Show details

So far so good – I've only had this phone for around 2 weeks and so far it's suited my needs. This is the first smartphone I have used, and as I'm not great with technology it's taking some time to get used to it. Firstly, the best features for me was I was able to use my regular sized sim card in it, which was good. There is a setting for first time smartphone… Read more

users which gives you a simpler layout to use. The camera takes really good pictures, although I'm told the flash is blinding to people when you use it on them. The size of the device also suits me as I didn't want a really large phone, even if it does come with a better screen.

The things I've found hard to work out, even after looking at the manual I accessed online (the phone doesn't come with a print copy) is how to delete things (texts, photos). Through trial and error I have worked this out, but it's not as straightforward as I would have thought. I've also been unable to transfer the photos from the phone to either of my computers, something that was easy to do with my other phones/cameras etc. The battery wears down rather quickly, even though I'm not really using it too much, more so than my last new phone.

Overall so far it's been good, but does take a bit of getting used to.

Perfect – Perfect for my husband who only wanted a phone that has Bluetooth, answer calls, ring people, and message. He could also use the same sim card, he didn't have to get a micro one.

So far this phone has been great! Exactly what I needed – I purchased this phone for $199 and so far I am very happy with it. The camera takes some great photos (mainly outdoors in good lighting) and the flash is also good. Fairly easy to use! The touchscreen is responsive. The basic Android features are great. The only issue I'm having is I can't work out how to take the password lock off it. … Read more

So far I am very happy with the performance of this phone. I've had it for 2 months and it's been great. If I have any problems I'll be updating my review but hopefully I won't find any problems with it.

The only downside is I bought this phone from Dick Smith with extended warranty and after a few recent purchases there, I would warn anyone from purchasing any electronic from a Dick Smith Store. The customer service is shocking and the staff are abusive. They won't repair, refund or replace.

Good value phone – I purchased this phone to replace another Samsung Galaxy phone which was getting way too old and outdated. It's a fairly good phone and good value for the price ($199). Its got your basic android features and it works well for me as I don't store heaps of stuff on my phone and I don't really play games...not sure how it is with games. I would… Read more

have rather bought the new Iphone but the $800 price tag turns me off. I think $200 is a reasonable price for a phone.

I find that the battery goes flat fairly quickly but I think this is the case with most smartphones.

Perfect – I bought this android phone to replace my LG Optimus (that I'd been very happy with). An excellent phone at a reasonable price ($199). Very responsive to touch and I love the interface. Great camera as well. Very happy with its performance and would highly recommend for someone wanting a good phone with all the basic android features.
